STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Betsy began to tell her experience. She is sharing every detail, including her meeting with Jeremy Night and Instructor Jacob.

In reply, her family told her to utilize the opportunity because the Striker Department is going to receive funds. If there are a smaller number of students in the department, then the students can enjoy a greater number of resources.

It’s been stated that the student count for the Striker Department will be low, so Betsy got the best opportunity to grow. It would be difficult for her in other departments.

After speaking to her family, she ended the call before she continued her business.

Meanwhile,

Jeremy arrived at the Training Grounds. As usual, Instructor Ariel was present. She spotted him immediately.

”Are you going to ask the same thing again?” she asked.

Jeremy smiled before replying, ”No, I need a practice room. I received Advanced Blade Art from Instructor Jacob, so I’m going to practice it.”

Ariel raised her eyebrows in surprise. She didn’t know what other topics they discussed. She had already informed Jacob about Jeremy’s request. She didn’t know what happened then.

”Okay, there is a practice room inside the building. You can pick any one of the available rooms,” Ariel said.

Hearing that, Jeremy nodded to her before entering the building. He spotted Beast Tamers from other departments, especially from the Attack and Defense Department.

Seeing them, he was not surprised. It’s normal for them to spend time here.

On the other hand, others recognized him as well. They then thought about Jeremy’s record. Everyone’s expression became normal. If one can solo kill the Corrupted Tier-3 Beast, it’s impossible to separate his effort from the training.

So these people quickly accepted the facts. Jeremy Night was strong. No one could deny that, especially among the first years; no one could challenge it.

Jeremy Night didn’t know about their thoughts. He arrived in front of one of the training rooms. He looked at the outer monitor installed on the wall. It showed the room was available for beast tamers.

He selected a few options.

Creak!

The door opened automatically. Then he walked inside. The door behind him closed automatically.

Jeremy’s gaze then fell on the structure of the inside room. The room’s enormous size caught him off guard. The length and breadth were all 50 meters.

It’s enough for the Beast Tamers and his lifeline beast to conduct joint practice. The next second, a bitter smile revealed itself on his face.

For others, it’s a perfect place. But he could only train by himself. Then he shifted his attention to the structure.

The floor, walls, and ceiling were made of special metals that can withstand training impacts.

After removing unnecessary thoughts, he walked up to the middle and sat cross-legged on the ground. He took his digital device out and opened the file to study the Advanced Blade Art.

Triple Rapid Cuts

The first page showed a picture of the blade stance. He began to read it slowly.

About 25 minutes later,

He gained some understanding of the Advanced Blade Art. As per the name, the technique consists of only three blade moves. Unlike the basic arts, they are combination moves. They involve footwork and blade drawing styles.

He had never used footwork before, so it was going to be challenging.

Time passed.

After some time, he stood up and tried to do the footwork and blade drawing style. The process continued until the evening. Then he stopped practicing and decided to leave.

The Advanced Technique is not easy for others, but he felt his talent was aiding him in understanding the essence of the technique.

In a couple of days, he believed he could finally start executing the technique.

Creak!

The door opened automatically. Instructor Ariel was nowhere to be seen, so he left and headed back toward the dorm room.

Meanwhile,

The 2nd Year Attack Department Beast Tamers were receiving news from the 1st Year Beast Tamers. It had become a daily routine for them ever since they had decided to hinder the development of the Striker Department.

Right now, some of the beast tamers heard the news. After hearing it, they felt it was another lost opportunity to contact Jeremy Night.

Knowing that Jeremy Night had spent time in the training room, these Beast Tamers were able to guess that Jeremy Night was probably training for his upcoming mission outside.

They felt a sense of urgency to do something. They had already talked about this before; that the team of 2nd year Beast Tamers would take action in the wilderness.

This news made them think further. They needed to come up with a plan to deal with the situation.

Meanwhile,

Instructor Jacob met Instructor Ariel Burt and told her about his decision. Instructor Ariel Burt was stunned. She now understood why Jeremy Night showed no reaction to her question.

”Are you serious?”

”What if people recognize the kids?” Ariel Burt asked.

”Don’t worry, we will go in disguise. The Striker Department has these 2 kids and 4 more to come in the coming days. I think it’s better to train them as Elite Beast Tamers so that they can face and survive any situation.”

”The future growth and success of the Striker Department depends on their performance,” Jacob said in a serious tone.

”You know that there are people who dislike the redevelopment program. They aren’t saying it openly due to fear of offending the Dean.”

”But if they catch the kids outside alone, no one can tell what they would do,” Ariel voiced her concern.

”I was thinking about that earlier. I had the same concern. But Dean Carolyn planned everything out. The identities of all these 6 kids are not ordinary,” Jacob said with a smile.

Ariel Burt was stunned.

Looking at her confusion, he shared the news with her.

A few minutes later,

She was in disbelief and shock.

After a moment, she said, ”I didn’t expect all these kids to be from strong backgrounds.”

”Even the identity of the City Governor is significant. It’s connected to the Human Alliance. But still, you should be careful of all hidden arrows,” she warned.
