Necromancer: I Am A Disaster

Lin Moyu walked unhurriedly, his aura steady like a mountain.

After going through the baptism of multiple dungeon raids, Lin Moyu’s aura has changed unwittingly.

It’s completely different from that of new students, and the difference can be discerned at a glance.

Feng Xiu’s eyes narrowed sharply, ”He has become stronger.”

Xia Xue nodded, ”Looks like it. He appears to have become more awesome.”

Zuo Mei’s eyes welled up with fighting spirit, ”He also has an aura of combat on him. He should have just emerged from a dungeon.”

Feng Xiu agreed with Zuo Mei’s statement.

Lin Moyu’s arrival has attracted the attention of many people.

”It’s Lin Moyu, the imperial top scorer.”

”He seems different.”

”He appears to be more awesome than he was during the great examination.”

”Indeed. The sight of him puts me on edge.”

The students commented one after another.

They have seen Lin Moyu in Battle-Space.

If it weren’t for him, many would have died back then in Battle-Space.

Xia Xue waved her hand and said, ”Dummy Lin, we’re here.”

When he saw Xia Xue, Lin Moyu smiled slightly. The aura of combat dissipated at once.

He quickened his pace a bit, ”You guys have come.”

Xia Xue said grumpily, ”What nonsense. If we hadn’t come, it would mean that we haven’t been accepted.”

Lin Moyu realized the mistake in his words and smiled, embarrassed.

Zuo Mei suddenly asked, ”What level did you reach?”

Lin Moyu didn’t hide it, ”Level 22.”

What!

Xia Xue let out a strange cry and quickly covered her mouth.

Feng Xiu was startled as well. How did he reach level 22?

The great examination was only a few days ago. How did he reach level 22 in just a few days?

Xia Xue had a shocked expression, ”How did you level up so quickly?”

Lin Moyu said casually, ”I did a few dungeon raids.”

Feng Xiu said in a deep voice, ”The academy has a place called Dungeon Hall, which contains many dungeons. In there, you can pay points to dispel the cooldown period of dungeons and can repeatedly raid dungeons.”

Xia Xue also knows about Dungeon Hall. With their background, they have access to more information than ordinary people.

Zuo Mei, on the other hand, wasn’t aware of this. She just listened quietly.

Xia Xue asked, ”Did you raid dungeons in Dungeon Hall?”

Lin Moyu nodded. That’s indeed the case.

Xia Xue sighed, ”You have a lot of points and can splurge. Unlike you, I have few points. I have to use them sparingly.”

”After all, it’s difficult to earn points.”

Lin Moyu doesn’t know what to say, thinking that although it’s not easy to earn points, but it’s not difficult either.

Getting rich won’t be easy. As for earning enough points for daily use, that shouldn’t be hard.

Feng Xiu said in a deep voice, ”Even though you’ve raided dungeons repeatedly, but this leveling speed is still quite astonishing.”

To reach level 22 in a few days, this is truly amazing.

They have no way to know. But if it weren’t for the last two days, where Lin Moyu was carrying people, he would likely have reached level 24 by now.

To Lin Moyu, level grinding isn’t hard.

A bell rang, signaling the start of the opening ceremony.

In the blink of an eye, a person appeared on the previously empty podium.

”Hello, students. I am the director of the Office of Academic Affairs of Xiajing Academy. My surname is Qiu. You can call me Director Qiu.”

”Firstly, welcome to Xiajing Academy.”

”I believe all of you were geniuses in your respective high school. During the great examination, you even obtained the title of urban, provincial, or even imperial top scorer.”

”However, these accolades are all in the past. From this point on, you are just new students of Xiajing Academy.”

”In Xiajing Academy, you will learn knowledge you haven’t encountered before, experience different dungeons, and engage in combat.”

”Supervisors will teach you new skills and various survival strategies. At the same time, you will have to complete the missions assigned by the academy.”

”The specifics have already been sent to your communicators. When the ceremony is concluded, you can check it.”

”Now for a brief explanation. In the academy, there are ordinary students, institute students, and top institute students.”

”Does that sound awkward? Get used to it.”

”These three classes enjoy different resources. Therefore, students, strive to climb the ranks. The higher you climb, the more colorful life will get.”

...

Director Qiu continued his impassioned speech.

In the sky, behind the clouds, there are several people stand in the air.

Bai Yiyuan is among them, ”Old Qiu keeps spouting the same things year after year.”

Ning Tairan snorted, ”If you don’t like it, then go do it yourself.”

Since yesterday, Ning Tairan has been opposing him on every turn and corner, nitpicking every word.

Bai Yiyuan paid it no mind. ”Fine. I’ll go next year. Old Meng, help me write a speech.”

