Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 415: Chapter 413:New System Interface.

Vhaez’ul Qhae’ruun Nhae’vorr

A true name.

Now, I wasn’t a stranger to the idea of a true name, life as Kyle doing its work. But for that to be appearing now?

And what the fuck even is that? How the fuck do I pronounce that shit?

”Vhaez—”

”Don’t...” Shaia placed a hand over my mouth before I could continue.

Giving her a curious look, I signaled for her to let me go.

”You won’t try to pronounce those words?” she asked.

”Hmm.” I could only nod in agreement.

”Alright...” She slowly pulled her hand back as I regained my freedom.

”Haa... so, what happened? Why did you stop me from trying to pronounce those words?”

”Because you can’t. Or rather, you shouldn’t.”

”Huh! Why? They’re just a bunch of words.”

”No, Dante, they’re not,” she shook her head, ”do you even understand what a true name is?”

I was almost answering before she cut me off, ”and no, I don’t want to hear another bullshit theory you came up with from reading novels.” That shut me right back up.

”So what are they?” I asked, now curious.

”True names are basically your being quintessentialized into words.”

”I’m sorry, my love, but you’re using big boy words. Dumb it down for us, the less fortunate.”

BANG!

”Ughh...”

”Be serious.”

I groaned in pain as I rubbed my stomach.

”You can’t go around speaking your true name offhandedly, at least not within this creation, it won’t be able to handle it.”

”What? That’s not true.”

”Dante, my love. I think you’re underestimating a little too much just what your true name represents. You’re the first ever Chaos-Outer Source hybrid to come into being, do you know what prestige you bear?” Her voice was solemn.

”I don’t, Shaia. I’m just regaining my memories. Everything is still blurry, and the last thing I need is some epic identity reveal. I’m fine just being Mother’s son. I’m fine just being the lover of you and the girls. I’m fine just being Absolute. All these other distinctions, I didn’t ask for.”

”And besides, if I’m such a prestigious being, who the fuck named me? I know for sure it wasn’t Mother, since she never called me this, so who the hell had enough authority to name a so-called Chaos-Outer Source hybrid?” I asked, disgruntled.

”This... I don’t know,” was Shaia’s reply.

”You don’t?”

”I don’t. In fact, no one does. It’s just something we all instinctively know once we come into existence. All the outer-source beings have theirs, the chaos beings have theirs as well. It is like I said, your entire being contextualized into words. And to invoke them is to invoke your true being onto the world around you, and this creation, young as it is, cannot bear the weight of your true being, my love.”

I could only sigh and shake my head at her words.

”Well, you can at least tell me what they mean, right?”

”I cannot. Only the bearer of his name can know what it means, unless he wishes to disclose it. Heck, I can’t even read it properly, which is even stranger because I could already read my father’s name when he manifested it once before, and my father is Nothingness, but you, my love, are a strange case altogether.”

”Haa... right. Just my fucking luck.” I let out a slow breath as I decided to get it over with, ”so, how do I do it?”

”It’s simple, just wish for your name to present its meaning, and it will.”

”That’s it?”

”That’s it.”

”Alright then...” Here goes nothing.

I focused back on the name before me.

Vhaez’ul Qhae’ruun Nhae’vorr

Staring at those strange words, I let only one thought settle in my mind.

”Reveal your truth.”

I hadn’t even finished my thoughts when the words began changing.

From the jargon earlier, they began rearranging, translating themselves into something readable, something understandable, and once they were done, what I saw was...

The First Breath of Chaos.

The Breath That Begat the Beginning.

The Last Breath of Infinity.

The moment I finished reading those words,

DUUUMMMM!!!!

A heavy feeling washed over my being. Like something had finally realigned itself.

My breath slowed.

Even now, after having been shown what they meant, I still couldn’t wrap my head around it.

The first breath of chaos? The breath that begat the beginning? The last breath of infinity?

Since when did infinity have a last breath? And wasn’t chaos a concept that birthed chaos beings like myself? So how was I supposed to be the first breath?

The reveal didn’t do anything to solve my curiosity, if anything, it made matters worse.

”So? What does it say?”

”I thought you said I couldn’t speak it out loud.”

”I meant the ancient Sanskrit, not the translated meaning, you dunce.”

”Oh! Then it says here I’m the first breath of chaos, the breath that begat the beginning, and the last breath of infinity.”

”Huh? What does that even mean?”

”Fuck if I know.” I shrugged, ”but, like all things, we’ll discover it in time. For now, I believe we’ve spent enough time on something that isn’t bringing us any tangible answers,” I answered, intent on moving on.

”Yes, I guess you’re right...”

I willed the system on and then...

Overwhelming. That’s what it was.

The entire system panel looked like something I couldn’t even begin to compare with the old one.

”I told you, your existence was too broad a thing for that watered-down version to even try to comprehend, but this...” Shaia pointed to the panel before us, ”is who you truly are, my love.” Her voice was filled with awe. It seems even she herself was surprised by some of the things on here.

As for me? Well, I didn’t even have words to begin describing what I was seeing.

It’s one thing knowing what you are, but seeing it presented before you so sharply and crisply? With some information being things you yourself didn’t even know about yourself? Yes, it was heavy.

But I’d already said I needed answers, and here were some right before me. So, instead of whining and bitching, I made myself comfortable as I placed my head on Shaia’s shoulder, her back leaning against my chest, and then, I dove into the first thing on the menu:
