The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 623: Chapter 253: The Affairs of the Crew_2

”Sis, have you been thinking about Yangyang again?”

”I...”

Shen Yurou snapped back to reality, opened her mouth, and mumbled, ”I don’t even know, I just can’t stop worrying... Mom calls me every day, saying Yangyang cries often, saying how hard it is for her with us not around...”

”Sis, you can’t believe all that, don’t you know what Mom’s like?”

Shen Yutong replied coldly, ”I bet those words aren’t even hers. It’s probably Liu Chao forcing her to say them to trick you into going back!”

”But, Yutong... I can’t just keep avoiding this, Yangyang is still so young, I have to go back at some point.”

Shen Yurou said with a bitter smile.

”Sis, if you go back now, who knows what Liu Chao might do to you. Like I said, unless you can divorce him, I’m not letting you go back!”

Shen Yutong spoke with determination at first. Seeing Shen Yurou bowing her head in silence, she sighed, and, unable to help softening, thought for a moment and added,

”After the opening ceremony, when I don’t have scenes, I’ll take a couple of days off. If you really want to see Yangyang, I’ll go back with you.”

”Really?”

”Of course, sis, would I lie to you...”

”Yeah, sis, I trust you!”

Seeing Shen Yurou looking much better, Shen Yutong finally relaxed and continued eating her breakfast.

...

After breakfast, Shen Yutong and her sister, Shen Yurou, left together, heading to a temporary film studio near the hotel.

The studio was over three hundred square meters, and several scenes requiring special effects would be shot there. Before the actual filming, it was often used as a temporary meeting place for the crew.

”Yutong, morning!”

”Yutong, you were amazing in yesterday’s scene, I was really moved...”

On the way, crew members greeted Shen Yutong from time to time, and she responded with smiles, even able to recall the names of the most inconspicuous roles, leaving them a bit flattered.

At that moment, Shen Yutong dressed simply but stylishly, flaunting an understated yet eye-catching fashion sense from top brands.

Besides, Shen Yutong had a knack for dressing carefully, subtly showcasing her figure, exuding the aura of a star with every step.

In contrast, Shen Yurou, walking beside her, dressed herself in layers, wearing a hat and mask, constantly keeping her head down. After being in the crew for almost ten days, nobody realized that Shen Yurou was also a striking beauty.

”Yutong, you’ve changed a lot, you don’t seem like a student who’s never been in society...”

Once past the busy area, when it quieted down, Shen Yurou whispered, with an envious look in her eyes.

She could never match Shen Yutong’s confidence and adeptness in social situations.

”Sis, I didn’t understand all this before either.”

Shen Yutong whispered back, ”Before I joined the crew, I asked Zhou Wang for a lot of advice. He told me to try to get along with everyone, no matter how humble they seem since I had no real connections here, the crew’s relationships are complex, and doing so couldn’t hurt...”

”That Zhou Wang... quite impressive.”

Having heard that name from Shen Yutong again, Shen Yurou nodded, her gaze somewhat evasive.

Shen Yutong never hid anything from her, having shared everything about Zhou Wang in recent days. After listening, Shen Yurou then realized Zhou Wang wasn’t actually a landlord but rather an affluent young man, making it possible for Shen Yutong to join ”Chu Tian Yao” crew.

Although Shen Yutong didn’t explicitly say it, Shen Yurou wasn’t foolish and guessed her sister’s relationship with Zhou Wang couldn’t be simple.

This often left Shen Yurou worried and tormented.

She still hadn’t dared to tell Shen Yutong about that incident in the apartment.

To Shen Yurou, it was her biggest secret; she didn’t even know how to begin telling Shen Yutong.

If Zhou Wang had been just an ”ordinary landlord,” although awkward, they would almost never see each other afterwards and Shen Yurou could gradually forget it.

But if Zhou Wang was really in a special relationship with Yutong, future interactions would be inevitable. What would he think of her, and would it affect his relationship with Yutong...

Shen Yurou couldn’t help overthinking, constantly returning to that fleeting moment in her mind, unable to sleep.

Because, for Shen Yurou, that was, in fact, the best experience she’d ever had.

When the bathroom door opened, the moment their eyes met, setting aside the panic and other emotions, she floated to cloud nine in a heartbeat.

Thinking this way, Shen Yurou felt ashamed and guilty again, realizing what a shameless woman she was, and that while it was supposed to be forgotten, she couldn’t help but reminisce.

”Sis... sis?”

”Ah, Yutong, were you calling me?”

Hearing continuous calls by her ear, Shen Yurou snapped back, luckily with her mask on, or her blushing face would have been quite noticeable.

”Sis, are you okay?”

”I’m fine, just got distracted for a moment. What did you say?”

”I said I’ll go greet the director’s crew, and you go see which makeup room I have to go to. I’ll come over in a bit...”
