Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 134: Chapter 133:Cara vs Apollo (1)

Seeing as the remaining candidates had suddenly turned quiet, I decided to finally make my move, that arrogant little son of a snake, it was time I got a little payback from my so called family.

So, steadying myself, I moved or rather tried to..

”Hey... you said you’d let me do it...” Cara’s pouting face appeared before me..

”Wha..what?” I was bewildered..

”You said you’d let me handle that Apollo guy” she said once again, arms crossed over her chest..

”Oh..” I exclaimed softly, realizing her worries, she seemed to have thought I was going after that royal pain..

”No, he’s not the one I’m about to put down” I reassured her, it didn’t work..

”Nuh uh.. I can’t trust you enough not to blow up” she shook her finger in my face..

”Hey.. I said I trusted you, why can’t you just trust me this time?”

”Because I know how volatile you can get” she placed a kiss on my lips as she finally walked ahead.

Before I could get out of her spell, it was already too late, all that I could see was her delicious rear swaying in that seductive rythm she knew I loved..

The sound of her soft footsteps woke up the other candidates as their attention focused on her.

I could see the eyes of the men and even some women light up like Christmas..

All of them instantly finding themselves in my ”to-do” list..

The celestial youth currently waiting on the arena had his eyes light up in approval too, I had half a mind to go up there and pull out those filthy things, yet before he could begin posturing.

”Apollo Calder, I don’t believe you’re using that elite status for anything right? Why not give it to this young lady, fufufufu...”

........

Apollo who was currently standing with the rest of the elite class with his eyes closed, opened them softly..

”Hehe.. it seems the plebeian from that backwater domain is finally getting called out” a young man snickered scornfully..

He had crimson red hair that crackled with smoking embers, his eyes were red with a golden slit as pupils, his defining features were the four draconic horns that curled majestically from his temples and the red, scaly tail that grew out from behind him, swaying gently..

”Heh.. a studpid lizard thinks he has the qualifications to mock others” another voice chimed in, this one belonging to a blue haired youth..

”Filthy Draken, do you dare face me? I’ll love to finally get a taste of what ”genius” Draken tastes like, the last one didn’t quite do it” the red haired draconic youth smirked..

”Filthy lizard!! I dare you to say that again!!” Caelum instantly lost it..

Apollo ignored the squabbling youngsters as he made his way toward the arena, his path crossing with the retreating celestial, neither of them acknowledging the other, it was clear, despite being selected as part of the elite class, he wasn’t held in any regard among them..

.......

”So you indeed saw through this folly of yours” the moment the arrogant youth stepped foot in the arena, his first words were, as expected, steeped in superiority, they made me want to gag, I myself wasn’t even this self centered..

(A/N: I’m sorry brother, what did you say?)

”Fufufu... if I didn’t do this, you’d still have delusions about me, I can’t have that, not with the way D gets when he’s jealous, you’ll be causing me trouble you see..” Cara’s beautiful voice replied..

I couldn’t help wondering what she was talking about, I wasn’t the type to get jealous, neither was I one of those protagonists that got set off at the mere sight of others looking at his women, I wasn’t some yandere lover, so what did she mean by the way I got when I’m jealous?

(A/N: again, brother, what in sheisty are you saying????)

Apollo looked up, our gazes meeting once more..

”I see, I didn’t take you for the type to give yourself up for mere looks, but I guess I thought too highly of you” now that was just being bitter..

After seeing me throw that demon around like a rag doll, no matter how trash he was, he was still a student of Aeternum.

After seeing me do all that to him, calling me ”just a pretty face” was just being bitter and shows clearly how jealous they were, now I’m not saying I wasn’t a pretty face, I mean look at me, I was beyond divinely handsome, I could put ten Adonis combined to shame, so saying I was a ”pretty face” was already insulting enough, but that’s besides the point..

(A/N: and brother said he wasn’t full of himself, yea fam, keep dreaming)...

”Fufufu... jealousy doesn’t look good on you” Cara laughed softly..

”That’s my girl”

”Alright, enough of this charade, you’ve wasted enough of everyone’s time, it’s time you get off my stage” Apollo said casually, the air around him heating up violently, a radiant golden glow surrounding him...

His eyes shone as he pointed a finger at Cara.

”Sun Spear”.

A concentrated beam of solar energy shot straight at Cara, piercing her chest, searing red vein-like lines running along her body from the. Pierced area, the beam’s momentum didn’t falter as it continued its path, going on to pierce through the arena’s floor, disappearing from everyone’s line of sight..

Cara’s expression was frozen in shock and Terror as her widened eyes stared into Apollo’s golden ones..

”Worry not, you’ll survive, but I don’t believe you’ll be able to access your full powers anymore, that was pure solar energy that should have burnt through all your blood essence, even if you recover, your bloodline will be forever damaged” saying so, Apollo turned around, his cold voice drifting over, ”consider us even from now on”..

My eyes were wide in absolute shock and dread..

My Cara.. that bastard had actually dared to harm her..

I knew she couldn’t have been dead, valen’s rules forbade it, but the thought that my baby girl might end up crippled or worse sent a jolt of searing rage through my systems, my feet were already moving, getting ready to tear this arrogant piece of trash limb from limb.

”Screw those goddamn rules”..

Yet before I could make any brash movements...

Swooooshhh!

Schlick!!!!

The sound of the air tearing apart rang out, followed swiftly by the unmistakable sound of tearing flesh..

I looked up, my red eyes catching sight of a surprising sight..

Apollo who had already turned around like some victorious villain, was currently sporting a gigantic hole through his chest.

The wound had frozen over, turning the spot such a deathly blue it was almost purple...

The young man turned stiffly, an audible creaking sounding from the movement..

Right behind him, ”Cara” broke into tiny pieces of ice that scattered all over the arena, only for them to regroup together once more, Cara’s beautiful figure reappearing, unblemished, with not so much as a scratch on her delicate skin..

”Tut tut tut... now, you’re going to hurt my feelings with words like those, here I thought you actually cared... fufufufufu”.....
