Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters

Flanta looked at them quizzically, not understanding what they meant.

”Flanta, after the gathering starts, if His Excellency Faceless doesn’t join the discussion, I hope you can bring him over. Sico and I have something important to discuss with him...”

”Of course, Lance Mage.”

After chatting for a little while longer, Flanta wiped away nonexistent sweat and turned to look for Wei’en.

”His Excellency Faceless, what are you...?”

”These should be Rune Patterns, right?”

Wei’en tried to touch a damaged part of the wall, but his ethereal body failed to make contact, passing weightlessly through the solid stone.

Flanta looked at the exposed Sarth metal and nodded. ”There are quite a few runic nodes inside this tower, but aside from the members of the Nightmare Sect, no one knows what Rune Arrays they form.”

”They have a way to observe these patterns?”

”So it is said, but the Nightmare Sect has never commented on the matter.”

Wei’en understood. He glanced at the dark figures behind the stone pillars. ”Is the gathering about to start?”

”Yes, His Excellency Faceless. One of the initiators of this gathering, Nana Mage of the Spiritual Mystery School, has arrived.”

”It looks like quite a few people have come?”

”A total of 23 Wizards are attending this time. A few haven’t been in the Nightmare Realm World recently, and with newly invited members like yourself, the total number is about the same as last time.”

’Twenty-three?’

Wei’en nodded, wondering which one of them was the Wizard from the Ghost Soul School.

Flanta glanced toward the high platform in the center of the floor. Seeing that many Wizards had already started to gather there, he said in a low voice, ”His Excellency Faceless, please follow me. The gathering is about to begin.”

”Mm.”

Wei’en followed him around the stone pillars and waited quietly beside the platform for the gathering to start.

During this time, the other Wizards all noticed the newcomer. What especially drew their attention was the number displayed on his forehead in the Gonzalez language—34. They all looked at him with friendly and kind eyes.

Well, at least that’s what Wei’en thought...

”What a shame. The Extraordinary who revealed the island without a red moon last time isn’t here. I was hoping to ask him for the island’s exact location...”

”What, you didn’t actually believe him, did you?”

”Even if such an island exists in the Divine Prohibition Era, it’s not something people like us can covet.”

”Just curious...”

’Divine Prohibition Era?’

’Is that the name of the current era?’

Wei’en pricked up his ears, silently collecting the free intelligence offered by the Wizards nearby. He was beginning to feel that the convenience of the Nightmare Realm World went far beyond simple trade.

’What’s even more interesting is the intel provided by Extraordinaries from different regions...’

Just then, a slender shadow walked onto the high platform and looked down upon the crowd. Beneath the hazy, ethereal shadow, her fair features were faintly visible.

’A female Wizard?’

’And a female Wizard whose Origin Power level is 47, at that.’

’It seems she’s the Wizard from the Spiritual Mystery School named Nana. I wonder which branch of the school she belongs to...’

Upon seeing her take the stage, the surrounding Wizards all fell silent, their gazes fixed on her.

”Not much time has passed since our last gathering. I’m very happy to see you all again.”

Nana didn’t waste words. After a simple opening, she got straight to the point. ”First, I invite Tren Mage of the Ghost Soul School to present the topics for this gathering.”

’A Wizard from the Ghost Soul School?’

Wei’en’s eyes lit up. ’Did I find one this easily?’

An even smaller shadow swept across the tower and came to a stop beside Nana Mage. A deep voice immediately followed.

”There are two topics for this gathering. The first is to share our school’s latest research report on resisting the Red Moon’s contamination. The second is to discuss the selection of contamination characteristics for Mutated Mages.”

”A research report on the Red Moon’s contamination? To think Tren Mage would share his latest findings! This gathering was worth coming to.”

”Yeah, it was worth interrupting my experiment for this. Thank you, Tren Mage...”

’A research report on the Red Moon’s contamination and selecting contamination characteristics for Mutated Mages?’

’Are the topics these Wizards discuss always this advanced?’

Wei’en couldn’t help but marvel internally. ’This is truly an eye-opening experience.’

On the high platform.

Nana Mage chuckled. ”The latest research on resisting the Red Moon’s contamination? Has your Ghost Soul School progressed so quickly?”

”I wouldn’t be sharing this if it weren’t to provide a concrete conclusion to the last discussion on the Red Moon’s contamination.”

Tren shot her a glance, then turned to the crowd and said coolly, ”Everyone, please be quiet. I don’t want Teacher Boras’s research findings to be disturbed by noise.”

Instantly, all the Wizards below the stage who had been in heated discussion obediently shut their mouths.

”After as many as one hundred and ten million experiments, it has been confirmed that the contaminating properties of the Red Moon pass directly through the body—that is, the flesh and bones—and pollute the soul directly.”

”Spiritual Power can weaken some of the Red Moon’s contaminating properties, but only to a very limited extent. Eventually, the contamination reaches one’s own Origin. And at this point...”

”Research has confirmed that 1 point of Origin Power can only resist the Red Moon’s contamination for 1 second.”

’One second?’

The Wizards below the stage were stunned for a moment, and then one of them immediately raised an objection.

”Excuse me, Tren Mage, is that time accurate? Why was my teacher, a Wizard with 55 points of Origin Power, contaminated instantly upon being exposed to the Red Moon?”

”I’ve seen it too! A Great Mage was contaminated and turned into a mutated type after just three seconds of exposure...”

”Quiet!”

Before Tren could get angry, Nana took a step forward and snapped, ”If you don’t accept these results, you are free to conduct your own research.”
