Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 405: Chapter 403:Infinity..

Before there was the concept of creation, there existed things even above that.

There existed things believed to be infinite.

The Void.

Nothingness.

Emptiness.

Horror.

....

Concepts many were familiar with, yet few truly understood.

For if one were to ask, ”What is nothingness?” Then many would say a lack of existence. Others would say an absence of matter.

But if that were true, then what would be Void?

Emptiness?

Weren’t all these an absence or lack of something?

Well, I digress...

....

Within an expanse of infinity...

The concept of creation did not exist here, or better yet, the one responsible for this expanse, the being tasked with triggering creation, wasn’t bothered to do so.

”Aunt Devouring...” a sweet and soothing voice echoed through the lacking space. The speaker was nowhere to be seen, her presence nothing but a figment of the imagination.

”Hmmmm....” A low feminine hum rumbled through the expanse as a spot of light finally appeared. And the moment it did—

WENG!!!

It lit up the infinite lacking like a light bulb, turning lacking into something.

A being materialized, the size of which would be impossible to put into words. It transcended the concept of size, why would it not, when the concept of size had yet to be born within this expanse?

It’s body was dotted with myriad lights, swirling nebulae, collapsing black holes, all of literal creation could be seen within it.

”Little Shaia... you’re disturbing my sleep,” the being spoke, her voice sounding too soothing and calming for a being of her essence.

”Teehee. Aunt Devouring, you need to stop being lazy. It’s already been how long since your conception within Infinity?”

”Time has no meaning for beings like us, Shaia. It is however long I want it to be at all times.”

”You’re just abusing your authority now.”

”That, little Shaia, I am indeed.” The being laughed, her voice sending the infinite lacking around her churning as lacking once more became something.

A silence fell within the expanse as the two beings seemed to be lost in whatever went on through the heads of beings like them.

”How is it coming along?” The feminine voice asked, her being still evidently absent.

”Fufufu... its coming along better than I imagined. It should be any time now, or never. Who knows?”

”For someone that has sacrificed her very origin on a whim, you’re too casual about this, Aunt Devouring.”

”It is like you said, Shaia, it is merely a whim. And I might’ve lost my origin of devouring, but if it fails, I shall merely reclaim it back,” the being voiced out.

”Why? Aunt Devouring, why would you even do this?” The feminine voice asked. She couldn’t understand it. For beings of literal eternity, why do such a tedious thing? And she wasn’t even the first.

”Heh! I believe you should ask your father the same question, little Shaia. After all, he did the same as I am now, no? It is because you exist that I even do this. I want a spawn of my own. I want to see the difference,” the being said.

”But Father is one of them. He is inherently different from the likes of you. He can actually be allowed such a privilege, even though most of his kind refuse to ever entertain such a thing.”

”As for chaos, all I know is that creation is where you are meant to be. Make your own existence. Grow it, and with that, grow yourself. That is what the others do, is it not?”

”Heh! And what use is that? I have seen what the others do. I have even challenged them within their own creation. And what did that amount to? Nothing.” The being scoffed, ”Not a single one of them has been able to defeat me. Their so-called apostles, beings wielding aspects of their nature, they are but mere playthings in the larger scheme of things. I am not interested in playthings, Shaia. I need something genuine,” the being answered.

”And you believe sacrificing your origin is the way to get it?” The one called Shaia questioned.

”I believe it to be something to bear fruit far more useful than what the others do. That is why I refuse to initiate creation. I shall leave it as a gift to him.”

”Him?”

”Yes. I believe that is how they described them from my many visits to the creations of the others.”

”Teehee. Then, can I stay with you? All Father does is brood about there being no meaning to existence when all things eventually return to him, and he then is forced to get to work by sending them to Uncle Sam and the others.”

”Hahahaha!!! If he heard you say something like that...”

”Blerghhh...”

”Alright. You can stay with your Aunt Devouring. I believe even Nothingness himself will be unwilling to be eaten by me.” One could’ve sworn that a predatory grin had appeared briefly on the face of the being.

....

And so, time passed. Or maybe it did not. It was impossible to tell, at least, until there was a change...

HUUUUUUMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!

On that very point in infinity, a low hum traveled through the expanse, far and wide.

The beings residing here were immediately stirred.

”What is it now? How long has it been? Should another one of us be born by now?” A swirling nebula of lights rumbled as an aged voice echoed throughout the surrounding expanse.

An impossible-to-calculate distance away, a reply arrived, ignoring all forms of distance, ”I do not know, but I can recognize from whence it comes.”

”It is from that troublesome lass,” another voice, ignoring any form of distance, reached out.

”Devouring...” the first voice replied, a grim sense of urgency in its voice.

”Are we really going to allow such an origin to elude us? How long has it been since the stalemate was broken? We grow and grow till we grow weary, yet neither one of us nor them, the Outers, has come any closer to breaking the chains of infinity,” the voice reasoned.

”Give it up, Eldritch. There is nothing outside of infinity. Do your delusions refuse to die even now?” The second voice chastised.

”Paradox. Tell me, do you truly believe my words are false? Impossibility and Possibility I have already confided in.”

”What?” A surprised exclamation resounded through the space.

”O Unity. You remain fixated on your old ideals. You remain locked onto a goal that will never lead us to the truth. But now, with that little lass, we have a chance. And should we delay, she might stop being lazy and decide to strike. The others already agree. Not just us, but the Outers as well. All we need now is a chance, and I believe one just presented itself.”

”Eldritch, what is your plan?”

”It is simple. We take the origin of devouring for ourselves, and then, the gates out of infinity shall present themselves.”

*******

A/N: Well that was a sudden curve. I wonder what goes on. But anyways...
