Retired: Nice Guy. HAREM SYSTEM UNLOCKED

Chapter 9: 9. Plans are made

”What are you plotting exactly? Because that did sound like a tongue slip.”

Well... what should I say? She actually wants me to respond. Which is too much for me? I bet other girls are probably thinking, ’He is lucky she is even talking to a loser like him.’ Fangirls.

”No. I meant what I said.”

Now the girls and my gang are popping their eyes out. Who even says that to a higher-ranking woman? And after what happened in the bathhouse?

”Aha, interesting. So you want to shoot your shot? Do you even know what it will cost?”

Saelith wasn’t mocking, she sounded interested instead, but not full interest. More like, I see potential. Which I don’t understand.

”You are asking the same question in different ways. I meant, yes.”

I may sound confident, but I’m not. It’s just that I don’t have much time left and I’m trying to skip a few steps. Of course this will only work if I’ve read her correctly.

”Wonderful... I can be yours. In fact, I can be anyone’s. To be fair with you: as long as my mate is stronger than me, I don’t care about anything else.”

What she said not only made me fall silent, but the entire class. I bet the bullies think they’re witnessing a nightmare of some kind.

”... Okay. So if I get more powerful than you, I’m going to get lucky? I mean, you and me can be together?”

I asked again to confirm. She unfolded her arms, her elf ears lowering as she smiled.

”You’re asking the same question in different ways. But I will repeat it for you. If you manage to get stronger than me, yes, I can be yours.”

What!! The whispers among the other students were no longer whispers, they were talking openly.

”She is a half-elf and Rank Z at that. No one is stronger than her. At least in this university.”

”Probably Sister Maren, but she’s a woman. That could be a forbidden novel, though!”

”Saelith is probably just saying that to put his disgusting ass where it belongs.”

I’m pretty sure that last line was said by some fat bitch. Anyway, this seems like progress, which just makes things more difficult.

Think about it: she likes men stronger than her, but how is a guy like me supposed to get stronger than her in 4 days? I can use the system, but I’m broke as fuck.

”Yeah, not sure what your intentions are, but I appreciate it either way. If I live long enough, sure, I will win you over.”

”You just took the words right out of my mouth.”

With that, Saelith returned to her seat, leaving everyone, including me, distoryed in the process.

”Dude, we need to talk, man.”

Lior said, holding onto my shoulder and making a face somewhere between scared and proud.

We made a circle so no one else could hear us. Wendel talked first, looking the same as Lior.

”I personally think you should stay away from her. It could be a trap, you know. She’s an elf, you know, half or not. What if she’s planning to use you as a vessel for revenge on humans, so she can regain her tribe’s trust.”

”Wait, no, you think she’s a bad person at heart!”

Mossley said that out loud, and we gave him a glare. He made an apologetic face and covered his mouth.

”Don’t just jump to conclusions. Even though I feel it could be a trap, I think we should let Elias decide.”

Lior said, taking my side, and they both looked at me for an answer.

”I do think she has alternative motives, but I don’t think they are evil. Because she is Saelith. And even if she has evil intentions, I’m more than capable of handling her.”

Lior smiled at my confidence, clearly knowing I’d say that.

”Fine then. Go get her. And just letting you know, you have a friend that is ready to help you at any given time.”

Lior is confident, that’s for sure. He doesn’t know the true me, I’m Mark, not Elias. I’m just in his body.

Not sure how much we had in common. But if something led him to take his own life, we had enough in common.

Maybe he sees me the same way Lio used to see me. The guy who’s suffering all the time and doesn’t know what to do. And that’s enough.

”Well, I need your help. I might sound insane, but I need sex. Can you pair me up with some girl? I don’t want anything serious.”

This was a joke, of course. Wendel and Mossley got confused. Valid, because that was crazy.

”Sure, dude. Which type of girl do you want? I can work with beast women, MILFs, slaves. I don’t know about virgins, though.”

The three of us stared at Lior like he was some crazy man telling us the world was ending next month.

”What do you mean!! What are you, a broker.”

”No, obviously not. But I’m talking about actual brokers. I can buy you a session with a brothel girl if all you want is sex. Not sure why, but I’m guessing to ease your soul.”

You know what, this might work. I will definitely be able to make some progress then.

But then again, I don’t want to give my virginity to some brothel girl.

”You mentioned a slave. Can you buy me a slave then?”

”Sure.”

I’m amazed at this guy. If Lior is this chill, I’m really thinking about how my previous life would have turned out with Lio.

”Can I make my decision at the brothel? I want to see what I’m getting into.”

”Sounds like a plan. If you want to see the goods before buying, that’s alright.”

Mossley and Wendel are lost for words. Wendel is more on the calculated side, but without the context even he is confused. Not everyone is like Lior.

”Fine then, when are we going? I want to go there as soon as possible.”

”After class seems cool. I could use a release as well!”

With that, plans were made. Let’s check out what brothels have to offer.
