Wilderness:

In the early morning,

Elder Derek and the protectors are continuing their fight. It’s not easy to kill the Tier-5 Black Snake beasts. The scales of the Tier-5 Snake beast are strong and powerful.

They easily block the attacks from the beast tamers and the lifeline beasts. The lifeline beasts are having a hard time destroying the defenses.

On the other hand, the instructors are able to kill many Tier-4 Snakes. But then there are a few left, which could pose a threat to the students.

So they continued with their fight.

Swoosh!

Suddenly, one more beast slipped past the instructors and darted towards the students’ camps.

Jeremy is obviously waiting patiently. Upon seeing the incoming beast, he unsheathed his sword and began to cover the sharp edge with new starlight.

His eyes are directed at the beast. His senses are heightened. He didn’t even move an inch from the spot.

The Tier-4 Black Snake saw the prey blocking its path. It rushed forward at high speed with its mouth wide open.

Jeremy is using his eye ability to observe the movement of the beast. He is not taking the beast lightly. The Tier-4 Beast has intelligence. It could change direction at the last moment.

Swoosh!

The snake beast reaches Jeremy in the blink of an eye. But upon seeing the unarmed group of human prey before it, it immediately shifted its focus.

It changed its direction at the last moment to move towards them. It was seen by Jeremy Night.

Swoosh!

Jeremy used ”Explosive Steps” to generate maximum speed. He then jumped above the beast’s head. The Black Snake was startled.

Seeing that prey itself was coming towards its mouth, it decided to swallow it.

Jeremy was taken aback. The beast’s reaction and response were fast. If he didn’t do anything, he would land straight into its mouth.

The next second, Jeremy took out a handgun from the holster.

Boom! Boom!

He started firing bullets at the snake’s eyes. He is using it without starlight.

The bullets struck its head but were blocked by thick skin. But it gave Jeremy the opportunity to land in a safe spot.

He landed next to the snake’s head. He immediately put the gun back in the case before using the movement technique.

”Explosive Steps!”

At breakneck speed, Jeremy reached the left eye of the snake beast.

Stab!

When the beast reacted, Jeremy’s blade had already reached its eye. The next second, the starlight-filled blade went straight into the left eye of the snake.

Puchak!

A torrent of blood gushed forth the next second. But it needed enough thrust to reach the brain.

Hiss!

The snake beast hissed loudly. Using the opportunity, he turned his attention towards the other eye.

He removed the blade before trying to attack the other eye. The next second, Jeremy felt a sense of crisis.

Swoosh!

He retreated backward. The next second, he saw a huge tail sweeping over the previous spot. If he had been one step late, the tail would have struck him.

Jeremy then calmed his heart down. He knew it wasn’t easy to take down a Tier-4 beast. If the beast started thinking, then it would become harder to kill.

Swoosh!

Jeremy then rushed forward to attack.

The Tier-4 Black Snake was totally enraged. It set its eyes on the enemy and bolted towards the attack.

The starlight power had yet to disappear. Jeremy focused on the right eye.

Swoosh!

In the blink of an eye, the huge mouth of the snake reached him. He exploded with great speed to evade the attack.

At the last moment, he sidestepped enough to avoid the frontal attack.

Jeremy then dashed forward to target the right eye. The head of the snake touched the ground, missing its target.

It gave the right opportunity for Jeremy Night. He jumped to attack.

Stab!

He thrust his blade forward. The vertical snake pupil showed fear for the first time. But it was too late to move.

The katana blade penetrated deep into the eye before piercing through the brain.

Pfff!

A lot of blood emerged, spraying the ground red. The vitality in the snake’s body was slipping away. But nerve activity was making the body move.

Jeremy then unsheathed his sword before landing on the ground.

Tud!

Slowly, the snake’s body lay flat on the ground.

Jeremy sighed in relief. He was glad that he was able to kill the beast. If the beast had moved past him, it would have killed many students.

”Jeremy, thank you!”

The next second, he heard the words of Instructor Jacob. Hearing that, he nodded to him.

He then saw the eyes of the other instructors. They were surprised and relieved as well.

