The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 638: Chapter 258 Small Benefits

The strange silence lasted for about ten seconds. Although Ma Yuan was a bit puzzled, he quickly cleared his throat and brought everyone’s attention back.

”The new director is someone you all are familiar with, Director Xu’s prized student, Director Huang Yuming. Although the director has been temporarily changed, tomorrow’s opening ceremony will still proceed as planned. I hope everyone will coordinate well with the new director’s work...”

After a few words to set the scene and getting everyone’s response, Ma Yuan then turned with a smile,

”Next, I want to introduce one of today’s visiting representatives from the investment side!”

Meeting Ma Yuan’s gaze, Zhou Wang smiled knowingly and took two steps forward.

At this moment, there was some commotion on the scene, especially among the young girls in the makeup and costume department, who couldn’t help but squeal.

The attention that Chen He had just grabbed was gradually shifted to Zhou Wang.

”Some of you here may already know him. He is... a shareholder of Wuyou Media, the current supervisor, the youngest billionaire in Yunan Province, and possibly the youngest in the country, Mr. Zhou, Zhou Wang!”

Listening to the titles Ma Yuan called out for him, Zhou Wang was slightly taken aback.

Being the youngest billionaire in Yunan Province was true on the surface, as he couldn’t find anyone younger in that tier.

But if you expanded this scope across the entire Huaxia, it was hard to say. At least Zhou Wang couldn’t be sure...

After all, with a population of 1.4 billion in Huaxia, there are plenty of hidden talents, and it’s hard to say if there’s someone even more outstanding hidden in the shadows.

However, no matter what, since Ma Yuan already put out such a claim, Zhou Wang naturally couldn’t deny it at this point, so he just smiled and took the microphone handed to him by Ma Yuan,

”Hello, cultural workers from the ’Heavenly Journey’ crew, I’m Zhou Wang.”

Loud applause and cheers broke out, mixed with a shout from a male voice.

”Mr. Zhou, thank you for the Black Monkey activation code you gave away!”

”Oh, it seems there’s a fan of mine here?”

Zhou Wang paused for a moment, surprised. In his last video, he gave away over ten thousand game activation codes in total, but the winners were scattered all over Huaxia, so he didn’t expect to find one here.

Of course, it was also possible the guy just shouted to get attention...

Zhou Wang’s surprised response caused laughter among those in the know, but more people looked slightly confused, whispering to ask their companions about it.

Upon learning that Zhou Wang’s posted short video even included a free giveaway, some people showed interest, while others who didn’t play games weren’t much moved.

They were mostly surprised Zhou Wang gave away millions in one video, without promoting any ads or selling goods live, leaving them puzzled about the logic of spending money this way...

Of course, there were also those who questioned his motives, but they wouldn’t show it at this time.

”Mr. Zhou, will there be more giveaways afterward?”

Perhaps seeing Zhou Wang’s friendly attitude, a woman dressed rather glamorously like a makeup artist dared to shout.

”There will be. In fact, barring any surprises, my next video will include one.”

Zhou Wang nodded with a smile without much hesitation.

”Mr. Zhou, what are you giving away this time?”

Seeing Zhou Wang looking her way, the woman appeared a bit shy but was mostly excited and curious, so she asked again.

Zhou Wang pondered for a moment, then said, ”It seems like there’s no need for secrecy. My current idea is to continue giving away things that most people can use, like... phones.”

Upon hearing the word ”phones,” most people were initially stunned, with the woman who asked the question being the first to realize something. She eagerly inquired,

”Mr. Zhou, are you talking about the newly launched iPhone 16?”

Whoa?

Most people were surprised; no way...

But Zhou Wang immediately nodded straightforwardly, smiling as he said, ”If I’m giving away something, it can’t be too shabby. Yes, it’s the iPhone 16...”

Hearing Zhou Wang’s acknowledgment, everyone became excited, and there was a chorus of ”Wow” at that moment.

It wasn’t that most people there couldn’t afford it, but at least for most, spending six thousand to replace a phone was something to consider carefully.

If there was a chance to get one for free, who wouldn’t want that?

The income for the ordinary crew members wasn’t very high, slightly better than the average wage earners, maybe not even as good if there were no gigs.

”Mr. Zhou, how many phones are you giving away?”

”That’s not certain yet, you’ll all find out then, but the money I’m spending shouldn’t be less than last time.”

Zhou Wang just smiled.

”Mr. Zhou, is there really no threshold for this giveaway?”

An older crew member couldn’t help but ask.

”No, just follow my account...”

Before Zhou Wang finished speaking, he saw many crew members taking out their phones, intently searching for his account, even those secondary actors.

Zhou Wang was a bit helpless; the speech he had prepared hadn’t even been used, and things seemed to have gone off track.

But it wasn’t exactly a bad thing, after all. Gains were gains, and unexpectedly gaining a hundred new followers wasn’t bad, plus Zhou Wang foresaw the potential publicity effect in it...

The first video had a natural traffic boost, and with the help of many internet celebrities, Zhou Wang gained 800,000 followers overnight.
