The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 624: Chapter 253: The Affairs of the Crew_3

”””

Because Shen Yurou had been zoning out a lot recently, Shen Yutong didn’t mind, she just repeated herself.

Shen Yurou quickly nodded and headed toward the area where the wardrobe and makeup rooms were located.

Shen Yutong herself went to the tent, the only area with seating.

This area was quite inconspicuous, seemingly just a few simple folding chairs, but it symbolized the power center of the crew.

When Shen Yutong arrived, the director of the crew, Xu Youguang, who had a big beard and a literary vibe, along with an assistant director, the art leader, and several main actors had already gathered there, chatting and laughing.

”Director Xu, Director Liu, Teacher Zhang, Teacher Chen,...”

Shen Yutong greeted everyone one by one, her manner quite restrained.

”Mm.”

Seeing Shen Yutong, Xu Youguang, the chief director of the crew, merely nodded lightly, maintaining his serious demeanor.

The assistant director’s attitude was relatively better, and the art leader, Teacher Zhang, also just nodded, while the attitudes of the actors varied greatly.

Besides Shen Yutong, there were the second female, the fourth female, the second male, the third male, and the fourth male.

The first female, Xia Xiwei, was not mentioned; her makeup was long settled, and she wouldn’t attend small meetings with the crew. The leading male was also a young star with a significant position and hadn’t yet reported to the crew.

So, today’s fittings mainly involved the supporting roles.

The second female, Yang Hongni, in her thirties, was an actress who became famous early in the entertainment industry but had never been very popular. She merely smiled modestly at Shen Yutong’s greeting.

Among the male actors, aside from the slightly famous second male who occasionally acted cool, most were generally friendly to Shen Yutong.

Especially the third male, an actor named Chen He who arrived a week later than her and was said to come from a modeling background, was quite amicable with everyone and shared similar principles of conduct within the crew with Shen Yutong.

The only discomfort for Shen Yutong came from the fourth female actress, a girl named Tang Lingli in front of her.

In Shen Yutong’s view, her appearance was average, but she had a voluptuous figure and had acted in many short dramas, reportedly hand-picked by the director as the fourth female.

Why was the crew’s relationship network complicated?

Because characters who could become main actors often had no simple backgrounds.

From Shen Yutong’s shallow understanding, the lead female Xia Xiwei was the mainstay of the primary investor, Daxia Film and Television, and the second female, Yang Hongni, was reportedly designated by the cooperating platform, QQ Film.

Each male actor also had their own backgrounds, supported by unseen big shots.

Thus, even with Zhou Wang’s relationship, Shen Yutong was extremely cautious when dealing with these main members of the crew.

Coupled with incidents like the lighting crew employee being let go, Shen Yutong had always been very careful in the crew, afraid of offending someone and causing trouble.

She wasn’t afraid of causing trouble for herself but was more worried about affecting Zhou Wang.

She felt Zhou Wang had already done enough for her, and she didn’t want to add unnecessary trouble to Zhou Wang.

”Yutong, you’re early. We were just waiting for you.”

In response to Shen Yutong’s greeting, Tang Lingli said with a sarcastic smile.

The atmosphere in the area immediately became subtle with her words.

Actually, Shen Yutong wasn’t considered late, as the notified time was ten o’clock, and there were still ten minutes left. But she happened to be the last one to arrive, giving the impression that everyone was waiting just for her.

Tang Lingli pointing it out inevitably made people feel awkward.

”I... I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make everyone wait for me.”

Not knowing how to explain, Shen Yutong could only say stiffly.

She could be composed with others in the crew due to her status, but with these people in front of her, her wisdom proved insufficient.

Especially with Tang Lingli, who seemed to have disliked her from their first encounter on the set, often picking on her more than once or twice, though Shen Yutong always chose to endure it.

”Not intentional is even scarier, doesn’t that imply you subconsciously ignored everyone?”

Tang Lingli said this jokingly, but it undoubtedly further embarrassed Shen Yutong.

”I, I really didn’t mean it... Teacher Tang, you were late for the trial makeup last time too, isn’t this quite normal?”

”What did you say?”

Tang Lingli’s expression changed as she sneered, ”I was late because I was discussing the script with the director, are you questioning me or the director?”

”I didn’t mean that, I just said, if it’s only occasionally...”

”Enough!”

As Shen Yutong hurriedly tried to explain, Director Xu Youguang frowned and interrupted them.

”Come earlier next time.”

Xu Youguang gave Shen Yutong a mild glance, then waved his hand, ”Since everyone is here, quickly go change, a representative from the investors will come today, and President Ma will also visit the set. Our time is very tight!”

With the director speaking, everyone stopped talking and headed for the makeup room.

With pursed lips, Shen Yutong walked the fastest, but as she reached the makeup area, she heard a commotion ahead and saw her sister Shen Yurou stumbling out of a makeup room door, falling to the ground with a muffled groan.

”Sis!”

A look of panic swept over Shen Yutong as she rushed forward to help Shen Yurou up.

But Shen Yurou seemed to have fallen hard, looking at Shen Yutong with tear-filled eyes, unable to speak at that moment.

Shen Yutong looked up and saw another middle-aged woman at the makeup room door, seemingly flustered. If Shen Yutong remembered correctly, she was Tang Lingli’s assistant.

With anger boiling, Shen Yutong didn’t care about anything else, she left Shen Yurou and charged forward, pushing the woman hard.

Caught off guard, the middle-aged woman was also pushed to the ground, her body hitting the makeup table with a cry of pain.

This scene was caught by Tang Lingli, who had followed them, leading her to let out a scream.

”Shen Yutong!”
