STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Argh!

The burly middle-aged man let out a cry. Cracks started appearing in his mental zone. If it continued, he would be crippled or dead.

Roar!

The wild ape beast let out a roar in agony. Using this opportunity, Jeremy drew his katana to attack again.

Slash!

He made successive slashes with his starlight-infused blade. In the blink of an eye, the wild ape beast’s body was filled with several deep cuts.

Puchak!

Blood started gushing out from various parts of the wild ape beast. The wild ape beast was now at the edge of its ropes. The burly middle-aged man was on the verge of collapsing.

After a few seconds, the wild ape beast succumbed to its life-threatening injuries.

At the same time, the burly middle-aged man received mental backlash because of his lifeline beast’s death. The backlash destroyed his mental zone and crushed his heart and internal organs. He died on the spot.

Jeremy dismissed the starlight energy before sheathing his sword. He then began to check the bodies of the criminals. As time passed, he found nothing on the underlings, but he found clues on the burly middle-aged man’s storage ring.

His storage ring had a unique symbol of a black square. He doubted whether it was a customized product or related to any organization. So he decided to keep the storage ring with him for now.

When it came to dealing with the corpses, he furrowed his eyebrows. To be honest, he could inform his father straight away. He was one of the City Governors and could take care of this matter.

But he was wary of this organization. If the background of the organization was huge, then he could put his family in danger. After contemplating, he decided not to tell anyone.

So he started disposing of the corpses. The best way to do that was to let the corrupted beasts eat them. During the nighttime, the activities of the corrupted beasts were high. He thought they would take care of the corpses.

He then went to check the loaded beast corpses on the truck. Normally, people used the corrupted beast corpses for research. But there are organizations that engaged in illegal practices.

He was not someone who could stand against them at this moment. After erasing all the battle traces, he left the spot. He still had his own mission to do.

Time passed.

He went deep into the wilderness. He came across several Tier-1 and Tier-2 corrupted beasts. But he killed those beasts that attacked him first.

He didn’t want to waste his energy unnecessarily.

Shortly afterward,

He came to the place where he had encountered the Bloodthirsty Salamander last time. Compared to before, he could easily kill the beast now.

He knew that there must be Bloodthirsty salamander’s lair nearby. The place was not fully barren. There was still vegetation growing on the ground.

He thought he could find the lairs as long as he checked the surroundings.

Beep!

Suddenly, he received a message from his father. He was a bit surprised. He hadn’t told him about the mission. But he could guess that his father might have figured it out.

When he opened the message to read it, his mouth curved into an arc.

”He knows me best,” Jeremy smiled.

Because the content was a map. His father had sent him a map where they had marked all the dangerous places around City C.

The map was detailed. It was something available to the family heads. To think he was able to get this so easily. He smiled.

Then he opened the map and started going through it. The terrain outside City C was clearly drawn. The most important places were mentioned as well.

For example, there was a point where mercenaries gathered before going into the wilderness. If anyone needed help, they could reach this point.

Jeremy followed the map and noticed that the previous pond area was drawn as well. But the dangerous area near the pond caught his attention.

”Could it be the lair of the Bloodthirsty Salamander?” he asked in his heart.

After memorizing the route, he closed the map and started going toward the place. The map had come as timely help. It could help him save a lot of time.

Following the route, he went a little deeper into the wilderness. It was the first time for him to travel this far. Even the Night Family Guards hadn’t come this far.

Time passed.

He walked on the uneven rocky path before getting closer to the dangerous area.

Just as he felt hindered by overgrown bushes and dense vegetation, he heard people’s voices again. His senses immediately alerted him.

He crouched down and started to investigate the place. Why was he encountering other Beast Tamers all of a sudden?

He hoped that they were only mercenaries. But to his disappointment, he found the black-clothed people again. They were entering an underground cave structure.

Seeing that, Jeremy understood the content of the mission right now. The mission was to explore the Tier-3 beast lairs near City C.

So it wasn’t just about the threat of the corrupted beasts, but the threat from the illegal groups as well. Whosoever issued the mission must have known about this as well.

Jeremy’s back went cold. He couldn’t imagine the fate of others if they had picked the mission instead of him. The staff had reminded him that he could avoid confrontation if the situation was dangerous. Stay tuned with freewebnovel

So he still had options. He decided to observe them. He didn’t know what these people were actually doing.

But if they targeted all the beast lairs near City C, then there was some conspiracy going on. He couldn’t imagine what would happen if a beast invasion occurred here. So he decided to investigate the place.

Right now, no one was outside. Everyone had entered the underground cave. Jeremy came to the cave entrance. It was wide enough for three people to enter. So Jeremy started walking inside. The passage was quite spacious.

It was enough for the Salamander beasts to get in. The passage led to a place somewhere deep underground. It could be the lair of the Salamander beasts.
