The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 375: Chapter 185: The Relativity of Bootlickers_2

This was something Jiang Qingkui mentioned to Zhou Wang in passing.

What a wonderful girl...

Foolish Cheng Zhe!

Every time Zhou Wang thought about it, he couldn’t help but curse.

At that moment, with light footsteps, Cheng Yiyi brought over the drinks.

The cola was canned Coca-Cola, while the orange juice had been poured in advance, probably from a large bottle... nothing special.

”Mr. Zhou, Miss Xu, please enjoy.”

Due to the circumstances, even if Cheng Yiyi had a thousand things to say to Zhou Wang, she couldn’t, and all she could do was hide everything in her eyes and actions, which made Zhou Wang feel a bit uneasy.

And when she handed the orange juice to Xu Wenqian, the way she leaned over was unusually excessive, almost brushing the floral-patterned blouse against Zhou Wang’s face.

Bold!

Zhou Wang caught the faint fragrance, and it seemed he could even feel a bit of warmth, causing his eyelids to twitch.

But he reminded himself of his previous judgment...

Girls like Cheng Yiyi were not to be trifled with; if you weren’t sure you could handle it, better not mess around. After all, what she wanted wouldn’t be as simple as Su Yajing.

Perhaps sensing Zhou Wang’s avoidance, Cheng Yiyi gave him a glance filled with a hint of indignation.

She didn’t understand.

What was she lacking...

From the time she met Zhou Wang until now, she considered herself proactive enough.

In her nearly twenty-one years of life, when had she ever been this enthusiastic about a boy?

Every day, she was constantly sharing her life with Zhou Wang, from good mornings to insomnia, from lunch to late-night snacks, from Beidou to Magic City...

Even among the ten recent posts she made on social media, eight were about Zhou Wang, though the hints were subtle... yet Zhou Wang never liked any of them!

Not to mention liking, Cheng Yiyi even felt Zhou Wang might not have seen her posts at all.

She had asked Liu Zixi, but Liu Zixi could only fumble around without a clear answer, merely suggesting that Brother Dog might have been too busy...

Cheng Yiyi never doubted her own charm; she’d been in the company for just over six months and already had three pilots pursuing her...

She just couldn’t figure out where the problem was.

When she first saw Zhou Wang’s name on the business class VIP list today, Cheng Yiyi felt a rush of excitement.

Her hard work had paid off, allowing her to secure an internship opportunity in the front cabin, which was how she happened to meet Zhou Wang.

Though due to her own pride, she wasn’t as enthusiastic about Zhou Wang as before, being able to see him again and ask him directly what he thought...

Alright, in essence, Cheng Yiyi’s mindset boiled down to three words: Unwilling to let it go.

She had lived a life of abundance since childhood, and she was beautiful. Wherever she went, she was the center of attention and had scarcely encountered any setbacks, but with Zhou Wang, she felt like a particular, well-known creature—

A sycophant.

Now that she finally saw Zhou Wang, that feeling became even more pronounced.

She deliberately moved closer just to see Zhou Wang’s reaction, and the result was obvious... Zhou Wang avoided her.

As Cheng Yiyi fumed inside but kept a smile, a voice came from behind her: ”Yiyi, I’ll have a coke too.”

”Okay, Mr. Song, coming right up.”

Cheng Yiyi straightened up, took a slight breath, quickly adjusted her expression, and turned to the man with only her professional smile and cool eyes.

Zhou Wang curiously glanced at the young man who looked slightly older and dressed quite sharply.

There were only five passengers in the business class. A middle-aged couple sat on the side in front of Zhou Wang, and this young man sat on the other side, just across the aisle from Zhou Wang.

From the way he addressed her, it seemed he knew Cheng Yiyi, prompting Zhou Wang to take a second look.

It was exactly this extra glance from Zhou Wang that encouraged the young man, who had seemingly been eager to chat, to smile warmly at him and say: ”Buddy, are you going to Hang City for fun?”

”More like a business trip.”

Zhou Wang just smiled, taking the opportunity to glance at Cheng Yiyi’s departing figure, and asked: ”Do you know this pretty flight attendant?”

Perhaps Zhou Wang’s deliberate emphasis on ”pretty” struck a chord with the young man, who sat up slightly straighter and responded with a modest smile:

”We can’t exactly say we know each other... I’d say we’re childhood friends, how should I put it, I watched Yiyi grow up.”

”Oh, that close?”

Zhou Wang asked with a bit of envy on purpose: ”You two aren’t... you know, a thing, are you?”

”No, no, not that far... though, it’s a bit like that.”

The Song family young man couldn’t hold back the smile at the corners of his mouth, and after coughing, he continued: ”Our parents are quite close, now that Yiyi has graduated, they’ve been trying to set us up. It’s just that Yiyi is a bit reserved. Well, her family upbringing was good, she’s that kind of traditional girl...”

Zhou Wang turned his head slightly, but all he did was nod in agreement.

”So, Mr. Song, you’re going to Hang City for what reason?”

”Oh, I don’t have any serious business, I just came for this flight... Um, truth be told, this is my eighth flight this month; I’m almost sick of it.”

”Wow.”

Zhou Wang could only give him a thumbs-up, flying just to meet a girl... it was like a movie!

”You’re really committed, but a girl as outstanding as Cheng Yiyi is, well, she deserves that.”

Zhou Wang sincerely praised him.

”A man has to be a bit proactive!”

The young man grinned, then winked at Zhou Wang, ”Your girlfriend isn’t bad either!”
