Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

From the woods on both sides of the road, a large number of Dragonkind Spearmen were running toward Lin Moyu, a red chain pattern imprinted on their heads.

They are under the effect of Slowing Curse.

Behind them, there are Dragonkind Mages.

There are at least 100 Dragonkind Spearmen and more than 20 Dragonkind Mages.

”How could I forget about its scope?”

This is the first time that he has used Slowing Curse in combat since it has reached level 22.

He forgot that the skill’s range was 3,300 meters now.

With such a large range, the skill practically covered the woods on both sides of the road, drawing all these monsters toward him.

”This is a great way to attract monsters, and it makes them slow.”

The Dragonkind monsters ran as if in slow motion, giving Lin Moyu sufficient time to prepare an offensive.

Dragonkind Spearmen launched their skill.

Skeletal Warriors retreated one after another, most successfully avoiding the skill. Only a few that were a tad slow were hit by the skill and fell into the stun state.

Even so, Lin Moyu didn’t give the Dragonkind Spearmen the chance to harm the Skeletal Warrior this time.

Magic attacks fell on the slow moving Dragonkind Spearmen, followed by miserable screams.

Massive explosions rose.

The Dragonkind Spearmen that were drawn by Skeletal Warriors were wiped out.

As for the Dragonkind Spearmen and Dragonkind Mages that were attracted by Slowing Curse, they were still a distance away, running slowly in this direction.

After the 33-fold decrease, their movement speed was roughly on par with level 20 class users -- pitifully slow.

Lin Moyu waited for them to enter the range of the Skeletal Mages, and then started his assault.

Skeletal Warriors once again welcomed the opponent and brandished their blades, all the while serving as a human wall, blocking the Dragonkind Spearmen from getting too close.

A series of transparent binds suddenly appeared on the Skeletal Warrior.

Skill: Wind Binding!

Dragonkind Mages continuously released Wind Binding, binding in place Skeletal Warriors one by one.

Just because their movement speed was decreased doesn’t mean that their skills were affected.

”That’s really far.” Lin Moyu was secretly shocked.

At this point, the Dragonkind Mages are at least 300 meters away from the Skeletal Warriors.

They can use their skill from so far away.

Compared to the Skeletal Mages, their range is a lot longer.

When the Skeletal Mages were iron rank, their range was only 50 meters.

At the bronze rank, their range reached 100 meters.

Now at silver rank, the Skeletal Mage have a range of 200 meters.

Their range is quite a bit lower than that of the Dragonkind Mages.

For Mages, longer range comes with great advantages.

For one, it is much safer, and can even allow kiting.

Not unlike now.

The more than 20 Dragonkind Mages used their skill continuously, quickly binding the Skeletal Warriors in place.

Subsequently, a tremendous tract of fire fell down.

The bound Skeletal Warriors weren’t able to resist and could only passively bear the attacks.

This is a flaw of the Skeletal Warriors.

Without a counter skill, they can be easily restrained and targeted.

”Kill it!”

Lin Moyu pointed to the Dragonkind Spearman who was charging at the very front, and the Skeletal Mages immediately launched a focused assault.

At the same time, Lin Moyu’s hand flickered with soul fire.

As for the Skeletal Warriors, they can only serve as meat shields and attract the opponent’s firepower.

Fortunately, their physique is strong enough. It will take the Dragonkind Mages a lot of time to kill them.

The Skeletal Mages unleashed two volleys of attacks, while Lin Moyu unleashed Soul Blaze.

The Dragonkind Spearman was quickly killed, and then detonated.

Skill: Corpse Explosion!

An explosion echoed through the dungeon, and a bunch of Dragonkind Spearmen died.

Corpse Explosion’s range is not enough to reach the Dragonkind Mages.

Standing 300 meters away, the Dragonkind Mages continuously released a rain of fire. At the same time, they restrained the Skeletal Warriors, not giving them a change to get close.

If there were a Knight present, he would be able to use Taunt, making the Dragonkind Mages focus on him.

If it were a Knight with the skill Chain, he would even be able to pull the Dragonkind Mages right to in front of him.

At the same time, Knights also have anti-control skills. Wind Binding would be of no consequence to them.

In addition to Knights, Lin Moyu also thought of Mages.

Some Mages possess the skill Silence, which can make Mage-type monsters lose their ability to attack.

But at this time...

There is only one method, and that is for the Skeletal Mages to pres onward and unleash a focused assault against a Dragonkind Mage.

Lin Moyu cooperated with the Skeletal Mages and used Soul Blaze to interrupt the skills of the Dragonkind Mages as much as possible.

With this, the stalemate was broken, and a tough battle ensued.

The Skeletal Warriors can’t provide assistance in any way until their binds are lifted.

They can only stand there like fixed targets. They can’t even be retrieved into the summon space.

This is the most challenging dungeon raid Lin Moyu had so far.

Hell rank difficulty really lives up to its name.

If Bai Yiyuan had known that Lin Moyu will choose hell rank difficulty, he would probably spit out blood.

At this point, Bai Yiyuan had returned to Xiajing Academy and then had gone back to his courtyard house.

Meng Anwen still sat there in the courtyard, enjoying tea.

He seems to be looking at something, an inscrutable gleam in the depths of his eyes.

When Bai Yiyuan returned, Meng Anwen withdrew his gaze and poured him a cup of tea. ”Is it done?”

”Mhm, it’s done.”

