The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 390: Chapter 189: The Rainbow-Colored Exclamation Mark_3

Originally, because of a request from Mr. Zhang, Wang Xiaoxiao was supposed to drink tonight, but she didn’t expect the ”important guest” Mr. Zhang mentioned to actually know Hua Suisui.

And through a brief chat, at least on the surface, Zhou Wang’s personality seemed quite easygoing, so Wang Xiaoxiao bravely spoke up...

Zhou Wang gave her a gentle smile and glanced at her, ”Anything’s fine.”

He never forced anyone to drink, whether they were male or female. There was really no fun in it.

Since the conversation flowed, the girls began gossiping about the company, while Zhou Wang listened intently, all the while asking Xiao An to bring the wine list.

”Xiao An, which vintages of Chateau Lafite do you have?”

Glancing at the wine list provided by the Golden Sands Hall, Zhou Wang casually asked.

Since they couldn’t drink white wine, red wine was the most suitable option. Zhou Wang wasn’t particular about the brand, but thinking about it, among the brands he had tasted, Lafite, although a bit hyped, had a relatively good taste, so he went with it.

After communicating with the storage department through the earpiece, Xiao An smiled and said, ”We have the vintages known as benchmarks of quality from ’99, ’03, and ’08, and if Mr. Zhou would like, there are also two bottles of the ’82 Lafite in stock.”

”Only two bottles of the ’82? Then let’s have them both.”

Thanks to the enthusiastic hospitality of Brother Zhang, Zhou Wang indeed spent little money while in Hang City, so he didn’t mind spending a day’s wages on some good wine.

”Please wait a moment.”

Xiao An wasn’t particularly surprised, but the three girls who were chatting about company gossip were all drawn to the situation.

Hua Suisui was unfazed, having already witnessed Zhou Wang’s billionaire mansion. She simply exclaimed ”Wow” cooperatively, but both Endme and Wang Xiaoxiao were quite impressed.

The ’82 Lafite, so famous—though none of them knew much about wine, they’d heard of this top luxury red wine...

Although Zhou Wang was never an ordinary person, spending six figures on wine didn’t just make him ordinarily wealthy.

Their own monthly incomes reached six figures too, but spending ten thousand on a purse was one thing; spending ten thousand on two bottles of wine was another story...

”By the way, Zhou Wang, can I ask, what is your relationship with our Mr. Zhang?”

Wang Xiaoxiao suddenly remembered she had overlooked a very important question.

”Yeah, I meant to ask you earlier, but completely forgot. I didn’t know you knew our Mr. Zhang...”

Hua Suisui also looked curiously at Zhou Wang, knowing where Zhou Wang came from. In theory, he shouldn’t have any connections with Zhang Shihao.

”Actually, I haven’t met your Mr. Zhang, but I am good friends with his nephew, and we have some business collaborations as well...”

Zhou Wang explained briefly with a smile.

He thought the atmosphere was quite nice right now and didn’t want to put any pressure on the girls. Plus, hearing them freely gossip about Wuyou Media was quite interesting to Zhou Wang, so he skipped mentioning his ”shareholder” status.

”I see...”

Wang Xiaoxiao felt a tad disappointed upon hearing this. She had been wondering if she could influence Mr. Zhang through Zhou Wang, but since Zhou Wang was merely Mr. Zhang’s junior, she abandoned her fantasies.

”Mr. Zhou, your dishes are served.”

Amidst the girls’ chattering, soon, dishes began to arrive one after another from the kitchen.

Golden Crispy Chicken, Foie Gras with Scallion Cake, Chicken Jus Braised East Star Grouper, Old Moon Brewed Sea Snails, and Spring Bamboo Shoots and Abalone Meatballs...

Seeing various signature Zhejiang or Magic City style dishes on the table, even Zhou Wang, who usually couldn’t go without spice, found his appetite whetted.

He was slightly disappointed with the ”Braised Abalone and Pork,” known as the Golden Sands Hall’s top signature dish.

But seeing the three girls happily enjoying themselves, Zhou Wang thought, the main reason probably was that he didn’t favor sweet flavors, finding such dishes cloying even when paired with olive oil peas, it couldn’t completely cleanse his palate...

The taste of the dishes was certainly above standard. His dislike was purely a matter of personal preference.

After a bit of eating, the opened ’82 Lafite was ready to drink. Under Endme and Hua Suisui’s expectant gaze, a server poured each of them a glass.

”Xiaoxiao, are you really not going to drink? They say each bottle of this type of wine is irreplaceable...”

Hua Suisui jested with Wang Xiaoxiao.

”I’ll pass, I’m fine with juice...”

Wang Xiaoxiao hesitated for a moment, then shook her head.

”Alright then, let’s toast to Zhou Wang for his wonderful treat!”

Hua Suisui raised her glass. Despite clearly being older than Zhou Wang, her sweet-sounding ”brother” didn’t feel out of place.

Zhou Wang noted it felt entirely different from when Su Yajing called him ”brother.” Su Yajing’s voice was more alluring, while Hua Suisui’s was more coy, yet both gave a tingly sensation.

Hmm, he wondered what it would be like to hear Hua Suisui call him ”dad”...

After clinking glasses with the three girls, Zhou Wang didn’t care if wine like this should be savored slowly and downed a third of the glass in one go.

Hua Suisui hadn’t planned to drink so quickly, but seeing Zhou Wang do it, she followed suit.

Endme found the idea amusing, blinking as she wondered whether this exquisite red wine needed to be downed in one gulp to truly capture its essence.

She usually drank sparingly, but after a moment’s hesitation, followed their lead and downed it too...
