Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

’Just a few more rounds, and I’ll trigger its death attribute!’

”ROAR—”

’Here it comes... huh?’

Hearing the sound, Wei’en thought the aberration was attacking again.

But the opposite was true. After that sound, the whirlpool next to the steamship actually began to slowly shrink, its suction weakening considerably.

’Did it run away?’

Wei’en didn’t dare to relax. His spiritual perception still covered the surrounding area, even extending deep beneath the sea’s surface to track the big guy’s movements.

Only after confirming that the tentacles had retracted and the aberration had dived into deeper waters did he let out a sigh of relief.

However, a question suddenly popped into his mind. ’Are aberrations afraid of death, too?’

”Captain, it’s starting up!” Ronan shouted from the cockpit.

”Get us out of here!”

Wei’en glanced at the pirates, who still looked panicked, and said coolly, ”The crisis is over. Tidy up the ship!”

”It’s over?”

”I...”

”Shut up! Didn’t you hear the captain? Get to it and clean up!”

Led by their respective squad leaders, the pirates began to inspect the ship, repair the damaged areas, and put away the items that had been tossed about.

Meanwhile, Wei’en remained behind the figurehead, watching the movement under the sea and occasionally shooting any monsters that charged toward them.

It wasn’t until the *Ronan* had traveled a great distance that he retracted his sniper rifle into the Mechanical Gate and let out a long breath. ’Looks like I can’t go deep into the sea anymore.’

He himself could handle it, but the crucial point was that the ship under his feet couldn’t withstand the abuse from those massive aberrations...

”Are we out of danger?” Clelia poked her head out of the cabin.

Wei’en nodded. ”How are things inside?”

”A few people have minor injuries. One unlucky guy is hurt more seriously, but he’s being taken care of.”

”Mm.”

”Aren’t you going to say something?” Clelia leaned against the cabin doorway. ”Since last night, you’ve been acting all mysterious, like you’re looking for something... You didn’t find some treasure, did you?”

”No treasure, but I’ve got a pile of aberrations. Want some?”

Her words reminded Wei’en that he had indeed brought something back from the sea.

With that thought, he took out the object that had registered an unusual reaction to his spiritual perception from his Space Ring.

”That’s... And you said you weren’t looking for treasure?!”

”Treasure?”

Wei’en was taken aback. He examined the object in his hand—a fist-sized crystal-like thing. Its surface was clear and sparkling, with several honeycomb-like holes.

”That’s the raw stone used to make equipment like Space Rings,” Clelia said, staring at the crystal. ”A single gram costs as much as five gold pounds!”

’Five gold pounds per gram?’

Wei’en weighed it in his hand. ’This piece is at least a kilogram, so that’s five thousand gold pounds?’

’I’m rich... ahem, but compared to my upcoming expenses, five thousand gold pounds doesn’t seem like that much, does it?’

”You don’t seem very happy,” Clelia said with a half-smile. ”I remember when I first met you, five gold pounds could make you happy for a long time...”

Wei’en shot her a look and put the raw stone away again. ”I’m happy. It’s much better to gain something than nothing at all.”

’Just now, I thought I was getting that thing that collects killing intent...’

’What a pity... I didn’t find that thing.’

’But on second thought, there are many Extraordinaries on the Cordo Sea stronger than me. If that thing were so easy to find, it would have been snatched up by someone else long ago.’

”Don’t be fooled by its price not being sky-high; it’s an exceptionally rare item. For a while, Menor was frantically contacting other sects to acquire more of it.”

”Menor?” Wei’en paused. ”Are you suggesting I should give this to him?”

”Of course not... I just think its uses might extend beyond making spatial equipment,” Clelia said with a charming smile. ”You can decide what to do with it. I’m going back to training the guards.”

With that, she turned and entered the cabin, leaving a somewhat dazed Wei’en behind.

’Not just for making spatial equipment...’

Wei’en recalled his previous encounter with Menor. ’Could it be that the crystal’s other use relates to Menor’s bizarre spatial abilities?’

’Mm, I’d better hold onto this raw stone for now.’

He was quite interested in Menor’s ability; it was practically an essential skill for home and travel.

...

...

After this incident, Wei’en stayed on the *Ronan* for a while longer to ensure everything was fine before returning to the theater with the boxes.

Although this reckless trip into the Deep Sea had caused some trouble, he had also gained a better understanding of the situation at sea.

The killing dream that only appears at night, the place that collects killing intent, the inability to casually use Extraordinary Power, the need to use the Corpse Explosion Skill as little as possible, and the abundance of aberrations in the sea...

From these known rules, he could deduce that sailing on the deep sea was far more dangerous than being in a city-state.

At least most city-states were protected by the Church, the Council, and the Noble Committee, maintaining a basic level of order.

’Well, except for the Caster City State a few days ago...’

’No wonder the pirates in the Basil District were so brazen. Anyone who faces a crisis from time to time would lose their reverence for the order within a city-state.’

Thinking of this, Wei’en sighed, greeted Tina and the others, and slipped into his workshop.

He planned to convert the corpses in the boxes into Undead Creatures. He wanted to see if the conversion could succeed without a source of origin or a soul.

If he succeeded, he might be able to get some information about the killing dream from them.

BUZZ BUZZ...

’The special communicator?’

Wei’en pushed open the workshop door and saw the golden patterns on the black trophy shimmering with light. ’Who could it be?’

He set the boxes aside, walked over, and pressed the gemstone, waiting for the image to appear on the other side.

After a moment, a figure slowly emerged from the light above the trophy.

’A skull for a head?’

When Wei’en saw the figure in the image, he asked in surprise, ”Dean Josue?”

”Good afternoon, Wizard Wei’en.”

”Good afternoon...”

Before he could finish, Dean Josue’s skull head suddenly lunged closer. The two red lights in his eye sockets flickered frantically, giving him an anxious look.

”Wizard Wei’en, I need your help!!”
