Forbidden Area:

Boom!

The Tier-4 Centipede Beast struck the blade with its hind legs. Jeremy felt the powerful recoil effect. The next second, his body darted backward before hitting the ground.

Crash!

A huge crater appeared on the ground. Jeremy was struck in the middle of it. All kinds of alarm bells were ringing in his mind.

The inhuman pain was making it difficult for him to think. But he knew he would die if he didn’t do anything right now. He immediately took the poison bottle from his storage ring.

He smeared the purple poison on the edge of his blade before putting the bottle back in the storage ring.

Click-clack!

Then he saw the Tier-4 Centipede Beast appear in front of the crater. He was one step away from death. Yet he pinned his last hope on the purple poison.

He thought the poison from the Tier-6 Purple Spotted Snake could kill the beast in front of him. Jeremy didn’t continue to lie down. He got up while his bones were making creaking sounds.

He could also feel the tearing of his internal organs. If he didn’t do anything right now, he might bleed to death.

The Tier-4 Centipede Beast was taking it easy. It didn’t feel any threat from the prey. It was enjoying the hunt. When the prey reached its last moments, it would consume it then.

The Centipede Beast circled around the crater. Its massive body was nearing the center of the crater to kill the prey.

Swoosh!

Upon finding a suitable opportunity, he used the movement technique to attack the beast. He selected the area of the target, which was its eyes.

As long as he could poison that area, the Tier-4 Beast would eventually die.

Boom!

The Black Centipede startled. It didn’t expect any sudden movement from the prey. Upon seeing the prey, it decided to bite.

Jeremy got closer to the beast. His heart unusually calmed down. The beast’s actions became slow in his eyes. He could predict what the beast was up to.

Swoosh!

Taking advantage of the opportunity, he plunged the sword into the beast’s left eye.

Puchak!

The blood dyed the ground. The purple poison entered the beast’s left eye. Now it started taking effect.

Swoosh!

Jeremy withdrew the sword before retreating from the place. He could see the beast going crazy from that point on.

Boom!

The Tier-4 Black Centipede moved its body in pain. Its movements were completely destroying the terrain. The ground was literally shaking because of its movements.

Phew!

Jeremy heaved a sigh of relief. He knew the purple poison was acting on the beast. He stood under the tree and began to watch its movements.

He didn’t want to return empty-handed. The corpse of the Tier-4 Beast would earn him good money.

Besides, it had been a long time since he visited the Beast Taming Association.

Once he broke through to reach Tier-1, Rank 7 - Early Stage, he would go there to sell the Tier-4 Beast corpse.

About 10 minutes later,

The Tier-4 Black Centipede Beast’s struggle came to an end. It dropped dead on the ground. Seeing the massive body, he felt a headache.

First, he needed to cut it down into pieces quickly.

Swoosh!

He swiftly moved toward the body. Then he circulated the starlight energy to cover the blade. When the blade flickered with starlight, he began to dissect the beast’s body.

Time passed.

After cutting the beast’s body into small sections, he stored the parts inside the container.

Then he sprayed the beast-repellent odor in this area and on his body before fleeing from the place.

He didn’t want the beasts living in the wilderness to follow him.

About 20 minutes later,

He found a cave structure that was hidden near the creek, where a small stream of water was running.

Seeing that, he immediately entered the cave. The cave was small but was enough for one person to get inside.

He cleared out the cave before spraying the beast-repellent odor. Then he found a place to sit and practice the Inner Healing Method.

It was quite unfortunate that it wasn’t a dangerous area. So the natural energy in the surroundings was not so strong. But it was enough for isolated practice.

Jeremy then closed his eyes and began practicing.

Time passed.

Morning came, and Jeremy opened his eyes, feeling the strain in his nerves. His eyes flashed with disappointment.

He knew the practice time would be longer if he wanted to reach Rank 7 soon. But he was ready to do it.

...

Central University 14:

The senior students were once again trying to find out the whereabouts of Jeremy Night. So they sent out their men to gather news.

It didn’t take long for them to get verified information. After finding out that Jeremy was yet to return from his mission, they were shocked to the core.

Even the senior students wouldn’t dare to spend more than one day inside the wilderness. Especially, they wouldn’t even think about spending nighttime there.

Knowing that Jeremy Night had spent more than one day in the wilderness, they didn’t know what to say. They thought it must be fake news.

There was a chance that Jeremy Night had booked a hotel in the city. He must have been going back and forth from the hotel. It would be convenient.

Then they decided to target him once he returned.

On the other hand, the Attack Department Representative, Romeo Barrett, returned to the university. He continued his daily life. To his surprise, no one knew what had happened to him.

When he asked around about Jeremy Night, he found out that Jeremy Night had gone to the wilderness. He relaxed even more.

But he didn’t have the courage to confront him. If he saw him in the future, he could only avoid him. More importantly, Romeo knew that the senior students had just started targeting Jeremy Night.

There will be more incidents in the future. So he was even more unwilling to meet Jeremy Night and warn him. He couldn’t afford to offend the senior students.

So when the classmates asked about him, he told them that nothing had happened. Even those who knew about the kidnapping became more silent.

...

Wilderness:

About 2 days later,

Inside the cave, Jeremy felt the changes in his mental zone again. The 7th Rank’s 1st Sub-block had lit. He had achieved a breakthrough.

This meant he had become Tier-1, 7th Rank - Early Stage Beast Tamer.

He could go back to the City. He sighed in relief before deciding to spend a few more hours stabilizing the base.

Time passed.

After stabilizing the base, he vacated the cave and started going back toward the City. On the way, he came across low-tier corrupted beings, but he ignored all of them.

Soon, he reached the City Gate. He then showed his ID to the guards before entering the city. He thought he was safe. A smile appeared on his face.

But he felt killing intent the next second. The smile on his face disappeared. His heart raced. He was standing near the City Gate, unsure of how someone dared to release killing intent towards him.

Jeremy didn’t show any reaction but continued to move forward and came to the street.

Then he saw someone looking at him from a distance. The person was hiding behind the restaurant and taking peeks at him.

For safety, he took out his black sword and held it in his hand. He wanted to book an air cab, but he didn’t know why he was standing alert. He had a feeling that the suspicious person might attack him.

Bang!

The suspicious person took out his sniper rifle and shot at the target. He was one of Javier’s men. He didn’t even seem afraid of the City Guards.

At the same time, Jeremy’s heart tightened. When he heard the booming sound, he brought his sword up to block the attack.

He thought death was closer. It was going to be over for him.

Buzz!

Suddenly, he felt his mind become clear. The world in front of him slowed down. Then he raised his head and saw a bullet coming toward him.

He moved his sword and showed the flat face to deflect the bullet. It all happened within a second.

Boom!

The bullet hit the katana blade before dropping to the ground.

Swoosh!

Taking advantage of the situation, Jeremy retreated and headed back to the City Guards. The City Guards, who were checking the IDs of the Beast Tamers, were shocked upon hearing the gunfire.

Then they saw someone rushing toward them.

At the same time, the sniper left the area. He knew it was impossible to continue the attack.

”What happened?”

The City Guard came outside, hearing the shot. Then he and his team rushed to his side.

The Beast Tamers and others immediately scattered from the area. They weren’t going to stick around while danger was present.
