”A pig? Became a king of a king? And has been reigning for nine years already?” Even Kiliman was puzzled by this situation. He used his powerful observational skills to look carefully and found that apart from being extremely obese, this boar seemed to have no special characteristics.

”Yes, it has been in power for nine years, and barring any accidents, it will continue to be king for some more years. Then, the City States of Tiriel will once again convene the Kingdom City-State Meeting to elect the next pig as their king.” The Emperor’s voice was cold, yet with a faint hint of sarcasm: ”The Tiriel Kingdom is composed of numerous city-states that have never been completely unified. But since Tiriel has the name of a kingdom, through the joint election of the city-states, this boar was very honored to become Prince of Tiriel.”

”Heh heh heh~ Truly interesting.” Fugen sneered.

Sometimes, in the pursuit of democracy, no city-state is willing to choose an actual Prince of Tiriel, so they all elected a pig, which allowed them to maintain autonomy.

”What is truly noteworthy is the knight before the pig.” The Emperor looked at a knight before the throne.

This knight wore leopard-pattern brass armor, held a massive spiked mace in one hand and a long spear in the other, exuding a terrifying aura of dominance from head to toe.

”He is the self-proclaimed Prince of Miraglino, Bogil, the Grand Master of several Mercenary Corps, especially skilled in sieges.” The Emperor continued: ”Alright, let’s go.”

The Emperor, Fugen, Kiliman, and Kaur immediately vanished from the end of the street. When Bogil felt an extremely terrifying gaze, the street corner was already empty.

In the underground caves of Tiriel, a member of the Emperor’s Guard was already waiting. The Emperor reached out, opened and activated the Ancient Saint Altar, completely absorbing the power of the Ancient Saint once again.

Skipping the process, when the last trace of the Ancient Saint’s energy dissipated into the air, the Emperor frowned. The Master of Humans waved a big hand, releasing a golden arc from the Ancient Saint Altar, and a golden anvil appeared in front of several people.

”The creations and technology of the Ancient Saints are truly unbelievable, even after ten thousand years, they still create miracles.” The Emperor carefully sensed the knowledge left by the Ancient Saints: ”Soul forging? Becoming immortal Heavenly Warriors? Interesting.”

”A new technology, Your Majesty.” Great Sage of the Mechanical God Cult, Kaur, said to the Emperor.

”Yes, a Secret Technique, a technology that reforges tough souls in the immortal Divine Fire. This technology can repeatedly temper the soul of a mortal until it becomes a pure storm entity.” The Master of Humans repeatedly comprehended the knowledge and technology left by the Ancient Saints. He continued: ”The resilient soul will be repeatedly hammered on the ingot, and the powerful Divine Fire will reforge their soul into mighty warriors. Immortal energy and lightning are infused into their new bodies. These warriors, born in the storm, will become the strongest warriors of the Ancient Saints. Once they die in battle, they will not be truly dead; their soul will return to the anvil for repeated hammering and reforging.”

”So, is this a brand new technique for creating soldiers?” Kiliman was very interested, eagerly asking: ”Can it create soldiers, and also allow for recycling and reuse?”

”Things are never that easy, Kiliman.” Fugen immediately shook his head: ”There is no such perfect technology in the world. If there were, you could fulfill your wish with your offspring and all become governors.”

Kiliman felt a bit embarrassed by Fugen’s words, and he didn’t retort. Everyone was waiting for the Emperor’s answer.

Sure enough, the Emperor’s expression changed slightly: ”It’s not that easy. Even the toughest soul, when faced with such painful reforging and hammering repeatedly, will gradually collapse or go insane, or can no longer coalesce into form, or even... gradually become contaminated in battles with Chaos... This must have been the technology created by the Ancient Saints at the last moment, but they couldn’t find a sufficiently strong Divine Fire or excellent craftsmen...”

The new technology was entrusted by the Emperor to Kaur. The Great Sage of the Mechanical God Cult would attempt this technology cautiously.

Several people sat down in the rocky cave. The Emperor took out some coffee beans and then signaled to the Imperial Guard to brew coffee. After completely eliminating the Vampire army, the Emperor took two large jars of high-grade coffee beans from Angerong’s collection.

”Fugen, remember when you saw that Mercenary Leader named Bogil. Next is my plan.” The Emperor said solemnly, and Fugen listened very seriously: ”Yes, father.”

”In about three to five months, Tiriel will organize a Lustria Expeditionary Army. This expedition will head to Lustria in an attempt to establish new colonies.” The Imperial Guard took a notice and placed it in front of Fugen.

Fugen took the notice: ”Tiriel’s soldiers, it’s time to fight for the kingdom’s future!”

The illustration shows men and women, young and old, from farmers, artisans, mercenaries, and even women, all labeled with ”I want to contribute!”.

