Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

”Mr. Leonard,” Wei’en said, his expression growing calmer as his suspicions were confirmed. ”Please tell me what I must do—for Tina, the one beside me, and myself to be completely free of her.”

”You... you shouldn’t know these things...”

”But the fact is, I already do, don’t I?”

’He already knows?’

’Why?’

The clown stared at him blankly, a trace of confusion the only thing visible on his mask. ’In the Divine Prohibition Era, why would someone know her name, her history?’

’This is impossible! It shouldn’t be!’

”Can you tell me, Mr. Leonard?”

The clown didn’t speak, staring at him without blinking, as if trying to see through to his heart and find the source of his own confusion.

The entire Calamity World fell silent for a long, long time.

”The Calamity Demon Eye is the mark of the Calamity World. To master the authority of Calamity—that is her destiny!” The clown seemed to snap back to his senses, a wide grin spreading across his lips.

’This is a matter of Calamity, a struggle for the world’s origin. What does it have to do with him, Arnold Lilith Leonard?’

’Nothing at all!’

’Her? Is he talking about the white-haired girl?’

Wei’en glanced at the still-expressionless Tina and asked softly, ”Last time, you said that if she could take another step forward, she would gain the upper hand?”

”That’s right!” The clown giggled and nodded. ”As long as Little White Fur takes one more step, completely masters this Calamity World, and becomes the incarnation of Calamity...”

”At that point, the Lady of Calamity will be her—Tina Klosterman!”

”How does she do that?”

”By completely mastering this Calamity World while the madwoman is asleep, of course.”

Wei’en looked at him calmly. ”How does she do that?”

”...” The clown shot him a glare. ”Devour, control, assimilate, and finally, become Calamity!”

’Devour and assimilate?’

”So, does Tina have to stay here?”

”Of course not. She must witness and experience all darkness and malice, create all calamities, only then will it be possible for her to obtain that authority.”

’Create?’

’Tina?’

Wei’en frowned. ’With Tina’s personality, she couldn’t possibly do that, right?’

”So she must do it? Otherwise, she might be devoured by that Tina Lilith Leonard?”

”Something like that.” The clown’s expression returned to calm. ”But there is one point I must correct. Tina, the one from the Third Era, the one you call my sister, Tina Lilith Leonard, was born in December of year 89 of the Third Era.”

”Oh?”

”Of course, she was also the only one not acknowledged by Lilith, not accepted by Turing, and not blessed by the True God Churches.”

’Not acknowledged?!’

Wei’en’s body shook. He recalled the time the clown lost control, and the Illusion Realm he had entered—”Brother, I’m better now. I’m completely better. Can you please tell Mother for me?”

”The ’brother’ she spoke of... was that you?”

”Brother?” Through the mask, the clown’s eyes widened slightly. He giggled. ”Impossible. She would never admit that, and she’s certainly not the type to casually use a term like ’brother’.”

”Is that so?”

”Once you see what she’s really like, you won’t think so anymore... The source of all chaos and death, what do you think she is?”

’What is she?’

Wei’en reached out and stroked Tina’s head. ’Does it matter what she is?’

He just wanted Tina to have a better life, not like this—where everything but her smile seemed to be a burden forced upon her by the world.

”I understand...”

”Young Mr. Wizard,” the clown said casually, ”I must remind you, that is not something you can participate in. There are only two things you should do: find Lilith, and within illusion, sketch...”

’Sketch?’

”What?”

”Within illusion...” The clown’s words were as if muted, not a single sound escaping.

Even his triangular eyes seemed to be veiled by a strange emotion, making them impossible to read clearly.

Wei’en shot him a puzzled glance. ’Was there nothing after ”within illusion”?’

”Within illusion—” The clown also realized his voice wasn’t carrying and said in frustration, ”Forget it, damn it!”

’Hmm?’

After a moment’s thought, Wei’en shook his head. ”Mr. Leonard, can I trouble you to teach Tina how to use the Calamity Origin?”

”You want me to teach her?” The clown was taken aback.

”Yes. Tina can’t control that power yet, and I believe you’re the only one who can help her right now...”

”Are you sure?” The clown stared at him, dumbfounded. ”I feel I should remind you, there are many Extraordinaries who have grasped a sliver of Calamity’s authority, but very few can master it all at once! Even for her, it will still be incredibly difficult!”

”I’m sure!”

Wei’en nodded firmly. Since it was the mark of the Calamity World, no matter how hard he tried, he probably could never reach Tina’s level within this world.

The ideal outcome was for Tina to control this world, and in turn, devour the lady from the Third Era...

Only then would he and Tina no longer be under threat.

”Is that so?” The clown gave him a strange look, then fell silent for a few seconds before turning to Tina with a smile. ”I agree.”

”Then thank you very much, Mr. Leonard.”

”It just so happens that I’d also like to see the madwoman’s disappointed, even despairing, expression. I believe that moment will be truly wonderful.”

’Wonderful...’

Wei’en smiled. ”Tina, let him go.”

”Tina listens to you.” The white-haired girl seemed to have no opinion on the conversation that had just taken place, removing the black threads from the clown’s body with a flick of her finger.

THUD!

The clown fell to the ground. He rubbed his head as he got up. ”Likewise, I hope your choice is the right one, heh heh heh...”

”Of course...”

With that, Wei’en pulled Tina’s hand. ”Exit the spirit vision.”

”Tina, disperse!”

In an instant, the clown, along with the Calamity World, slowly dissolved.

The last image left in Wei’en’s vision was the moment the clown broke into a wide, brilliant smile.

”Devour, assimilate, control... Tina, from now on, you’re going to be busy.”

’Of course, the same goes for me!’

Whether it was the Lady of Calamity, Ales who wanted the Calamity Origin, or the Judgment Knights from the Dawn Church chasing him from the Eastern Continent...

’Bring it on!’

At this thought, a brilliant smile once again spread across Wei’en’s face—

The whole world!
