STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Wilderness:

Jeremy goes deep inside the inner part of the wilderness. He then starts heading towards the forbidden area. Not long after, he comes across a four-legged Tier-3 Corrupted Beast. It is gray in color.

Upon seeing the beast, his eyes flash with a glint. He puts back the katana blade and takes out his cold handgun.

Jeremy grips the handle in his right hand and points at the incoming beast. The corrupted beast circles around before dashing towards him.

Swoosh!

At this time, he calms his turbulent heart. His talents kick in, and his senses heighten. Because of this, he can aim better.

Bang!

At the right time, he fires at the beast’s head. The bullet speeds through the air and goes straight through the beast’s head.

Thud!

The beast drops dead on the ground. Jeremy looks at the gun in his hand and then smiles. This is his first kill using the firearm.

From now on, he can rely on the katana blade and handgun to kill the corrupted beasts. He then puts the gun back in his holster before leaving the area.

Time passes.

After a journey of more than two hours, he steps into a familiar place. It’s called the Forbidden Area. Looking at the place, he can’t help but think of the Tier-6 Worm Beast.

A quick gleam appears in his eyes. He is curious about the fate of the beast, but he is not going to check there right now. He believes that after reaching Tier-2, his strength will soar. Maybe then he can check out the black lake.

After entering the area, he starts looking around for the best place to practice. He has already felt the pure, rich natural energy here.

As long as he spends a few hours practicing the breathing method, he will evolve to Tier-2 power.

About 30 minutes later,

He comes across a man-made structure. The structure is in ruins. He is looking for a space to hide. The building appears to be a storeroom.

The first four rooms are in ruins, while the last room’s ceiling and walls are somewhat intact. Seeing this, Jeremy raises his eyebrows in surprise.

Then he tries to enter the last room. When he gets inside, he sees a strange tree growing all over the place. Its roots have penetrated everywhere, and they are supporting the ceiling as well.

Jeremy is taken aback. He hasn’t seen such a weird tree before. He continues to observe the tree. He doesn’t feel any sense of crisis. Rather, he finds the tree to be an ordinary tree.

So he decides to practice here. He then takes out sensor gadgets and arranges them outside. Even if a higher-tier beast trespasses later, he will have a chance to react.

After doing that, he checks the surroundings before going back inside the room. He gives a look towards the weird tree before sitting cross-legged on the ground.

Then he closes his eyes and starts practicing the inner healing method. The pure natural energy in the surroundings is abundant.

Because of the weird tree, he finds that the natural energy is quite concentrated here. The natural energy enters his body, and he begins to circulate it according to the routes of the inner healing method.

The natural energy passes through his veins. As the energy flows, the body cells begin greedily absorbing it.

Feeling the long-lost sensation, his mouth curves into an arc. The natural energy here is many times better than in the city environment.

So, using this opportunity, he continues to practice. The unknown beast inside the mental zone is doing its part as well. It has been active ever since he walked into the Forbidden Area.

He doesn’t need to remind me of it. The unknown beast egg is working tirelessly. Its energy requirements are so high that he has stopped thinking about when it will hatch.

After casting aside his thoughts, he continues his practice.

Time passes.

Night falls. At some point, he feels he has reached his limit. Then he suddenly gets feedback from the unknown beast egg.

His eyes flicker with a look of understanding. The next second, his heart rises with excitement. His unknown beast egg has reached Tier-2. Now it’s giving him feedback.

Jeremy then focuses on absorbing the energy.

Click!

He feels some shackles breaking away from his body. His whole body continues to absorb the feedback energy greedily.

”Tier-2, 1st Rank - Early Stage,” Jeremy thinks.

The change is also taking place in the mental zone. The black gate, which has concentric circles in it, begins to show changes.

These circles reflect the power stages of the Beast Tamer.

The first inner circle and its nine sub-blocks glow with white light, indicating the Tier-1 Power Stage. Now the second circle has been activated as well.

Now, the 2nd Circle’s 1st - Early Stage sub-block is filled with light. It represents the Tier-2, 1st Rank - Early Stage power.

He then casts aside unnecessary thoughts and focuses on stabilizing his new strength. It doesn’t take long for his strength to stabilize.

Just as he thinks it is over, he suddenly feels changes inside the mental zone. The white starlight energy surrounding the unknown egg begins to change.

The starlight energy coming from the unknown egg fills the mental zone. But its properties begin to change right now. The gas-like energy starts to condense. The white starlight energy is transforming into a liquid state.

Jeremy’s heart races. It feels like he can do more with it.

Just as he thinks the changes are over and that he can try out the new starlight energy, the unknown egg starts shaking before shooting out two white streaks into his eyes.

Argh!

A muffled grunt escapes his mouth. Intense pain shoots through both of his eyes. He doesn’t know what that is, but he can feel his eyes undergoing some changes.

Time passes.

He doesn’t know how long it takes before the pain subsides. Jeremy rubs his eyes before opening them. Then he finds something amazing: his eyesight has changed.

He can see far away compared to before. His vision is crystal clear. He can zoom in and out. When he tries to do that…

Gasp!

A low exclamation escapes his mouth. He zooms in on the tiny water droplets on the leaves. When he zooms out, he finds that he can zoom in and zoom out over 50 meters away.

The next second, his eyes widened with ecstasy. He didn’t expect the unknown beast egg to give him such a surprise. He had always thought that the starlight energy was a single ability of the beast.

But he didn’t expect that the unknown beast egg would bring about changes upon reaching Tier-2. It has changed the starlight into a liquid state. It also granted him new vision abilities. The ability to zoom in and out is not an ordinary power.

He can spot the corrupted beasts from a long distance. Suddenly, he notices something happening in his vision. The wall has become transparent. He can see through it.

He can’t believe his eyes, but he continues to stare at the wall. Then he sees it has become transparent. The green bushes on the other side are very visible to him.

Gasp!

Jeremy sucks in a cold breath of air. Then he closes his eyes and opens them the next moment. His vision has returned to normal.

”What?”

”What’s going on?” Jeremy asks himself.

Then he calms his turbulent heart. He begins to ponder properly. He realizes that the new ability is a vision ability, but it has two functions.

First, he can zoom in and out. Second, he can see through objects. It’s a transparent vision. Both of these abilities are deadly.

With the second ability, he can see through the organs of corrupted beasts. He can figure out their weaknesses and strike accordingly.

”Ha… Ha… Ha…,” a joyful laugh escapes his mouth.

He is grateful to the unknown egg. It has given him an unexpected surprise.

Then Jeremy completely forgets about the outside noise, especially the enemies. Now that he has become a Tier-2 Beast Tamer, he believes in himself more.

He can handle things better. With the new eye ability granted by the unknown lifeline beast egg, he can do a lot more. He can even explore unexplored parts of the wilderness.

Not only that, but he thinks he could fight better against a Tier-4 Beast with his new eye ability. It had been a hard task for him to figure out the weaknesses of a Tier-4 Beast.

With his Tier-1 power earlier, he could only kill up to Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts with a little effort. But to fight a Tier-4 beast, he had felt pressure before.

Now, with this breakthrough, he feels more confident. He can’t wait to fight against a Tier-4 Corrupted Beast. When the excitement settles down,

His expression turns serious. He decides to explore the black lake. He wants to see the fate of the Tier-6 Worm Beast. He doesn’t know whether any remains of the worm beast are left.

If any corrupted beasts hinder him, he is confident enough to kill them with ease. But he chooses to go out in the morning. So, he closes his eyes and continues to practice.
