The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 426: Chapter 198 ”Embarking on a Career

First of all, Zhou Wang had never held a job.

Secondly, it was unlikely that he would ever work, or even if he did, it was impossible for him to sit in an office from nine to five.

So Zhou Wang was quite curious about the daily life of... ordinary salaried workers.

But soon, he realized that Wuyou Media might be quite different compared to regular brick-and-mortar companies.

Or rather, companies like this MCN that rely on influencers and internet celebrities couldn’t compare to ordinary companies in terms of atmosphere.

A gym was fine; most large companies have one...

But have you ever seen any company set up a billiard room, KTV, game room, massage room, dance practice room in its headquarters building...

Starting from the first floor and moving up along the tour, Zhou Wang was quite bewildered at what he saw in the explanation of ”Not Eat Peach Flavor.”

”Hehe, actually, besides being used by employees for breaks, Mr. Zhou, you could also view these as filming resources. Many times, you don’t need to set up scenes or find locations; you can solve it directly in the company...”

”Got it.”

Zhou Wang suddenly understood.

Internet celebrities needed to be highly productive, especially in the initial phase of building a fan base. If they couldn’t even manage one post a day, how could they be an internet celebrity?

With the scale of Wuyou, even though the famous internet celebrities rarely stayed at the company, many newcomers still joined every day, and the diversity of the company’s scenes could meet all their needs for shooting short videos...

Zhou Wang looked closely and found that the KTV rooms in Wuyou Media seemed quite familiar, maybe he had seen them in some short video before.

”Mr. Zhou, should I accompany you to sing a couple of songs?”

Seeing Zhou Wang lingering in the KTV room, looking quite interested, Peach suggested with a smile.

”No need... Let’s go.”

Zhou Wang glanced at her, unable to tell if she genuinely didn’t understand or was pretending—

A lonely man and woman singing here, could this be decent?

After passing through the entertainment areas on the lower floors, they finally reached the serious office area, where most of the young people sat beside rows of workstations.

”Operations, editing, internet celebrity management, post-production, human resources, administration... but mostly operations. Nowadays, competition in every track is fierce, so the operations position is quite important.”

Peach, who was often in the company, was evidently familiar with every department and explained thoroughly, answering almost every question.

Little Biao, whether to avoid suspicion or for some other reason, kept a distance, just trailing from afar.

In the eyes of Wuyou’s staff, this handsome young man Zhou Wang was often mistaken for a newly signed streamer at the company... after all, his external conditions were evident.

Because of this, Zhou Wang saw their most genuine working state.

His first reaction was that working at this company was quite fortunate...

Because it was permissible to browse short videos openly.

He didn’t just see a computer playing a web version of TikTok, but a guy likely from the editing position watched videos intently. When Peach communicated with him, he elegantly called it ”seeking inspiration”...

Listen to this rationale; Zhou Wang thought that even if he were the manager, he couldn’t criticize him as long as he completed his work on time and in quantity.

Since most of them were young, the overall atmosphere was quite relaxed. They weren’t surprised by Peach’s intrusion, and the bolder ones would even joke with Peach, and she would laugh and respond.

Going up another floor, the environment became quieter, and instead of large office areas, there were independent rooms.

”This area is the exclusive lounge for artists who have reached a certain number of fans. It can also be seen as an independent live-streaming room, and the company’s signing room is also here...”

Peach moved a little closer, her fragrance drifting into Zhou Wang’s nose. While she was softly introducing, a slightly sharp voice suddenly came from beside them:

”Xiaoxiao, please, can I call you Ms. Xiaoxiao? Such a good opportunity last night, and you messed it up. Can you tell me what you think about every day?”

Zhou Wang turned his head in surprise, seeing two women facing each other in a half-open lounge room.

Facing Zhou Wang was a woman in a white silk robe, with makeup seemingly halfway done. At this moment, due to anger and grievance, her full figure outlined by the robe rose and fell, quite eye-catching.

The woman was Wang Xiaoxiao, whom Zhou Wang had met last night; facing her was another woman in a professional outfit, likely her agent, and when Zhou Wang looked over, Wang Xiaoxiao happened to speak:

”Sister Yan, but Mr. Zheng clearly had bad intentions toward me. I kept saying I couldn’t drink anymore, yet he kept pushing drinks on me. He... he even tried to touch my thigh...”

”How much would it cost you if he touched you once? Mr. Zhang has emphasized countless times that management can’t abuse power for personal gain. If you don’t want to, would he dare act recklessly?”

The woman called Sister Yan sneered at the words.

”But...”

Wang Xiaoxiao wanted to argue further, but her gaze lifted and saw Zhou Wang outside the door, and she immediately froze.

At this point, Peach, who was following Zhou Wang, finally reacted. She quickly walked over to close the lounge room door and turned around to give Zhou Wang an awkward smile:

”It’s quite common for agents and artists to have some work disagreements in our industry...”
