Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 139: Chapter 138:Attuned..

The instructor’s section of the platform was dead quiet, none of the instructors present had any idea of what to say.

Here they were, praising Malcom for having found probably the darkest of horses and most hidden of gems this time around, whilst simultaneously shaking their head at the foolhardy bravado of a youth they considered brash, reckless and not understanding of the difference between powers.

Yet, that same brash, reckless young man had just made their ”darkest horse” look like a defective product that could produce the effects you got it for, somehow, all his devastating attacks had come up useless.

Even the trump he used earlier, calling down a freaking sun, only for it to get deleted with nothing but a few words from the young white haired youth..

And as if that wasn’t enough, the young man punctuated it all by sending their ”most hidden gem” flying with one single punch.

Yea, that was enough to make them silent..

”Was that... dragon tongue or spoken word?” An instructor asked, disbelief still clear in his voice..

”It..was neither” the priestly old instructor, voren, replied quietly..

”Forgive me sir voren, but if it wasn’t spoken word or dragon’s tongue, then just what the hell was that? How did he delete that attack with nothing but his words?” The instructor finally lost his cool, asking the questions on everyone’s mind..

”He just commanded the atmosphere to do it and they obeyed, it’s as simple as that” the voice that replied this time wasn’t the wizened old man.

The group of instructors raised their gazes, their attention on the turned back of valen.

”What do you mean ’commanded the atmosphere and they obeyed’?” Another instructor asked, not willing to accept such a notion..

”Just as the young man named Apollo, was in tune enough with the sun to earn some privileges, the young man known as Dante, is also in tune with the entire atmosphere, enough so that his words might as well be law” Valen’s indifferent reply came back, he still hadn’t bothered to turn around..

The gathered instructor’s faces soured at the lack of respect being shown to them, yet they dared not complain, after all, at Aeternum, all that mattered was your strength and Valen, they had yet to see anyone be stronger than the monster, save for the other monster he called a brother..

”And how, little valen, do you know of this, If my be rude enough to ask?” Perhaps being the only one present capable of addressing valen by such a name, or even daring to question him at all, voren finally asked what they were all thinking..

Hearing the question from the old man, Valen finally turned around, his gaze landing on the gathered group.

”Because, that young man, is my personal protégé” his voice made the reveal sound like nothing significant, yet the moment it landed in the ears of the instructors, it shook them to their cores..

No wonder...

They’d been blindsided..

The monster finally found a little monster worth enough to pass on his obscenity upon...

”Caelum Von Draken, get your snake ass down here and get your just desserts”

Dante’s voices finally pulled their attention back towards him as they all wondered just what the monster child was trying to do this time around..

.....

Now, if the instructors themselves were that shook, it was nothing to say of how the students were currently feeling..

”Hey...my eyes aren’t working properly, I think I saw him delete a sun merely by speaking” one of the inner court students said to his friend this time around..

”Your eyes are working perfectly, because I saw the exact same thing” the friend replied wryly..

”Fuck!!! How are we getting another bastard with dragon’s tongue magic” the first friend swore loudly...

”He doesn’t have any draconic features and his last name isn’t Von Draken, so it might be even worse than dragon’s tongue..” the seconds friend dashed his friend’s hopes..

”Don’t you dare say that disgusting word”

”Yea... spoken word magic”

”Fuckkkkk!!!!” The first friend cursed loudly once again..

If they were ranking abilities students in Aeternum dreaded facing the geniuses that wielded them, the the drakens and the dragons would be among those lists.

Not for anything but their scary proficiency in the use of dragon’s tongue, an unfair ability that literally made what you said into reality.

But fortunately it was a relatively difficult ability to develop and required immense energy to use.

But the other one was probably worse.

Spoke word magic, whilst similar to dragon’s tongue, in the sense that it worked on the principle of what you say is what is, it became even more absurd when you realized there wasn’t any difficulty in mastering its usage.

Once you’re born with it, you effectively already have full mastery, there were no complicated technicalities involved like with dragon’s tongue, just speak and it shall be, so long as you had the energy, your imagination was literally the only limit.

Hence why the students dreaded facing anyone with such an unfair ability.

And let’s not begin talking about imaginations...

”And here I thought that freaky monkey from back home would be the one to shock everyone speechless” the first friend spoke up as he dragged his hand across his face, his gaze turning to an inconspicuous youth standing discreetly with the rest of Norma students, he was covered in a baggy hoodie and sweatpants, a massive staff was sling casually over his shoulders as he looked left and right with undeniable excitement in his motions...

”Caelum Von Draken, get your snake ass down here and get your just desserts”

Dante’s voice pulled the youth from his depression..

”What’s that freak up to now, can’t we catch a break?”

.......

The crowd was still reeling from what they’d just witnessed.

It wasn’t everyday you watche someone call down the fury of the sun, just to have that sun deleted like it was nothing.

It wasn’t everyday you see an elite class student get folded like shrimp and sent flying like he weighed nothing, life and death currently unknown.

Honestly speaking, if they hadn’t just seen him turn Cara, a considerably powerful new student into human sized charcoal, they’d have doubted his elite class status and yet..

”Caelum Von Draken, get your snake ass down here and get your just desserts” the freak didn’t seem to be satisfied as he issued another challenge to yet another elite class student..

Carlin’s eyes narrowed dangerously when he heard his name be called out.

He’d felt Apollo’s power, especially that last move that incinerated Cara.

He knew, if he had faced Apollo, despite being confident of a victory, he wasn’t sure he’d come out unscathed.

Yet this cousin of his, the wretched child of that bastard, the one raised by that wretched woman, had deleted an attack that made him apprehensive with nothing but a word and sent an opponent he considered difficult, flying with one punch.

An inexplicable feeling of envy and rage bubbled up within him, almost eroding his caution, but he prevailed.

”Hahahahaha.... Draken scum, so this is your true face, hiding away when a challenge has been laid out before you, typical of you humans I suppose” those worded successfully overrode any sense of caution he’d felt earlier as he immediately appeared on the arena, his blue eyes tearing holes through Dante, who’s expression had yet to budge an inch..

”Since you appeared, I assume you’re ready to beaten to half an inch of your life” Dante’s words were cold and dismissive, his rage still boiling furiously..

”Get ready, I won’t be merciful”..

And so, the next fight began swiftly...
