Chapter 206: Chapter 206 Zhou Yun!

”Come in, the door’s unlocked.”

Ling Feng raised his eyebrows, recognizing the voice as a female’s, and given that she was looking for Zhou Kai, she was very likely his sister.

The next moment, a slightly shy girl walked in from outside the courtyard, slightly lowering her head, appearing somewhat bashful.

Ouyang Jing was practicing with his long sword, and upon seeing the girl, he dropped his sword on the ground with a clang.

This was a girl who looked very pure. She wasn’t stunning, but she was pleasant to look at, and possessed a delicate and exquisite beauty, giving off an air of a demure, well-bred young lady.

”Where’s Zhou Kai?” The young girl’s large, beautiful eyes surveyed the courtyard. Not seeing Zhou Kai, she bit her lip and furrowed her brows.

The girl slightly lifted her head, looking weakly at Ling Feng and the other two, ”Excuse me, do you know where Zhou Kai has gone?”

”He was said to have gone to the Sword Fighting Arena,” Ling Feng replied, seeing that Ouyang Jing was still foolishly standing there in silence.

”I just came from the Sword Fighting Arena. My brother fought He Zhonglei from the West Courtyard on the Sword Fighting Platform for my sake, and knocked out He Zhonglei’s front teeth. I heard that He Zhonglei wants revenge against my brother, so I came to see him and suggest that he shouldn’t go out alone these days.”

As the girl spoke, her eyebrows knitted deeper together, ”I know He Zhonglei’s brother is an A-class Disciple at the academy, and their He Family has significant influence in the Imperial City. I’m really afraid something might happen to my brother...”

Ling Feng touched his nose, realizing that this young girl was indeed Zhou Kai’s sister.

It was ironic how Zhou Kai, who resembled a bear in stature, had such a delicate-looking sister.

Just as Ling Feng was about to reply, there was a loud bang as the courtyard gate was violently kicked open. The gate crashed down, but thankfully, Ling Feng had quickly pulled the girl standing by the door to safety, or she might have been hit.

”Where the hell is Zhou Kai? Where is that bastard?”

Four burly, fierce-looking men walked in behind a slim youth with a sharp, monkey-like face, strutting arrogantly.

The leader, a man with a small mustache, was slightly slurring his words, which revealed he was missing two front teeth.

It appeared that this man was He Zhonglei, the West Courtyard student mentioned by Zhou Kai’s sister.

As he entered, He Zhonglei cursed loudly, ”Where’s Zhou Kai? You’ve got the guts to knock out my teeth, but not to face me?”

Suddenly, He Zhonglei’s voice halted as if he had discovered something remarkable.

”Hey? Zhou Yun? Ha ha...”

He Zhonglei’s mouth dripped with saliva as he sucked it back in sharply, ”Xiao Yun, you’re here too! Great, my dear, as long as you’re willing to be with me, I can overlook what your brother did. I guarantee you both will lead a comfortable life in the Imperial City, and even walk sideways at the Heavenly Position Academy!”

With that, He Zhonglei reached out to grab Zhou Yun’s hand.

Zhou Yun, trembling nervously, quickly hid behind Ling Feng; her eyes filled with fear.

Seeing this, Ouyang Jing gritted his teeth and charged forward, shouting at the arrogant He Zhonglei, ”What are you doing? Looking to start trouble?”

”What if I am starting trouble? What can you do about it?”

He Zhonglei casually flicked Ouyang Jing’s forehead a few times, ”You country bumpkins really should go out and find out who my elder brother is and how high our He Family stands in the Imperial City! Thinking of outsmarting us? Playing hero? With just you?” He laughed loudly, followed by his tall henchmen who also began to laugh derisively.

Ouyang Jing clenched his fists, the knuckles cracking like popping beans, anger flashing in his eyes.

Before heading to the Imperial City, the elders within the family had repeatedly instructed that the Imperial City was unlike Hanwu County; one absolutely must not offend people at will, otherwise their small Ouyang Family could not bear the retaliation.

He could disregard his own concerns, but he had to consider his family.

”Hmph, useless!” He Zhonglei casually pushed Ouyang Jing aside, rubbing his hands excitedly. His thieving eyes fixed on Zhou Yun as he sneered, ”Little darling, come over here!”

Zhou Yun’s face turned deathly pale with fear, and her body started trembling. ”You... don’t come any closer! Otherwise, I... I’ll fight you!”

”Fight? Hahaha...” He Zhonglei laughed arrogantly with a sinister grin, ”Well then, come to my bed and fight to the death with me. My bed is big and comfortable!”

He Zhonglei snickered wickedly, while his henchmen behind him whistled unabashedly, every one of them a vile creature.

”You... you’re shameless!”

Zhou Yun was so infuriated that she was at a loss for words, tears swirling in her eyes.

”You haven’t seen the worst yet!” He Zhonglei, seeing that Ling Feng had remained silent the whole time, ignored Ling Feng’s presence completely and reached for Zhou Yun’s wrist.

Just then, He Zhonglei suddenly felt a chill on his neck, instinctively freezing in place.

The next moment, he was horrified to discover that a treasure sword, chilling to the bone—the Fine Iron Long Sword that Ouyang Jing had dropped—was positioned at his neck.

”Gulp...”

He Zhonglei swallowed hard. The individual he hadn’t taken seriously at all, dared to strike in broad daylight?

This was outrageous, this was the Heavenly Position Academy, and he dared to kill someone within the academy?

Within the Heavenly Position Academy, private duels were strictly forbidden, let alone inflicting deadly harm between disciples. Unless it was on the Sword Fighting Platform, having signed a Life and Death Contract, any such incident would be punished severely.

”What... what are you trying to do?”

He Zhonglei’s arrogance deflated instantly, and the henchmen who had come with him were dumbstruck in fear.

”Blow your whistle, go on!” Ling Feng’s eyes flashed with a cold gleam, ”What’s wrong? Isn’t it sounding nice?”

He Zhonglei’s mouth twitched. Having his life in the hands of another, he dared not act rashly, sweating profusely, he gritted his teeth, ”Who are you? I advise you not to act recklessly!”

”Act recklessly?” Ling Feng’s Long Sword rubbed against He Zhonglei’s neck. The cold Sword Edge against his skin made him tremble all over.

”If you’ve got... got any guts, don’t play sneak attacks!” He Zhonglei clenched his fists tightly, gritting his teeth, ”Tomorrow noon, our West Courtyard challenges your East Courtyard to a group sword fight. If you’re brave enough, step onto the Sword Fighting Platform. Our people from the West Courtyard will break every single one of you East Courtyard weaklings!”

Seeing that He Zhonglei had no intention to strike again, Ling Feng casually pushed him away and said nonchalantly, ”I’ll accompany you anytime!”

Seeing He Zhonglei being let go, each of his henchmen drew their weapons in anger, ”Damn it, dare to lay a hand on our Boss!”

”Put them away!”

He Zhonglei turned back and shot a glare at his henchmen, then turned back to sternly stare at Ling Feng, ”Alright, kid, you’ve got guts! I, He Zhonglei, will remember you!”

After speaking, He Zhonglei finally led his group of followers and turned to leave.

This guy finally kept his word.
