Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 432: Chapter 430:“Dead at the gates.”

All around us, multiple wormholes appeared as spaceships poured out of them like a tide.

We were surrounded before we could even understand what was happening.

”Kekekekekeke... Commander Maximoff Daurous, it is a pleasure meeting you here.” A ginormous ship at the lead moved slowly toward us. At the helm stood,

”A mecha? Damn.” To think I’d be encountering a mecha just moments after entering space, things were already looking very interesting.

”My boys here had told me they sensed a familiar energy reading earlier, and who would’ve thought it’d be you Thraxans on one of your expeditions, kekekekeke... luckily I decided to follow you, and now look what I found.” The mecha, or rather, the person within, turned toward me. ”You there, human. Hand over whatever it is you’re holding and I’ll make your deaths swift.”

There it is. The foolish bum just seeking to die.

”Traxis, you dare follow an Aetheris expedition fleet? Do you seek death so much?” Max’s grim voice sounded out.

”Kekekekeke... Little pup, don’t play that game with me. You’ve been unable to catch me all this while, and now I’ve come prepared. Forget about leaving here alive. So just wait patiently like a good boy while I handle that human over there.” The mecha dismissed Max as his attention returned to me.

”Human! Do not waste my time. Hand over whatever it is you’re holding, your ship, and those women, and I promise to make your death swift.”

There it is...

I didn’t even have the luxury to get angry before,

”Filthy scum. What did you just say?” The temperature in space somehow dropped even lower, if that were even possible.

Aunt V’s murderous aura erupting outward.

”Hoo... it seems there’s never an end to foolishness in this life.” Even Clarissa’s voice had gone cold.

The women behind me all turned murderous the moment they heard the words coming from the mecha man.

”Dante...” Dakota’s cold and murderous voice reached my ears. I didn’t need her to say anything else.

”You girls go ahead and have fun.” I shook my head, trying to curb my own rage and let the girls vent.

”Oh... I will.” All I saw was a blur of red and then...

BOOOOOMMM!!!

An explosion lit the darkness around us as multiple ships were instantly turned into rubble. In the middle of the destruction, Dakota floated in her transformed state. Lean, with bat-like wings sprouting from her back. Her arms had elongated, ending with pitch-black claws at the tips.

SCREEECHHH!!

She shrieked and then dove for the surviving pirates.

BZZZZZZZZT! BZZZZZZZZT! BZZZZZZZZT!

A barrage of rapid-fire laser blasts lit up the dark space as multiple mechas appeared from the wreckage, blasters propped and firing a torrent at the rampaging figure of Dakota, but...

CREAAANK!!!

The space around the mechas suddenly contracted and then.

BANG! BANG! BANG!!

Successive explosions echoed out as the robots were dismantled and destroyed.

Aunt V stood in the distance, an arm raised as the space around her churned in excitement.

She was in her element and these guys were about to regret their word choices.

”Fufufufu... well then, time to stretch my legs.” Clarissa laughed as she disappeared from the spot. The moment she reappeared was in the midst of multiple ships that had gone silent, all life within them having been snuffed out.

ROOOOOARRRRRR!!!!!

A roaring inferno of flames lit up space as Melissa let go of her inhibitions, the heat from the multicolored flames being felt even from outer space.

They had been freed from Terra’s restrictions, and now it was time for them to stretch those sore powers.

One by one, the girls readied themselves and dove straight into the fray.

Kaila’s body was surrounded by a globe of pure darkness as her presence vanished.

Cara’s body was covered by dark black ice as she manifested multiple towering nether ice pikes, shooting them toward a cluster of ships as she herself got moving.

Mira, like Aunt C, was more attuned to the essence of life, but unlike her aunt who was having fun draining the life essence from poor pirates, Mira went a bit darker. Her arms glowed a deep, vibrant green as her eyes flashed with a sadistic light.

”Overload.” Her arms aimed at a ship in the distance as the green glow covered the vessel, the vitality within shooting to alarming levels. In fact, it was so intense that the bodies of those within couldn’t contain it, and then,

BANG! BANG! BANG!

They popped like balloons overfilled with air, the ship going silent.

”Oh... I’m going to enjoy this.” She moved, a sadistic smile on her face.