”They are all contributing, what about you?” A portrait of a mercenary leader was in the middle, leaning forward, pointing his index finger straight at the person in front of the illustration: ”Enlist and immediately gain Free People status! Any existing charges will get a chance for reevaluation!”

”Want to know more? Please turn to the back.”

”What is Lustria?”

”Lustria is a beautiful and fertile continent. It would take us several months or even longer by ship to reach there. With its dense forests, diverse flora and fauna, hot and rainy climate, the forests harbor endless treasures, minerals, precious hardwoods, and medicinal herbs. We have reason to believe that Lustria will be a fertile ground for us to explore and develop. Today’s frontier settlement will be tomorrow’s New Miragleno City State!”

A simple illustration showing human mercenaries fighting bravely, while some lizardmen and giant beasts fall amidst the long spear array and musket fire.

”Of course, during this process, we might ’happen to encounter’ some local natives, such as the fierce lizards or the towering giant beasts. But no worries, these creatures are insignificant in front of our weapons and muskets. The long spears and fire cannons made by the kingdom have proven capable of easily resolving all threats.”

”Exotic beast hides are very popular among the upper class! Enjoy exotic grilled lizard at night!”

”We journey, we prosper, we colonize, we triumph! Lads, what are you waiting for? Join the Lustria Expeditionary Army! The next one to be promoted to Baron could be you!”

”An interesting notice, somewhat similar to those recruitment flyers issued by the Military Affairs Department,” Kiliman summarized. ”So, Father, you intend to send Fugen to Lustria? To make contact with the remnants of those Ancient Saints?”

”Ancient Saints, the Creator, made the Shilan Demon Toad as their deputy, and also created the lizardmen to protect the Shilan Demon Toad,” the Emperor nodded. ”Fugen, Kiliman, do not underestimate these aides left by the Ancient Saints. The Demon Toad is an extremely formidable magical creature; they can divide continents, move mountains and fill seas, and with a thought, raise mountains thousands of meters high, altering the trajectory of planets. Their profound understanding of subspace magic is even beyond mine. Moreover, as the last assistants of the Ancient Saints, no one knows if the Ancient Saints left any special backdoors in these Demon Toads. Don’t forget, the Ancient Saints were the first and earliest race to achieve dominion over the entire universe.”

”Father, your meaning is... cooperation?” Kiliman suddenly felt somewhat absurd. The Master of Humans, who emphasized human supremacy and leadership, would actually try to seek cooperation?

”If you were a servant of a family, loyally guarding the master’s property after the family’s demise and fighting off invaders, when the wild dogs that once begged at the gates grow up and come seeking your cooperation, would you agree?” The Emperor’s face was like eternal black ice as he gazed at Kiliman.

”It’s hard to say, especially when we are eager to obtain what remains of the family’s master property. The Shilan cannot discern whether we are here to help them or to seize their master’s property.” Kiliman was thoughtful.

The Emperor nodded. ”Indeed, and we cannot take by force. These Shilan Demon Toads are incredibly powerful. I am unsure whether the Ancient Saints left anything for their servants, but I can foresee that if we attempt to seize by force, it will certainly lead to mutual destruction, the relics of the Ancient Saints will be destroyed, and the knowledge will be gained by Chaos, possibly leading to the destruction of the entire main material universe.”

”Fugen, the task falls to you. Join the Lustria Expeditionary Army and assume control of this human army. I need you to try and make contact with the Shilan, to see if these cold-blooded species are willing to have a discussion with us.” The Emperor turned his gaze to Fugen.

”Leave it to me.” Fugen’s expression turned stern. The proud Primarch of the Emperor’s Sons made a solemn vow in his heart to complete the mission perfectly.

The Great Sage Kaur of the Mechanical God Cult walked up from behind, using its mechanical arm to present a brand-new power sword. This giant sword was inscribed with dozens of ancient runes and spells, with a golden double-headed eagle on the hilt, emitting a sacred radiance in the air. The Emperor took the power sword, intoning the Holy Words, and the blessing of the Master of Humans was bestowed upon the blade.

”This will be your new sword, Fugen. I shall name it ’Glory’.” The golden power longsword, under the blessing of the Emperor, illuminated the entire underground cavern.

Fugen’s eyes grew moist as he carefully extended his hands to receive ”Glory”. The Primarch of the Emperor’s Sons let out a powerful battle cry in the most resolute voice: ”The Emperor’s Son, slay the father’s enemy!”

Echoes resonated throughout the underground cavern.

”The Emperor’s Son, slay the father’s enemy!”

”The Emperor’s Son, slay the father’s enemy!”

The Emperor’s face showed a slight change of emotion, as Kiliman wondered if his father remembered the Great Expedition from ten thousand years ago when the Horus Rebellion left them beyond redemption. Ten thousand years later, humanity only struggles to maintain a glimmer of hope.

”Alright, Kiliman, Great Sage, we should leave now.”

”This world is entrusted to you and Laine, Fugen.”

”Yes! Father!”