Meng Anwen gave him a meaningful look, ”Looks like you really want to nurture him. You even sacrificed a star for him to plant an imprint in the Hall of Heroes.”

Bai Yiyuan made a big investment this time.

He didn’t even mind sacrificing the identity of five-star godly general.

In order to allow Lin Moyu to plant his imprint, he spent a large amount of military merit, dropping from five-star godly general to four-star.

Others may not know what this means, but Meng Anwen is quite clear about it.

He also has an military badge -- purple and gold, with five sparkling stars -- on his chest.

Bai Yiyuan was unconcerned, ”The kid is a promising seedling. We can’t let him die by accident, can we?”

”Enough of our geniuses have died already. If this can make sure that one less genius dies, then it is worth it.”

Meng Anwen didn’t dwell on it. He took a sip of tea and said, ”He should have gone to Dragonkind Frontline Outpost, right?”

”He must have. After all, the mission I gave him is to gather some Dragonkind materials.”

Bai Yiyuan had a proud smile on his face.

It seems to be guiding Lin Moyu in a certain direction.

Meng Anwen said slowly, ”The materials you want will only drop in nightmare rank difficulty, and their drop rate is very low.”

Bai Yiyuan chuckled and said, ”This is precisely the point. Doesn’t the kid have a Cooldown Charm? After seven or eight raids, he should be able to obtain the materials.”

Meng Anwen shook his head and furrowed his eyebrows, ”Say, is there a possibility he would choose hell rank difficulty.”

Pfff!

Bai Yiyuan -- tea in his mouth -- did a spit take, an incredulous look on his face, ”No way. The kid isn’t that foolish.”

”You mean confident, not foolish. Hasn’t the kid always displayed great confidence? After all, he’s able to carry 39 people through Tyrant Desert by himself.”

Bai Yiyuan’s face assumed a slightly overcast shade, ”I should have warned him not to go into the hell rank dungeon. Hell rank difficulty is completely different from nightmare rank difficulty.”

Meng Anwen smiled and said, ”In any case, even if he goes into the hell rank dungeon, it’s none of your concern. After all, you can’t go in and rescue him. So leave it up to fate. Anyway, you’ve already helped him plant an imprint. He won’t die. At most, he’ll just suffer a setback.”

Bai Yiyuan felt a headache, a worried look in his eyes, ”How did I forget to tell him about it?”

Meng Anwen looked at Bai Yiyuan’s expression, and the smile on his face became more intense, as if he had seen something interesting.

There aren’t many things that can make Bai Yiyuan feel a headache.

He placed the refilled tea cup under his nose and said in a soft voice, ”Have you considered that he might really be able to clear the hell rank dungeon?”

”There’s no way!” Bai Yiyuan blurted out instinctively. He doesn’t think that Lin Moyu has a chance to clear the hell rank dungeon.

Meng Anwen grew silent. He just quietly drank tea and watched Bai Yiyuan.

After a moment, Bai Yiyuan said in a grave voice, ”In case he really manages to clear it, then the benefits will be tremendous.”

...

[Killed level 31 Dragonkind Mage, EXP +620,000]

[Obtained Dragonkind horn]

Lin Moyu finally wiped out the Dragonkind Mages.

The Skeletal Mages have suffered different degrees of damage.

Lin Moyu retrieved them into the summon space for healing and restoration.

The 20 Dragonkind Mages dropped only two Dragonkind horns. This drop rate is really low.

In this battle, the Skeletal Warriors were basically rooted to the ground, no different from spectators.

Lin Moyu found an empty space and sat down to rest.

Up to now, he has pushed through one-third of the dungeon.

He has never toiled so hard in a dungeon before.

He looked at the distant dungeon exit.

After going through so much, the exit still appears to be far away. Lin Moyu didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Who could have imagined that the hell rank difficulty is this challenging, completely exceeding expectations.

The key lies not in the increase of the monsters’ combat power, but in their control skills, making things really difficult for Lin Moyu.

Looking at the outpost fortress still in the distance, it seems to be mocking him.

Lin Moyu raised the corners of his mouth. Since he has come here, he will go all the way.

He might as well go and see what a hell rank dungeon boss is all about.

Giving up halfway is unlike him.

After resting for a moment, Lin Moyu felt that the Skeletal Mages have practically recovered and proceeded toward the fortress once again.

The area for the next 3,000 meters is already empty.

After all, the monsters there were attracted by Slowing Curse.

After crossing that area, the dungeon road will come to an end.

At this point, with his level 22 class user vision, the fortress’s details can already be made out.

The fortress looks similar to human fortresses.

There are Dragonkind monsters on the outwall, with Mages and Archer walking back and forth.

Its defenses are tight.

Lin Moyu had a headache.

With Mages present, it won’t be easy to breach it.

The good thing is that the gate is open.

At the same time, there are many Dragonkind monsters outside the fortress.

”Let’s first deal with the Dragonkind monsters outside.”

Lin Moyu no longer used the method of drawing a massive amount of monsters, but began to deal with them one by one.

After all, under the current circumstances, dealing with a bunch of monsters may not necessarily be faster.

Especially with the presence of Mages. With a few Mages around, the Skeletal Warriors will be turned into decorations.

He can only do it step by step, giving full play to the numerical and attribute advantage of the Skeletal Warriors.

Although the current approach is slower, but it’s also more relaxed.

This is reminiscent of the first dungeon Lin Moyu raided.

”Let’s give up speed and return to the basics, going slow and steady.”
