Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 109: Chapter 108:Congratulations...

A/N: I’ve always had an issue with my prologue, so I went back and revised it, be sure to check out the revised prologue, there might be some key points there that’ll be necessary for future progressions...

The events after the dean’s departure were easy to surmise..

The tests were scheduled to continue as planned, the second phase scheduled to begin once the qualified candidates had gotten a bit of down time...

During their rest, they’d been given the details of the next phase, although the arenas that had risen within the hall had already painted a clear image of just what it was meant to be..

The moment the second phase was confirmed to be a one on one battle, a wave of uncomfortable silence swept through the hall, I could feel the collective gazes of every single participant in the hall..

I turned around, wondering if there was something behind me that was demanding such attention, seeing nothing I got back to my warm up, suddenly excited to beat up more people...

”The candidates Dante Draven, Blaze Calder and Soleil Calder receive automatic qualifications”..

Valen’s voice cut short my excited warmup..

”What? Why?” I was stumped, why would you sit me out of the fun part?

”Are there any objections?” Valen didn’t even bother acknowledging my question with an answer...

I could hear a collective sigh of relief from the audience, their replies a resounding NO!..

”Humph...pussies”..

”Hehehe...you broke them” Cara’s soft laughter sounded from behind me..

”They’re just weak pussies, can’t take a proper beating” I snorted, upset that I couldn’t lay a proper beat down on more people...

Obviously the rest of the second phase was as exciting as watching paint dry, the battles were dragged out, with no heavy attacks, no life threatening drama, everyone seemed to be on the same levels with merely a few minute differences, although there were some pretty interesting moments..

Like that one black haired guy I saw within the secret realm, the one surrounded by undead, his battles didn’t last more than a few seconds..

The shadows of his opponents seemed to turn against them, ensnaring them, leaving them as nothing but helpless lamps for the slaughter.

Seems there was more to him than just being a necromancer..

I couldn’t help wondering what it’d feel like fighting someone like that, what it’d feel like fighting against my own shadow...

The second interesting bit was, of course, Cara’s, her fights were even shorter than the black haired youth’s...

All her opponents, without exception, were turned into frozen popsicles with little effort from her, she looked so fucking hot I had trouble controlling myself, it didn’t help that she kept deliberately swaying that ass like the temptress that she was...

And so, it was without any other surprises that the tests concluded, the qualified 200 finally assembled successfully...

”Congratulations” a supervisor stepped forward, his voice warm as he congratulated us..

”You have done well, to have surpassed the odds and arrived at this stage is a point what celebrating, you can be proud of yourselves, Aeternum surely is proud to have promising seedlings like yourselves”..

The candidates around me stood straighter, chests puffed out, quiet pride radiating off of them..

Even the two aloof princes seemed to have gained a lot from that recognition.

My own gaze was settled on that robotic old man, his placid gaze still looked at us like we were ants not yet clear on the true face of the world..

”Stuck up old coot” his gaze turned towards me..

”Shit!!” I moved my eyes immediately, who knew if that old man had actually heard me, with what I’ve seen, that old dude seemed insanely powerful..

”Don’t worry, dear disciple... this stuck up old coot will be sure to take care of you”...

Shit.. shit...shit... this bastard has mind reading powers(he didn’t, bro is just way too obvious)..

A violent shiver ran up my spine, I turned, the old man’s expression had barely moved, yet I could still catch the traces of a sinister smile culling up his lips..

”Fuck me..” seems my life wasn’t going to be all rainbows and sunshine and who the fuck agreed to being this bastard’s disciple..

”A vessel conveying all the participants from all five domains within the human continent shall be arriving within the week, following the completion of the tests on the other sites, you’re adviced to finish up whatever you have left and be prepared for its arrival”saying this, the supervisor pulled out tokens from his storage device as he waved his hand and they flew toward us, landing gently on each candidate’s hand, ”these are your identification tokens, once the vessel arrives, you shall be scanned, all those without this token shall not be allowed on board, so please, keep them safe” the man concluded..

I looked at the trinket in my hand, it was dark with intricate golden carvings, spots of golden lights flickered intermittently like stars within the starry skies..

”Neat..”

”Now, I don’t think I have to say this, but i will just for clarity sake” the supervisor’s voice sharpened, his aura pressing down on the hall..

”Everyone here as of now, is officially a student of my Aeternum academy, should any of them encounter anything untoward, before their official admission into the academy, you can be rest assured that my Aeternum will Do all it can to bring whoever it was that dared lay a hand on one of ours to justice” his gaze inevitably drifted toward the red faced emperor that hadn’t stopped shooting me death glares..

The message was clear, no touching the students until they’ve been inducted properly..

Yes, Aeternum was a bloody battlefield, but until the students were officially introduced to this battlefield where they’ll be left to face the true face of the world, you aren’t allowed to touch them..

Did it sound contradictory? Maybe, but what power ever gave a fuck about the state of things..

Now, having received such a clear signal, far be it from me to not rub salt within this unfortunate man’s wounds, so...

”Kyaaa...umph....” My hands found their way round Cara’s slim waist, pulling her flush against my body, eliciting a yelp of surprise that was quickly silenced by a kiss..

Her body melted into mine as the kiss lasted a long minute, effectively feeding everyone a proper serving of dog food..

The moment I released her, I looked towards the emperor and smirked, the man’s face looked just about to explode..

I had no doubt the man had already come up with a hundred ways to kill me by now, seems I was getting more infuriating by the day..

”Damn, hopefully I don’t become an arrogant young master..” i muttered worriedly..

”Heh, who am I kidding, I’m already an insufferable bastard, hahahaha...” Cara’s gentle punch merely elicited more laughter from me...

”Alright then, you’re all dismissed, be sure to gather back here by them time the vessel arrives, if you miss it,Then you’ll have to find another way to make it to the central continent yourself..” following that, the supervisor retreated..

And with that, the Aeternum academy trials the author couldn’t keep shut about finally came to a close..

Did I have fun? For the most parts, like trolling an ancient tower, yes..

Now does that in anyway change my opinion of the author? Absolutely not..

That fucker is still a shit head and I still plan on strangling him..

(A/N: dude, just shut up, please.....)

A/N: the tests are finally over.. well maybe not quite, but he’s finally getting into Aeternum, I felt I underdid this test arc, but hey, I’ll try to get better at this writing thing...
