Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

”Ree.” (Die!)

Wei’en stood motionless, sizing it up. Aside from its eyes and the scales covering its body, it was no different from an ordinary Extraordinary.

”Have you ever seen a Mutated Extraordinary like this before?”

Clelia poked her head out from a nearby shadow. ”I’ve seen plenty of Mutated Extraordinaries, but it’s rare to see one with its mind corrupted to this extent.”

”The vast majority of Extraordinaries who use corrupting traits at least retain their own minds to differentiate themselves from true mutations. Just like you... you’re something like a Mutated Mage.”

’Me? A Mutated Mage?’

Wei’en shot her a glare. She was clearly talking about the state he was in back at Caster.

”Since you’re having a hard time dealing with it, go back and join Velen and the others for now.”

”What about you?” Clelia pouted. She had thought she’d found something interesting, but who would have thought it would have a trait that nullified her puppets? It was even more annoying than when Wei’en figured out her fake body ability... ’This is no fun at all.’

”I’m going to take a look. I’ll be quick.”

”Alright then. I’ll go gather some intel elsewhere and see what’s so special about this island~”

With that, Clelia sank into the shadows again and vanished.

After she left, Wei’en watched thoughtfully as the Eyeless Monster struggled incessantly, unable to break free from the withered arm’s grasp.

’A Mutated Extraordinary, formed after being blinded by killing intent... Could it be related to those places that contain killing intent?’

”ROAR—”

”How grating.”

However, Wei’en made no further moves. He simply waited quietly, watching to see if any other Mutated Extraordinaries similar to the Eyeless Monster would appear.

But...

[Adeluto Watson has triggered the Death Trait - Instant Kill. Deceased... Special Reward: Survival Points +10, Resilience Level +1.]

[A devourable Origin has been discovered. Use Soul-Devouring Magic?]

”Didn’t even last ten seconds. But...”

’Is no one really coming?’

There was nothing within the range of Wei’en’s spiritual perception... This contradicted his earlier speculation.

’Could the people who massacred the Keman tribe have already left the island?’

’Or are they all hiding within Isolation Arrays that I can’t perceive?’

Wei’en pondered for a few seconds, then had his ghosts devour the Mutated Extraordinary, which had completely turned into an old, withered corpse.

[You have used Soul-Devouring Magic to devour the Origin of Adeluto Watson. Your Origin has been enhanced. Evaluation: Tastes like a pile of... Special Reward: Origin +2.]

’My Origin increased by 2?’

”That can’t be right. How could it increase by so much?”

Wei’en raised an eyebrow. He remembered that when he devoured the Commander-level Abyssal Creature, the Thorn Demon, the Origin reward was also +2.

But according to the system panel’s usual bullshit, the Origin reward from devouring creatures should have decreased after he advanced to Wizard.

’Or perhaps... before he became a Mutated Extraordinary, he was a Wizard from the Ghost Soul School?’

’Tsk, another reason to investigate this island!’

With this thought, Wei’en blinked away, instantly reappearing on the summit of a small hill.

”This is...”

A building shaped like a Pyramid stood before him, thirty meters tall, with its length and width matching its height.

But it wasn’t made of brick and stone. Its entire body had a metallic sheen and no visible seams, as if it had been cast in one piece from molten metal poured into a mold.

”Hmm, do we have a guest?”

Just then, a raspy voice rang out.

Wei’en whipped his head around to look behind him, his gaze hardening.

’A mummy?!’
