The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 618: Chapter 252: One Week

Zhou Wang, who rarely stayed in bed, surprisingly snuggled with Su Yajing until past eleven the next morning.

In fact, Su Yajing wasn’t the type to lounge around in bed either. Although she wasn’t exactly a fitness enthusiast, as a professional performer, she was aware of the importance of maintaining her physique and did some light body-sculpting exercises each morning.

Besides that, she was quite disciplined in her eating habits. For instance, now, faced with a table full of sumptuous breakfast, she only took a taste here and there. If she craved a particular dish, she would chew it a couple of times before spitting it out, calling it, ”just tasting the flavor.”

”Brother, isn’t this a bit wasteful?”

Su Yajing looked at Zhou Wang with some concern, mainly worried that he might have a negative impression of her behavior.

”Give me your phone.”

Zhou Wang just smiled.

Su Yajing, not understanding what he wanted, obediently unlocked her phone and handed it to Zhou Wang without asking any questions.

As expected, the wallpaper on Su Yajing’s phone was a photo of the two of them together. Zhou Wang wasn’t surprised by this. He tapped into her WeChat, and instead of checking her chats, he swiped right to open ”My.”

When he saw the balance in Su Yajing’s wallet, Zhou Wang was slightly taken aback, and asked in surprise, ”You only have this much money left?”

The combined balance of ”Wallet” and ”Change” was just over thirty thousand.

If he remembered correctly, when Su Yajing left Ming City a month ago, Zhou Wang had transferred her two hundred thousand. He hadn’t expected her to spend money so quickly...

”I bought a lot of things during the vacation and helped my aunt with some expenses...”

Thinking Zhou Wang was criticizing her for being so spendthrift, Su Yajing couldn’t help but hurriedly try to explain.

”Why are you explaining this? If you want to spend, just spend. What I mean is... why didn’t you tell me when you were almost out of money?”

Zhou Wang reassured her, and once she smiled again, he looked back at the phone. After some operations, Zhou Wang navigated to WeChat’s public welfare feature and casually selected a project called ”Orphan Sponsorship,” donating two thousand yuan on behalf of Su Yajing.

”Although wasting is not good, you can offset the guilt with positive actions like this. I used to do the same thing, it was just that back then I had no money, so after doing ’bad things,’ I’d donate a penny for some psychological comfort.”

”Hehe, Brother, you live so philosophically, I admire you!”

Su Yajing clung to Zhou Wang’s neck, her eyes sparkling.

Zhou Wang chuckled and picked up his own phone. In front of Su Yajing, he transferred her six hundred thousand in three installments.

”Oh, Brother, t-this is too much...”

Su Yajing tried to refuse.

”Do you think tens of thousands are a lot to me?”

Zhou Wang, however, shook his head, ”I already don’t have much time to spend with you. If I can’t even satisfy your little material desires, what am I?”

”Brother, how can you be so good...”

As Su Yajing’s eyes reddened with emotion and she hugged him tightly, Zhou Wang couldn’t help but internally remark.

Actually, it was quite a lot for him...

Recently, his expenses had been significant. To gain followers, he’d thrown in millions, and his cash reserves once again fell below fifteen million.

However, with more sources of income now and no longer just relying on the system’s daily ten-thousand salary, and with shareholder dividends from Wuyou Media’s last financial year arriving before October, Zhou Wang was not worried at all.

Besides, apart from the dividends from the Sanhe club, the monthly profits of the Lishui Yunquan Hotel could also be used to support Su Yajing, which should be plenty, right?

...

Since he was leaving Ming City soon, Zhou Wang spent the entire day with Su Yajing.

In the afternoon, they went to the famous Seven-Colored Happy World amusement park. Su Yajing found it quite amusing that, despite claiming he could watch horror movies and listen to ghost stories all by himself, Zhou Wang dared not ride the roller coaster.

”Watching horror movies won’t kill you, but riding this might indeed pose a life risk.”

Zhou Wang argued this way.

So the two only ended up enjoying some relatively gentle attractions, taking many photos. However, Su Yajing insisted on using her phone for the pictures, reluctant to have any unflattering moments on Zhou Wang’s device.

In the evening, they went to the city center, bought a heap of snacks from roadside stalls for dinner, and Zhou Wang accompanied Su Yajing for a stroll.

Halfway through, Su Yajing pulled Zhou Wang into Henglong Square in Ming City. Standing in the open lobby on the first floor, they exchanged a knowing smile.

It was the place where, through a twist of fate, they met and where Zhou Wang’s ”game of life” began.

”Brother, every time I think back, I feel so fortunate...”

”You know, that day’s escort job was actually meant for another girl. I usually only take online gaming gigs, but I couldn’t find anyone else at the time. Brother Mao told me he’d give me a big red envelope to cover, so I came.”

”I had decided that if the client looked troublesome, I wouldn’t accept the job. Luckily, I met you.”

”And luckily, I kept my most precious thing...”

”Meeting someone you can rely on for life in your first love, how fortunate...”

Standing amidst the bustling crowd, Su Yajing, somewhat emotional after her chatter, pulled Zhou Wang into an embrace, closed her eyes, and brought her red lips toward him.

Though Zhou Wang was shy, at that moment, he could only half-heartedly cooperate.
