Pillar of Yita

The atmosphere on site was quite awkward.

The Dwarf Artisan Master brought in by Kalatu finally couldn’t bear it anymore, and gruffly said: ”Aierna, you still haven’t shaken off that bad habit of being obsessed with money.”

The Dwarf, blowing his beard and glaring, criticized: ”Remember, you are a craftsman, your primary duty is to advance on the road of Alchemy. If you spend all day indulging in making money, you’re just wasting your talent on those useless things.”

Lady Aierna blushed: ”Teacher Uno, but historically all famous alchemists have been exceedingly wealthy, and I long for that.”

The Dwarf was nearly faint with anger: ”You’re putting the cart before the horse!”

Fang Hong looked at the two with some curiosity and realized that this ’NPC’ brought by Kalatu was actually Aierna’s teacher, what a coincidence.

Kalatu quietly listened by the side, and only now did he speak: ”Actually, the Ailin Green Family isn’t as wealthy as you imagine, they maintain secrecy just because they don’t want to be disturbed, being a Magic Guided Conductor is very costly, and for the past century they’ve only been able to cover their expenses.”

Aierna stared at this Archmage, her eyebrows gradually raising.

Fang Hong instantly sensed something was amiss, instinctively wanting to intervene, but it was too late. The Chairwoman had already seriously and sternly questioned:

”And who are you, how do you know that the Ailin Green Family isn’t exceedingly wealthy, without understanding, there’s no right to speak, have you researched the Ailin Green Family? I’ve studied their ways of making money for many years, in this regard, how long have you researched it?”

Kalatu looked at the woman, utterly bewildered, only finding her inexplicable.

Hilveld finally couldn’t help but laugh out loud, and turned away apologetically, her shoulders shaking uncontrollably.

Fortunately, our Archmage wasn’t that petty and didn’t leave with a remark like ’I’m Kalatu Ailin Gran, and who are you?’ He just shook his head gently and walked away alone.

In fact, aside from the Court Alchemist sent by the Princess, this was the daily routine in the shipyard — never mind the teacher-student relationship between Lady Aierna and the Dwarf Artisan Master, when it comes to debating how the ’Seven Seas Traveler’ should be constructed, they don’t show any courtesy —

The two argued every three days, a big quarrel every five days, just shy of staging an all-out brawl in the shipyard, with a showdown between Combat Artisans — by the way, to teach a student like Aierna, Uno Tuban is naturally an outstanding Combat Artisan.

Sometimes Kalatu would join in, even though he is a Magic Guided Conductor, he is knowledgeable and occasionally could offer some quite insightful suggestions.

However, Lady Aierna just doesn’t take to this Archmage and often leaves him with no way out, luckily Kalatu has a rare good temper, otherwise he’d really worry that in a fit of pique, the other would cast a twelve-ring spell to flatten the Princess’s shipyard.

If that happened, selling him wouldn’t cover the loss.

However, every time the three of them started arguing, and Sorcerer-Ghoul Tang De joined in, the shipyard would be essentially uninhabitable. The workers would consciously leave, waiting for the three to finish debating, taking it as a brief respite amidst their busyness.

Only the Court Alchemist sent by the Princess could spectate the three arguing as if nothing ever happened, neither participating nor opposing. Sometimes Fang Hong would marvel at this person’s composure, greatly admiring it.

And amid these daily disputes, many ingenious ideas gradually materialized on the Seven Seas Traveler — with Fang Hong’s involvement, the Seven Seas Traveler also began to take on a rudimentary form.