Only he knew it was not easy to kill the beast at all. He was fortunate that no Tier-5 Beast slipped past them. Otherwise, the consequences would have been disastrous.

Meanwhile,

Daniel Stone and Betsy Lowe were dumbfounded. This time, the shock had numbed them. The Tier-4 Snake had almost gotten past Jeremy Night.

But Jeremy was able to kill the beast in the end. If the beast had appeared in front of them, then they would be dead for sure.

Not only were they numb, but the other students were in great shock as well. If they could say the first time was luck, then the second time was even more dangerous.

No one doubted Jeremy Night’s strength right now.

May Lindsey’s heart almost stopped. She knew that Tier-4 Beasts have better intelligence, which makes them more dangerous.

That beast had almost caught Jeremy Night off guard. But Jeremy Night once again surprised them. He had responded quickly to the challenge.

More importantly, she saw him using a cold handgun. It was the first time she had seen him use a cold handgun. She thought he was using it as a distraction tool, but it worked out well in the end.

Though the bullets didn’t harm the skin of the snake, they successfully distracted it. Jeremy was able to kill it in the end.

Victor Scott was even more shocked in his heart. He hadn’t expected Jeremy Night to use a handgun. It was an old-era method, but Jeremy was using it to distract the beast.

And he had done it beautifully in front of everyone.

It took some time for everyone to digest the information. Jeremy Night has shocked them again.

On the other hand, the instructors have almost finished clearing out the beasts.

Two hours later,

Swoosh!

Not long after, Elder Derek and other protectors appeared. They have successfully killed some of the Tier-5 Corrupted Beasts while a few of them fled from the place.

By this time, the instructors had also dealt with the Tier-4 beasts. There were no more Tier-4 Corrupted Snake Beasts troubling them.

Then everyone turned towards the university students and went to them.

Ariel Burt’s eyes flickered with complicated emotions. She saw how Jeremy Night took down the two beasts, as if he were a professional like them.

She doubted whether the experienced Tier-4 Beast Tamers could take down the Tier-4 Snake Beasts in a short time.

Not only was she thinking like that. The other instructors were carrying the same doubt in their minds. But they didn’t want to say it openly, as it could lower their prestige.

But Jacob Henry went towards his department students’ side. He looked at Jeremy Night with complicated emotions.

”You have done something even the grown-ups wouldn’t dare to do. I know it’s not easy to take down the Tier-4 Beast in a short time,” Jacob praised Jeremy Night.

It was genuine praise.

Jeremy smiled in response. He was happy after hearing the praise.

Daniel Stone and Betsy Lowe were standing behind Jeremy Night. They were happy to hear the praise as well. If not for Jeremy Night, they would have probably been dead.

At this time, the Elemental Department Instructor and the Control Department Instructor stepped forward.

”Jeremy Night, thanks for protecting the students,” the middle-aged woman said.

Jeremy was stunned. He was not expecting anything from them. But she thanked him.

Jeremy nodded in response.

The Control Department Instructor said, ”You have proved everyone wrong. You already have the strength of the 4th-year students. I hope you will forget the past events.”

Jeremy was dumbfounded. The Control Department Instructor was more talkative than he expected. But it didn’t matter. He was going to leave the university anyway.

So he replied, ”Okay.”

The Control Department Instructor smiled before retreating.

Instructor Jacob and Ariel Burt looked at each other’s faces. They didn’t expect to see such a change of heart from these instructors.

The other instructors followed suit as well. They immediately congratulated Jeremy Night one after another.

Upon seeing this, the other department students were quite shocked and jealous. But they didn’t dare to show envy on their faces.

They understood that they couldn’t fight against Jeremy Night, who had the strength of the Department Instructors.

May Lindsey showed complicated emotions. She knew there was a gap between them earlier, but she now understood how wide that gap was.

Petra Ross, the schoolmate of Jeremy Night, was even more shocked. She didn’t expect that a silent boy in school had grown up to this level.

How long had it been since they awakened their talent to come here? They were just first-year students. Not even a year had passed.

Victor Scott and Levy Glass were thinking the same as well. Right now, Jeremy Night has surpassed them by a large margin.
