Retired: Nice Guy. HAREM SYSTEM UNLOCKED

Chapter 11: 11. A shoulder to cry on

”If you are having trouble deciding, then I would suggest you meet the girls in person.”

The counter lady said while closing the book in front of her. Without me ever responding, she started walking.

I guess seeing my options in person is a good thing, but she should have waited for me to think.

We followed her inside, and one hallway led to more hallways. Soon I saw many sets of doors and number plates, 03, 04, etc.

As we passed by the doors, I heard many noises from inside, moans, giggles, traditional music, and words spoken in heat.

”Ahhh! Put your babies inside of me.”

Yes, I’m afraid that sentence works too well on men. Now I’m feeling the brothel. After passing many doors, the counter lady stopped in front of door number 13.

She opened the door and my nose picked up a new scent, not strong, but light and impactful. Like rain, perhaps.

The room was dark, no lantern lit.

”Apologies, she is new here and having trouble adjusting.”

The counter lady explained while lighting a lantern. I got a better look at the room. I had completely misjudged the place, this was a well-managed brothel.

The room was as big as my room at the university. There was a table in the middle with places to sit on, and a warm rug underneath. The walls were clean, candle holders were attached at comfortable distances, and a painting hung just for the touch.

And a made bed, a four-poster bed with sheer white curtains. The girl was maybe sleeping, and the light woke her up.

”Rue, we have a customer who might be interested in buying you.”

I could see Rue’s back from where I was standing, and I saw her twitch when the counter lady called her out. She started explaining something about the girl, but I was too focused on the girl to listen to the counter lady.

”You see, her parents sold her....”

The girl got up slowly, made her way around the bed, and stopped in front of us. Her face is beautiful and young. Red, warm eyes and black hair. Her posture is relaxed, hands coming together.

She is wearing a long nightgown with ruffles, white and blank. She doesn’t look like someone who belongs in a brothel.

And she has average assets. Really? If I’m going to buy a girl, I would probably get someone with more assets.

Her breasts are average, and the mole on her chest is hot, but I don’t think I should buy this girl. I would compromise on assets if she were some beast girl.

”Look–”

⟨ Darling. Mommy loves this girl, buy her. I know I spoke in the middle, but it’s not my suggestion, it’s my wish. Do as I say. You will get an explanation later on, from her. ⟩

What? Lilathea wants me to buy her? She doesn’t look like anyone special. A window didn’t even pop up. So what’s the matter?

⟨ I think you should find out about her on your own. Obviously, that’s something you should really focus on after extending your lifespan. ⟩

I don’t get her at all. But Lilathea is someone I have to trust.

”I see you are not interested. Let’s mov–”

”No, I’m buying her.”

For some reason the counter lady had a little tears in her eyes when I said that. She didn’t let them sit there for long, though. Did I miss something? What happened?

”Sure, I will go get the papers ready.”

With that, the counter lady stormed out, leaving us alone. I turned around and Lior was crying like a baby. What the hell is up with the crying?

”You know, Elias. You are a really nice guy.”

Ouch, I will take that as an insult, how dare he say that about me.

”I’m literally buying her and I’m planning to do naughty things to her. How am I a nice guy? What’s up with that?”

”You’re saying this type of good behavior is so natural to you, you don’t even realize it? Man, stop making me cry.”

Lior wiped his tears and nose with a rather girly handkerchief. Before I could try to put together the pieces, the counter lady came back with papers.

They were dull-looking and full of long sentences. I didn’t feel like reading, so I signed. What could possibly go wrong?

”Take my money! I’m the one paying.”

Lior said, handing over a small but heavy bag of coins. It was finally time to head back to the university.

”Ahh” the counter lady moaned as Lior pulled her closer, properly grabbing her ass in the process.

”You made me so emotional. Wait here, Elias, I need a shoulder to cry on.”

”Holy mother. Don’t grab me in front of people. Get it together.”

Then the two of them left, shutting the door, leaving me speechless, alone with Rue. It’s fine, he did pay on my behalf and is a really nice friend. Have fun, Lior.

”Master–”

I turned around to make sense of that word. Rue is shy, and she is trying not to look at me in the eyes. I have heard that word countless times in hentai animes, and it awakens something inside you.

Dominance.

”You are human, right?”

”Huh? Yes, master.”

I have no idea why Lilathea wished for her, but she could have at least told me her compatibility rate.

”You seem tired. Would you like to rest? This bed isn’t fit for royalty, but it’s the best we have here.”

My eyes narrowed as Rue gestured towards the bed. She noticed my eyes and twitched. I really don’t know how to act in this situation, I haven’t been with a shy girl before.

”Fine. Come sit with me, let’s talk.”

Or maybe we could do something. I don’t know if it will be appropriate or not. Well, buying a girl isn’t appropriate either, you stupid.

I lifted the sheer white curtains a little and lay down flat from exhaustion. Rue sat down beside me slowly, not sure what to do.

”So tell me about yourself. In more depth.”

Rue turned to me, a little confused, then turned back.

”I don’t know what else to say. She explained everything on my behalf. My full name is Rue Faelan. That’s all that’s left.”

Huh?
