STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Forbidden Area:

Midnight,

Jeremy Night was practicing at midnight. But he was disturbed by a loud noise. He stopped practicing and opened his eyes.

Growl!

The next second, he heard a growling sound. He stepped outside of the tent. Then he saw a black-colored beast trying to enter.

Boom!

A loud explosion occurred as the black beast stepped on the poison bomb.

Grrroowwlll!

The beast made a weird sound. The green poison began to spread across the area. Jeremy hurriedly swallowed the anti-poison pill.

Then he took out his katana to confront the beast. At night, he wasn’t able to identify the beast properly.

The poison was trying to affect the black beast. Yet the black beast moved forward without minding the pain.

On the other hand, Jeremy took out his device and turned on the light. When the light illuminated the shed, the appearance of the beast became clear.

”What the f@ck?” Jeremy blurted out.

The shock was too much for him because the black beast was the crocodile black beast that lived in the lake. But the size of the black crocodile was not that big compared to the higher-tier beasts.

Jeremy broke out in a cold sweat. The appearance of the black lake beast was not at all on his list. He didn’t know what to do now.

Suddenly, a good idea came to his mind. He believed that the poison must be affecting the body of the beast. He could use this opportunity to test out the beast’s strength.

Growl!

The black crocodile was over 40 feet in length. It was actually smaller compared to those beasts he saw in the black lake that day.

The black crocodile found its prey. It started charging toward the prey. The speed was so high that it didn’t give any time for the prey to escape.

Jeremy, on the other hand, placed the gadget on the floor. The light from it continued to illuminate the area. Then he used the starlight energy to cover the katana blade.

Swoosh!

When the black beast got closer, Jeremy tried to attack with the sword. But the beast swept its tail at him. The starlight-covered blade came in contact with the tail.

Boom!

The next second, he felt a strong recoil. His body was knocked backward before impacting the concrete floor with a loud crash.

Fortunately, this area of the floor didn’t have poison bombs.

Argh!

A muffled grunt escaped his mouth. Jeremy felt his entire body screaming in pain. When he remembered the last scene, his expression changed.

”The starlight energy failed to harm the beast,” he said to himself. The next second, a cold shiver ran down his spine.

This had never happened before. This was the first time. More importantly, the black beast was a Tier-3 beast. Now he knew about the black beast’s strength.

The pressure he felt from the beast was reminiscent of a Tier-3 beast.

Boom! Bomb!

The black crocodile once again ran over the tiles that had bombs. One after another, deafening noises sounded.

The disturbance was so huge that it could attract other sleeping beasts. The loud noise brought his thoughts back to reality.

He then tried to get up using this opportunity. After standing on his feet, he saw that the black beast was running as if nothing had happened.

Even more harsh realization dawned on him. He found that the poison was not working on the beast. More than five bombs have exploded so far.

Yet the black beast was safe and sound. Jeremy’s mind opened to a new world. For the first time, he was facing a dangerous corrupted beast that seemed unkillable.

Jeremy looked at the bruises on his body. He refused to believe that there were no weaknesses in the black beast.

He then tried to utilize his talent. He held the katana handle tightly. In the blink of an eye, his heart calmed down. The environment became quieter to his senses.

Then he found that the black beast’s movements were slowing down before his eyes. Then his gaze settled on the beast’s soft underbelly.

The underbelly looked soft from this distance. But he didn’t know for sure. He could only verify it himself. He then imbued the starlight energy into the katana blade.

”Explosive Steps!”

He exploded with great speed and started charging toward the beast. He was going to target the underbelly of the beast.

Grrroowwwll!

The black crocodile beast noticed the prey and was ready to tackle as well. It opened its mouth to bite. Then the razor-sharp teeth could be seen.

Its jaw could tear apart the flesh of any colossal corrupted beast. An emotion appeared in Jeremy’s eyes. But he quickly focused on the target.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared beside the beast. Then he thrust the katana blade into the beast’s underbelly. The starlight energy-filled blade touched the underbelly.

Clang!

A metallic noise sounded. At the same time, sparks appeared at the contact points. Jeremy Night’s expression worsened; he withdrew the sword before retreating backward.

An unbelievable thing was happening to him. He had never seen such a corrupted beast before. Nobody had told him about this type of beast. It’s not even taught in his school.

Moreover, he hadn’t found any information about the beast in the library. Ever since he started coming here, he had started reading about the forbidden area and its dangers.

There was common information that forbidden area beasts were different from beasts living in the open wilderness. He had thought there could be a slight difference in strength.

Now he understood that he had been a fool all along. The real forbidden area beasts were the ones found in Black Lake.

The beast in front of him had somehow slipped out and come here. He should have studied more. Previously, these beasts had completely wiped out more than half of the beast tamers who came during the Heath Family Mission.

Jeremy’s mind was racing to come up with a solution. He didn’t want to abandon his practice spot.