Seems she really wasn’t so different from her crazy aunt after all.

”At least she’s having fun.” I smiled fondly as I watched her dive in like a wolf among sheep, the pirates around her, mecha-armored or not, popping like balloons wherever she passed.

Khalifa, as usual, was more direct. Her blade was coated in a mesmerizing blue ice that left trails in space with each swing. Her every move took with it a life. Nothing was wasted. She was like a ballerina of death.

”Hot.”

As for Liz, freshly out of the clutches of the church, she didn’t dawdle.

Her arms spread out as her eyes flashed. Wherever she pointed, all that was left was a patch of pure white. Nothing else.

She looked at me, smiled, and then dove into the carnage.

All around me, there were only explosions, dropping ships, exploding bodies, or lifeless silence.

A feeling of pride welled up within me as I watched the girls work. They couldn’t have looked any hotter.

”Alright fellas!! Let’s get going before we lose out on all the fun. Ahahahahahaha!!!” Malachi laughed as his body flashed with a golden light. His golden armor appearing on his body as his staff grew to an obscene size.

”ORYYAAAAAAA!!!!” He swung the massive thing down with gusto, the swing taking with it another batch of ships.

”Ahahahahahahahaha!!!! Come, you fuckers!!”

ROOOOOARRRRRRRR!!!!!

A deafening roar thundered through space as Paku’s form exploded in size, the figure of a titanic kaiju appearing where the little furball had once been.

He struck out with arms the size of skyscrapers and claws the length of pillars. The sheer force from the attack turned a dozen mecha-wearing pirates into nothing but scrap metal. His massive form bounded forward as his own bloodbath began.

Haaa~~~

A low and depressing sigh echoed through the entire region as Leo’s form began changing.

”Honestly, can’t everyone just behave themselves? Must I be forced to work? I hate working.” His voice was slow, cold, and dreary. ”Since you guys won’t let me rest properly, then I shall not allow you the privilege either.”

A cold chill spread through the place, this one not belonging to space.

”Veil of The Lost.”

The moment the words left his lips, there weren’t any explosions. The pirates around him, mecha-piloting or not, just stopped moving, their bodies becoming rigid in place. And just when everyone was wondering what was happening,

”Let me be your guide to eternal... rest.”

”Return to Despair.”

The frozen pirates, one after the other, began breaking apart, their forms turning into grey particles that disappeared into the void of space.

”Damn! You damn chicken! Your techniques are still as spooky as ever!” Malachi yelled out from his own stretch of the region.

ROOOOOARRRRR!!!!

Paku, uncaring for anything that was going on, just roared and struck true against another swath of pirates.

His actions, like a switch, resumed the battle that had been paused by Leo’s freaky display.

My eyes slowly left the dwindling pirate armada as I focused on the leading mecha. The face of the man within had gone frighteningly pale with rage.

”So, I guess it’s your turn to go now, isn’t that right?” My voice successfully snapped them from their stunned states.

Max looked at me with eyes that clearly showed the man firmly understood the situation.

”Heh. Smart man.”

Unfortunately,

”YOU FILTHY HUMAN!!!!!” Not everyone was destined to be wise today.

The leading mecha roared as it charged up its thrusters, a pair of gigantic plasma swords that twisted the space around them appearing within its open arms.

The mecha’s frame glowed, and then two pairs of plasma wings sprang out from the back of the machine.

The energy readings were shooting through the roof.

I couldn’t help but think of how useful it would be to have had the radar those arrogant monkey men used in that one anime.

”Haa... guess I’ll just make my own when I get the chance, or I could just...” My grin widened as an even better idea crossed my mind.

”DIEEEEEEE!!!!!” The mechanical roar of the leading mecha snapped me from my thoughts as the robot had somehow ignored distance and manifested right before me, plasma blades already inches from my neck.

I didn’t bother moving, because,

”First form...”

A cold and emotionless voice echoed through the battlespace, a sudden silence befalling everything, and then...

ZIING!

A straight line appeared on the mecha, bisecting it cleanly into two equal halves.

BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!

The thing erupted in a shower of catastrophic flames as the old man finally appeared a few feet away, back turned, bandage-wrapped broadsword in hand, his voice echoing once more through the silent region,

”Dead at the gates.”