Meng Anwen shook his head, ”You can just improvise something.”

Bai Yiyuan’s countenance suddenly changed dramatically, ”Old Meng, you have to help me.”

Meng Anwen turned away, ignoring the other party.

Director Qiu talked for a full 20 minutes before finally saying everything he had to say.

Some things he said were useful, while others not so much. The students had to listen nonetheless.

Then he changed the topic, ”During the opening ceremony, we have a custom, that is, the popular segment where senior students challenge new students.”

”As the senior students challenge new students, they will wager a certain amount of points.”

”The new students can refuse. But if they accept the challenge and win, they will win the points wagered by the senior students.”

”Of course, regardless of whether they win or lose, the new students won’t have to give up anything.”

As Director Qiu’s words fell, a group of senior students walked onto the podium.

Bai Yiyuan uttered disdainfully, ”It’s the same old story. This only serving to suppress new students, to teach them who’s boss. How pointless.”

Ning Tairan thought otherwise, ”These new students are top scorers from all over the empire, who are regarded as geniuses in their hometowns. Each and every one of them is extremely arrogant. If they aren’t knocked down a peg, they might strut around all conceited.”

Bai Yiyuan naturally understood what the other party meant. He chuckled and said, ”I wonder if anyone will challenge Lin Moyu.”

Challenge Lin Moyu?

Meng Anwen said lightly, ”No one would be that foolish.”

Surprisingly, there’s such a custom in Xiajing Academy.

If you win, you will get points. If you lose, you won’t have to give up anything. At most, you’ll lose face.

However, losing to a senior student is nothing to be ashamed of.

As for the senior students, losing is quite shameful.

Many people were getting agitated.

Someone asked, ”Director Qiu, our level and the levels of our skills are lower than that of the seniors. There’s no way we can win.”

”And besides, how will our safety be safeguarded?”

Director Qiu, who was already waiting for these questions, smiled and replied at once, ”You asked poignant questions. Of course, the academy has already considered them.”

”The matches will be held in a specialized martial arena. The arena has a formation set up that will restrain the level of the higher-leveled party to the level of the lower-leveled party.”

”For example, if one party is level 22 and the other party is level 17, then the level of the former will be automatically restrained to level 17. All their attributes will be restrained to level 17.”

”The same also applies to skills. Skills above level 20 can’t be used.”

”As for safety, there’s no need to worry.”

”The formation will protect you. Even if you receive a fatal blow, your life will not be in danger in the martial arena.”

”There are godly Healers in the academy. Even if you lose a limb or two, they can be regrown within minutes.”

The academy is very considerate.

In this way, both parties appear to have been brought to the same plane.

Some were moved and surged with fighting spirit.

The senior students smiled, really fond of this custom.

They accepted the academy’s mission of teaching the new students how to behave.

At this moment, a senior student with a bow on the back walked out and pointed to a new student who also has a bow on the back, ”I challenge you.”

The new student is a provincial top scorer and has a very high opinion of himself.

He accepted the challenge without hesitation.

At this moment, the senior students stepped out one after another and challenged a new student each.

Some new students accepted, while others refused.

”Lin Moyu, I challenge you.” Suddenly a voice rang out.

Lin Moyu looked up. The one who challenged him is Ling Zhen.

This guy is really persistent.

Murderous intent streaked across Lin Moyu’s eyes.

Unfortunately they are in the academy, so he can’t kill the other party.

”Lin Moyu, you are this year’s imperial top scorer. Do you accept the challenge? You aren’t afraid, right?” Ling Zhen pressed on and asked repeatedly.

Lin Moyu said in a deep voice, ”How many points will you wager?”

Ling Zhen said without hesitation, ”I’ll wager 5,000 points.”

Lin Moyu shook his head, ”That’s too little.”

Ling Zhen furrowed his eyebrows when he heard Lin Moyu say that 5,000 points is too little.

Ling Zhen asked in a grave voice, ”How many points do you want me to wager to accept the challenge.”

Lin Moyu extended a finger and said, ”100,000.”

Murmur!

The whole square quieted down.

The people who have come here would at most have 10,000 points.

In general, they would have 5,000 to 7,000.

To them, 100,000 points is something beyond imagination.

Ling Zhen said disdainful, ”Are you kidding me? Do you even know what the notion of 100,000 points entails? Do you have 100,000 points? Even if you sell yourself, you won’t be able to get that many points.”

Lin Moyu said, ”Alright, then let’s do it this way, let’s make a bet. Let’s wager points equal to the amount of points I have.”

”If I win, you will compensate me with points equal to the amount of points I have.”

”If I lose, all my points will be yours.”

”Do you dare? Senior Ling Zhen!”

Lin Moyu gritted his teeth when he said the word senior.
