Store:

Jeremy saw that old man returning after a couple of minutes. He had a digital device in his hands. He then showed me the digital device. There were 10 locations listed on the screen.

Jeremy took the device in his hands and started to memorize the locations. He paid most attention to those sites located near the university.

Since Romeo Barrett was kidnapped on his way, he thinks he was taken to the nearest site. He then thanked the old man before asking for the price.

He then paid a few hundred points before leaving the place.

Not long after, the customer was gone. The old man frowned.

”Strange?”

”Why does the young man look familiar?” the old man asked himself. He had not been outside the store lately. Finally, he came to the conclusion that the young man might have visited the store previously.

Meanwhile,

Jeremy picked one of the locations to investigate first. Then he quickly found an air taxi and entered. He told the destination to the driver.

The driver recognized the address, but he warned him that the area has many reported crimes. Jeremy understood that his uniform attracted the driver’s attention.

He assured the driver, and then the driver focused on his driving.

...

Central University 14:

Old man Derek came to the Dean’s office. When he told her about the issue, Dean Carolyn held her forehead in headache. She was aware of the brewing problem.

But she didn’t pay attention to the senior students. She knew some of them had influential backgrounds. That’s why she had issued a warning to them when the STRIKER Department was formed.

Not only had she issued a statement, but the Heath and Knox families had issued a statement as well. To their warning being respected, she grew angrier.

”Dean, it must be someone with a powerful background. One could give a headache to the Heath and Knox families,” old man Derek said after seeing her clutching her head.

He knew it was a sign of helplessness.

”Are you mocking me?” Carolyn asked.

”Dean, I’m stating the facts. Besides, it was clearly done to get rid of Jeremy Night. Otherwise, the senior kids wouldn’t go against the university rules,” old man Derek added.

”Take a few high-tier beast tamers with you. I want to know which family’s kids they are,” Carolyn said in anger.

Old man Derek sighed. He nodded to her before leaving the room.

”Jeremy Night is facing one problem after another. He has more reasons to leave this city and go to better zones,” Carolyn said with a sigh.

She was already worried because of the situation in City A. The influence of the City Governors was weakening. It was causing people with ill intentions to appear.

If the City Administration didn’t handle it properly, the crime rates would soar.

Then she ordered the First Year Attack Department Instructor to keep the information private. She didn’t want the whole university to know about it.

Then she summoned the head of the second-year departments. She is another old woman, a high-tier beast tamer. Her name is Kayla.

She is the Overall Department Head like old man Derek. Usually, she stays low-key, but this time the incident that occurred in the morning shook her.

Old woman Kayla entered the Dean’s office. Dean Carolyn immediately asked her to sit down. She knew that Elder Kayla was older than her, and she didn’t want to make things difficult for her.

Kayla sat opposite her. Before Dean Carolyn could speak, she opened her mouth to speak.

”I tried my best, but some of the students were unwilling to see the emergence of the new department. So much so that they are planning to involve their families.”

”I had thought they had changed after the Beast Invasion, but I made a mistake in my judgment. Those kids still harbor malicious thoughts.”

”I don’t know which kid has taken action now,” Kayla said in a sad tone.

Dean Carolyn felt troubled as well. This is also why she wanted to have balance in the university. That’s why she was not ready to offend anyone, even though she had all the reasons to do so.

Right now, she was worried about something else. Jeremy Night had a backer. If the person was involved, the situation would become more tense.

She didn’t know why she had this feeling that it was better for Jeremy to leave the city.

...

City A:

The cab driver dropped him at the location. Jeremy paid the fare before observing the area. When the air car left the place, his expression became serious.

This street was empty of shops and people. The shops on both sides were closed. Not a single person could be seen walking here.

Jeremy then used the digital gadget to locate the place. He found the old factory site on the map and started walking towards it.

When he got there, he saw the old rundown name board.

Seeing that, his expression became serious. He believed this place needed to be checked. He then walked toward the gate. The old iron gates were rusted.

He couldn’t help but wonder who could be the owner of the old factory. Such a place attracted corrupted beasts. He hoped such problems were not here.

He then opened the door before walking inside. He looked at the high-story building before his gaze fell on the cars.

There were two flying cars parked before the building entrance.

Swoosh!

Jeremy swiftly reached the place. He took photos of the two cars before going inside. His eyes wandered around. Then he heard some noise coming from the upper floors.

He then took his Katana Sword out. He wished for no violence, but if someone attacked him, he would have no choice.

He then started climbing the stairs. When he reached the second floor, he could hear an increase in the sound of conversation, which confirmed the presence of people above.

He didn’t know if they were the same people from the university. He could only go there and check.
