STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Meanwhile,

Instructor Jacob went to the library to find a suitable breathing method for Jeremy. As an instructor, he has more access to materials and books than students.

Last night, he did some research on Body Type Talents. There are breathing methods that can strengthen the body. For example, the Black Rock Breathing Method. It can help Beast Tamers gain rock like muscles.

It’s just that Beast Tamers need to consume earth element-related resources. But he doesn’t think Jeremy will accept this type of breathing method.

After getting into the library, he accessed books and materials placed in unauthorized areas for students. But it’s allowed for instructors. He went to this place and started searching the bookshelves.

These books can be accessed online, but it requires permission. He doesn’t want to go through unnecessary hassles.

...

Time passed,

Jeremy Night had browsed several Human and Earth Grade Breathing Methods, but none of them were suitable for him. He knows that Central University 14 is not the strongest university.

There are other zones as well. He thinks their library collection will be massive. He can only try his luck through other methods.

The Striker Department has been reduced to this state. It can be said that there are no material resources as well. To think there was no suitable breathing method for an A-Grade Talent like him. He doesn’t know what to say.

Buzz!

Suddenly, someone is calling him.

He saw the contact name. Seeing that it was Instructor Jacob, he answered the call. The instructor wants him to meet in class in 15 minutes.

After ending the call, he closed the page before turning off the digital device. He then gets up to leave.

About 10 minutes later,

Jeremy reached the building. He spotted the Medicine Department Beast Tamers on the way. They were surprised upon seeing him.

Jeremy naturally noticed that, but he walked past them. It’s not time for any chat. Soon, he entered the lift and reached the top floor.

Creak!

After stepping out of the lift, he found no one on the floor. When he came to the class, he found the place was as usual. He walked up to the front row and sat in the chair.

”I don’t know whether he found anything useful,” Jeremy thought.

Shortly afterward,

Instructor Jacob arrived in the class. Upon seeing Jeremy, he immediately began speaking about the different breathing methods.

He started explaining the pros and cons of each method, starting from using the Black Rock Method. His explanation was simple and easy to understand.

About 20 minutes later,

Jeremy Night’s face was filled with disappointment. Most of the breathing methods mentioned by Instructor Jacob had specific conditions. While practicing, it might change his physique.

Jeremy wanted to practice breathing methods as well. But he doesn’t want to become someone with a muscular body. Instructor Jacob had done good research.

Some methods are useful for his Supreme Combat Body. But he’s a Katana Blade user. He also has starlight energy as a special element. He wants these two as his main attack methods.

Whereas he can use his talent to perfectly use these two methods.

”Have you made any decision?” Jacob asked.

Hearing that, his thoughts broke. He came back to reality.

”Instructor Jacob, I’m not a fist fighter. I don’t use boxing styles either. I use a katana blade in fighting,” Jeremy replied.

”But you don’t have blade-type talent,” Instructor Jacob said. He can understand Jeremy’s concern. Jeremy has been using a katana from the beginning.

He has mastered the basics of the katana fighting style. It would be a pity to discard it right now. But it’s up to Jeremy Night what he wants to do.

”Instructor, with my talent, I can easily comprehend fighting methods. So I’m not worried about using a katana. Rather, it would be better if I could use special energy to cover my katana blade in fighting,” Jeremy asked.

Something clicked in Jacob’s mind. He recalled how Jeremy’s blade was covered with silver light while fighting. He was not stupid. He could understand it might be related to his lifeline beast.

But he couldn’t ask him about it. He was aware that Jeremy’s information was kept confidential. So he didn’t want to dig deeper into this. Yet Jeremy’s answer gave him an idea.

If Jeremy can use his lifeline beast’s special energy and the breathing method’s special energy to coat his katana blade during fights, he can already imagine the results.

Jeremy can then slay more corrupted beasts. But Jacob can already foresee the problem. It’s impossible to use two different types of energy at the same time.

In those situations, Jeremy can only use either of them. Sometimes practicing this type of method can lead to complications.

That’s why some rich people buy powerful lifeline beast cubs for their descendants to bond with. The powerful lifeline beasts have top bloodlines.

Lifeline beasts with such bloodlines can easily break through and evolve faster. In that case, those descendants don’t necessarily have to put energy into learning breathing methods.

He thinks if Jeremy’s lifeline beast is powerful, then he doesn’t have to go through all this ordeal. All he can do is wait for his lifeline beast to break through; the feedback will help him break through as well.

Jeremy frowned. He found Instructor Jacob’s gaze on him.

”Jeremy, I don’t know whether it’s right to ask, but if you have a powerful bloodline lifeline beast, then you don’t have to choose breathing methods.”

”You just have to provide resources to your lifeline beast and wait for it to break through,” Jacob finally said.

Jeremy understood what was going on in Instructor Jacob’s mind. But others don’t know his lifeline beast’s situation. The unknown egg is absorbing natural energy all day long.

He doesn’t even know when it would break through. Others can communicate with their lifeline beasts, but he can’t. He knows the importance of the breathing methods.

They can help the lifeline beast save their energy during feedback. His unknown egg lifeline beast has been absorbing natural energy all the time.

He doesn’t know what will happen during its further evolutions. Each evolution might require more resources for breakthroughs.

But he can’t share all of his worries with Instructor Jacob.
