The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 647: Chapter 261: A Boat Full of Clear Dreams Pressing Upon the Milky Way

”It wasn’t 2000, the total cost of a single business card added up to more than 3000 bucks, not to mention the one-time design fee of eight hundred thousand.”

Hearing Miao Ying’s question, Zhou Wang explained with a smile, while feeling a bit of nostalgia.

So mastering professional skills was indeed the real deal. The designer Xu Wenqian had found was just over 20, only had a little fame in the industry, reportedly hadn’t even finished college, but fooled around with PS and AD and made eight hundred thousand just like that...

Perhaps the time the designer actually spent on the design didn’t exceed one night.

The key was that the final effect received unanimous approval from Zhou Wang and Xu Wenqian, with only some minor alterations before it was finalized. The money was well-earned for having such exceptional skills.

In the future, I should send my son to learn design too... Oh, wait, I am God. My son can only take the path of inheriting the family fortune, so never mind.

Because it’s purely handmade, the production of these cards wasn’t large, but ten would be enough for now, after all, not everyone qualified to receive a business card from Zhou Wang.

...although he certainly didn’t care about the cost.

Letting Miao Ying keep a few cards on her for emergencies, Zhou Wang stretched lazily and called Yun Rou and Yun Lan to have a meal together.

...

Investors and the boss visiting the set meant there was definitely a good meal to be had today. Besides the delicacies prepared by the advanced chefs borrowed from the top restaurant, the roasted whole lamb had finally arrived at the courtyard of the hotel.

A total of 13 lambs... why 13? Besides perfectly averaging by the number of people, there was another dubious reason, the crew held the startup ceremony tomorrow, which happened to be on September 13...

”?”

Yes, Zhou Wang’s reaction was just like everyone’s else, utterly clueless as to what this had anything to do with anything.

But people in the film industry seemed accustomed to believing in these things, especially those in Hong Kong Island.

In fact, the common startup ceremony in the crew now hailed from the Hong Kong Island film circle, signifying smooth sailing and abundant wealth.

Investor Zhou Wang, boss Ma Yuan, executive producer, assistant director, and a few main supporting actors sat at the same table, highlighting Zhou Wang’s status from the seating arrangement—

Mainly reflected by Shen Yutong and another actress playing the fourth female role, who, apart from Xia Xiwei, were the best-looking girls, sitting on Zhou Wang’s left and right, respectively, enhancing the ambience of having beauties on both sides.

The fourth female role’s looks were slightly inferior to Shen Yutong’s, and her figure was average, falling into the category of looking alright alone but getting overshadowed when compared to others, yet she was energetic and spoke well, and didn’t mind occasional physical contact with Zhou Wang, so his impression of her wasn’t bad—

She was generous!

It was during Shen Yutong’s seat next to Zhou Wang that the attitudes of Ma Yuan and a few actors gradually clicked, realizing Shen Yutong had Zhou Wang backing her.

What a life!

Yang Hongni, who had weathered through the entertainment industry for over a decade, couldn’t help sighing. Young and rich, meeting such a benefactor, anyone would wake up laughing from their dreams, right?

After a few drinks, Ma Yuan, who sat next to the fourth female role, gave her a pat, and she knowingly gave up her seat.

Ma Yuan, holding a wine glass, scooted in, taking a sip with Zhou Wang first, then smiled at Shen Yutong and said, ”I remember Yutong hasn’t signed with an agency yet, right? How about considering our Daxia Film and Television?”

As soon as this topic arose, Shen Yutong immediately looked at Zhou Wang, the meaning clear in her eyes... she would follow his lead.

Zhou Wang pondered for a moment, then smiled, ”Can Mr. Ma loosen the contract restrictions a bit?”

Regarding the signing matter Ma Yuan brought up, Zhou Wang had initially intended to help Shen Yutong resolve it.

Having decided on the entertainment industry path, signing with an agency was inevitable. Originally, Zhou Wang planned for Shen Yutong to sign with Qingguo Entertainment.

Qingguo Entertainment, the parent company of DJ Jiang Mubai’s Miaomiao Music, controlled by Zhang Shihao’s younger brother, somewhat akin to being family, made things feel more convenient for Zhou Wang.

But after today’s events, Zhou Wang’s relationship with Ma Yuan had actually grown closer, narrowing the gap, and more importantly, Zhou Wang learned the true background of Daxia Film and Television...

Having Shen Yutong sign with Daxia Film and Television also seemed like a good option, yet he still needed to negotiate for the right terms.

Even though Zhou Wang wasn’t familiar with the film industry, he knew for sure that newcomer contracts were harsh, no matter the company. If Old Ma couldn’t offer favorable terms, there was no need for Shen Yutong to be at a disadvantage.

Amongst smart individuals conversing, Ma Yuan naturally understood Zhou Wang’s intention, and he laughed heartily, ”Rest assured, brother, since I brought it up, it must be the most lenient agency contract. Of course, remuneration won’t reach top-tier actor standards, but in other aspects, I guarantee your satisfaction!”

Upon hearing Ma Yuan putting it this way, the fourth female role sitting aside, alongside several other male supporting actors at the table, including Chen He, immediately looked at Shen Yutong with envy.

Being at the top in the entertainment circle was undeniably glamorous, even being able to earn in one day what typical people might not earn in a lifetime.
