Retired: Nice Guy. HAREM SYSTEM UNLOCKED

Chapter 28: 28. Dried Balls

I found myself floating in the void, sleeping, peaceful, calm, and warm. Then pain hit like a truck, my head and my stomach both aching.

Then I heard a voice, it was stretched out, but it was like my soul was somehow able to understand it: it was telling me to wake the fuck up.

Holding my head, I was about to grasp my surroundings as my senses became clearer.

”Wake up, potion boy!!”

My eyes opened and Seraphine was leaning over, mad at me for something, trying to get even madder. From that angle, her breasts were hanging low, cow-like.

Where the hell was I, and what was I doing?

Then I noticed my head resting on a lap, whose was it? Seraphine’s? No way. Turning my head and seeing Rue smiling awkwardly was reassuring.

I sat up straight, sweating. Ohh wait, how many Casllay did I earn? How much time did I have left!? Did Seraphine see us doing something?

I noticed the weight of my shirt and then calmed down. Rue must have dressed me. But I did smell of sex, and it was strong as hell. I’m cooked.

”I’m assuming you have the potions ready. I would like to see what you have, but we are running out of time, kid. Get fresh. I’m waiting outside.”

Seraphine said, already moving to the door, not in the mood for any small talk. A ”good morning” would have been nice. I take it back, that’s a luxury. At least she didn’t make me shit myself this time. And that’s fine.

I turned to Rue. Memories came back, only the ones of us doing each other, totally consumed by the potion’s desire. I don’t even know how many potions I bought. I can’t remember.

My head, stomach, and dick ached. Rue was shining like a morning sun, no damage at all. How? She drank some of it too. Less, but still.

”Good morning, master.”

”Don’t good-morning me! Are you alright? Did I go too far while under the effect of the potion?”

I was really afraid, so much so that I cupped her face gently. She looked better than the last time I saw her? This shouldn’t be possible.

”Nope, you didn’t. We didn’t stop until you slept the whole night, then passed out of nowhere. I thought you overperformed, so I took care of you.”

My eyes narrowed at hers. I looked for any sign of sleep deprivation but found nothing. Seriously, girl? No dark circles.

”I’m completely fine, master. You made me drink the potion a few times as well, so it helped. Although I think they were cheap, the effect only lasted 5 minutes for me.”

Rue stared at the ceiling, giving it thought, calculating, her fingers pinching her lips.

”Helped? 5 minutes?”

Just what the hell is she? The potion’s duration was one hour. Her sex drive can’t be this strong. Or there’s something else going on.

”Okay, scrap this. We will definitely talk about this later.”

I rushed to the bathroom in a few steps, grabbing my belt pouch. Getting ready was the priority, since I didn’t want to make Seraphine mad. But I did have to sort out my own work first.

I opened the panel; vines of calla lilies sprouted and took a rectangular shape. Then the panel flickered like a streetlight. I found it odd, and then noticed the calla lilies on the frame had a rather dull, black-red color.

Is it because I’m closer to death? I swallowed and looked up.

ᕙ Lilathea’s Blade Harem System! ᕗ

⟨ Evolution state: Mortal human. ⟩

⟨ Rank: E. ⟩

⟨ Compatibility rate: 34. ⟩

⟨ Casllay mana points: 9530. ⟩

⟨ Lifespan remaining: 12 hours, 57 minutes. ⟩

I kept my hand on my mouth out of sheer shock. 9530? I’m falling short by just 470 Casllay. Then I can extend my lifespan. That’s actually good, because I still have 12 hours left. I can earn it if I try. But how the hell do I do that!?

Then I remembered I still have to prepare some potions for the lab hunt. Fuck, why do I have to go there.

For the first time, I thought Sister Maren was wrong to choose me.

I was frustrated, throwing my arms around the bathroom like a little girl who’s been told by her mother she can’t have candy.

My own fault for performing well in the fight. Can’t actually let Sister Maren down. And if I back down now, Seraphine is going to kill me.

”So I have to go. What if I get lost in that obviously suspicious-looking lab? Where do I even earn Casllay in the dark?”

I was talking to myself, scratching my head hard enough to be its own problem. And I can’t fuck Rue right now, everything hurts. And wait– I got an idea.

I might sound insane, but there’s a new professor who’s going to join us: Dr. Rhiannon Ashcarte. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll get lost with her and then we play doctor, doctor.

I know, I’m a genius.

I was a writer in my previous life, so I’m pretty sure how a story will flow. God has decided to do a little trolling, just to create tension. Dr. Rhiannon Ashcarte and I are definitely going to have sex.

And the difference between mine and Seraphine’s compatibility rate hints at it too.

After my logical analysis of story structure, I have to say, this story is predictable.

I opened up the potions menu and bought 5 instant regeneration and damage potions each, and cried a little when the Casllay number dropped. Even the small amount hurt.

I still had to see what other potions would be useful, and it would cost me more. But more importantly, I had to take a bath, because I could smell sex on myself.

Besides, it worked fine as cover. I shit you not, Seraphine would come in and grab me naked if I didn’t take a bath and dragged this out any longer than it already was.
