The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 446: Chapter 202: Perfume Appraisal Master_4

”Mr. Zhou!”

As they just stepped out of the restaurant and hadn’t yet set foot on the internal path to their hotel rooms, a sudden shout came from the roadside.

The group looked up in surprise to see three people rushing over. By their appearance, it was hard to tell how long they had been waiting there.

The three people were precisely the representatives from Brioni, whom Zhou Wang had met that afternoon—Wu Nala and two foreigners.

”Whew, Mr. Zhou, they’re still not giving up, huh? Leave it to you to handle?”

Zhang Shihao instantly understood, merely smiling as he spoke to Zhou Wang.

”Alright, you guys go ahead... Xiao An, have the waiter take them to the room.”

Zhou Wang was also quite surprised that these people managed to find their way here. He motioned for Xiao An, who was about to step forward to block them, to step aside.

Zhang Shihao clearly didn’t take the scene seriously. Laughing and chatting, he and the curious Luo Meiling followed the waiter’s lead, leaving Zhou Wang standing there with Xiao An.

Wu Nala and her two companions quickly approached. Seeing Zhou Wang still willing to talk, Wu Nala let out a small sigh of relief. She hurried forward a few steps, and without another word, deeply bowed to Zhou Wang.

”Mr. Zhou, we deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused by Brioni’s previous breach of contract!”

As Zhou Wang remained silent, Wu Nala quickly glanced at Lucas behind her, who then looked at the designer Fabio.

Fabio, though somewhat reluctant, stepped forward and forced a smile in broken Chinese. ”Mr. Zhou, when I received your order, I happened to be sick. I can even show you a hospital certificate, please...”

He only got halfway through his sentence before Zhou Wang let out a snort of laughter and turned to leave.

”Mr. Zhou, Mr. Zhou...”

Wu Nala immediately panicked, and Lucas also stepped forward, urgently saying, ”Mr. Zhou, Brioni can show sincerity. Can we talk again?”

”I’ve already seen your sincerity, let’s leave it at that.”

Zhou Wang didn’t turn his head. As they tried to catch up, Xiao An had already called over security to stop them.

Watching Zhou Wang disappear around a corner lined with greenery, Wu Nala stamped her foot. She couldn’t hold it in anymore and turned angrily to question Fabio:

”Fabio, why on earth do you still make lame excuses at a time like this? I clearly told you how to apologize when we came, how can you be so stupid!”

”Wu Nala, please watch your words. You’re insulting my integrity. I clearly expressed my apology; it’s just that Zhou Wang is unwilling to accept it...”

Fabio felt wronged and was very displeased with Wu Nala’s scolding.

”Alright, stop arguing!”

Lucas quickly intervened to stop the impending altercation between the two. He felt Fabio’s attitude indeed lacked sincerity but also thought Wu Nala calling Fabio an idiot went a bit too far.

”It seems we can’t count on becoming a sponsor for Wuyou’s Night, but I’ll report back to headquarters. No worries, with Brioni’s background, we will still find other ways to expand the Huaxia market. Nala, don’t be too anxious.”

Lucas consoled her.

Watching Lucas, who at this moment slightly leaned towards Fabio and maintained an inexplicable confidence, Wu Nala felt a wave of helplessness.

What era is this? Can we stop with the self-delusion?

Moreover, for some reason, Wu Nala had a strange intuition that making an enemy out of Zhou Wang wasn’t wise, though she couldn’t pinpoint where that unease stemmed from...

Knowing she couldn’t rely on the two of them, Wu Nala bit her lip and began to think alone.

...

West Lake Four Seasons, Ambassador Three-Bedroom Residence, East Wing Courtyard.

Though Zhang Shihao and Luo Meiling had specially allowed Zhou Wang to have tea, as a young person, Zhou Wang couldn’t really bring himself to do such an awkward thing. So, in the end, there was a bottle of red wine on the table—the same bottle of ’82 Lafite they hadn’t finished at the previous dinner.

However, drinking at this point certainly couldn’t be as intense as it was earlier. There was no need for toasting anymore; it was just a conversation prop.

Luo Meiling, meeting Zhou Wang for the first time, wasn’t going to discuss in-depth topics. Zhou Wang could tell she actually had some intention of cooperating with him, but since she didn’t make it clear, he wouldn’t inquire further.

”So, Brioni is seeking a partnership with your Wuyou?”

Recounting the earlier incident as a funny story satisfied Luo Meiling’s curiosity. Who knew Luo Meiling was extremely interested?

”You actually refused a top luxury brand in menswear, but I think this is a mutually beneficial matter, aligning well with today’s trends. The combination of influencer economy and luxury brands is a good explosive point...”

Luo Meiling didn’t know about Zhou Wang’s past grievances with Brioni and simply expressed her view from an objective standpoint.

”Hahaha, Meiling’s words aren’t unreasonable. Anyway, since this deal didn’t go through, let’s look for another opportunity to try in the future...”

Zhang Shihao, perhaps worried Zhou Wang might find it hard to engage with this topic, was the first to laugh.

Zhou Wang didn’t say much, just got an idea from this, but due to the effects of alcohol, he didn’t think it through clearly at the moment...

The three chatted casually, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Zhou Wang only realized the gradually thickening exotic fragrance when he found Luo Meiling had somehow—or perhaps unknowingly—gotten a bit closer to him.
