Pillar of Yita

”Wait, does that mean we can seize the opportunity to renege?” The Papalarian keenly caught the flaw.

”Parker——” Atira glared at the fellow.

Hilveld couldn’t help but smile on the side.

”Alright, alright, I’m not from the Colin Ishurian Kingdom, nor do I belong to the Third District,” Parker said, ”What does it have to do with me, but you must tell me one thing. If we really go against the Royal Household, and I go to steal their treasury, you won’t be as old-fashioned as last time, will you?”

Elisa smiled slightly, ”You said the Captain is old-fashioned?”

”Uh, that was just a metaphor.”

The Big Cat People naturally didn’t need to make a statement. Bakins glanced at everyone, and a trace of emotion unexpectedly flashed across his light brown eyes. He looked at his eldest young lady and suddenly realized that she had chosen the right group of people from the beginning.

Xiesta’s consistently unchanged silver eyes glanced at Fang Hong.

Fang Hong looked at the joking crowd, already understanding everyone’s decision. Deep in his heart, an idea suddenly intertwined:

He had the best team, not at all inferior to Miss Sicape’s ’Morning Dawn Star’.

It was still very small, but someday it would grow strong.

He looked at Hilveld, and Miss Ship’s Officer also returned a smiling gaze.

...

Aierna looked at these people, feeling they were not quite the same as those she had met before. Sincere, cherishing friendship, compared to those fleeting Holy Choosers she had dealt with, these people seemed to have more of a breath called ’humanity’.

”Ade,” she then spoke, ”The spies of the Colin Royal Family are pervasive, you offended them, still be careful.”

Fang Hong turned back to look at this Chairwoman, feeling slightly surprised. The other represented the Artisan Association, which was also part of the official Colin Ishurian power; they had killed a Royal Household’s secret spy, an act tantamount to rebellion, and yet she still stood by them?

”Although this is Istania, the Colin Royal Family still has some influence here, you mustn’t be complacent.” Lady Giant Spirit hesitated for a moment before saying, ”I will try my best to suppress the news for you for a while, but when those people return, it might not be possible.”

”Lady Aierna, you...”

Aierna gently shook her head, ”I just think you’re not bad people, and I’ve also heard about the actions of that Prime Minister. Actually, if the Grand Princess values you, you might not even need my help.”

Fang Hong felt a little touched, ”Thank you, Lady Aierna, it’s just a pity that the promise to help you study the Fairy Master affairs might be postponed for a while.”

Aierna appeared quite carefree at this moment, indifferent, ”There will be plenty of opportunities in the future. By the way, Ade, what you performed earlier...?”

”Yes, Lady Aierna, that was Ancient Alchemy. It was taught to me by Mr. Anluose.”

Aierna looked at the Construct Sea Monster behind Fang Hong.

”You are exceptionally talented, it’s a pity those in Colin Ishurian don’t see it, but don’t forget your origins, Ade.”

”Certainly, I will always be an Alchemist from Kapuka, always belonging to the Third District.”

Aierna nodded at this, looking at the Construct Sea Monster, ”So if it’s important to you, take it with you. As for the Guild’s resources, I’ll think of another way...”

Previously, Fang Hong had heard from the middle-aged craftsman about some things concerning this newly-appointed Chairwoman and understood that she was not well-off. His heart was even more moved.

”Lady Aierna.”

”It’s Sister Aierna,” Aierna corrected him, making a joke on this basis, ”If you become famous in the future, I can bask in a little of your glory too. Alright, Ade, I have something to leave for. If you have any unsolvable issues in the future, come find me—”

With that, she looked around this place again and then walked out the door.

”A decent person.” Atira said, watching the back of the departing Aierna.

Fang Hong completely agreed.

...

About half an hour later, the group finally met the arriving Abed.

Two ’Biergo’ Beasts of Burden stopped one after another outside the ’Sand Lodge’. These wingless dragons living on the wasteland were tall and sturdy, covered with thick tannish scales. A mute servant brought a soft stool, and with the help of another mute servant, Abed stepped on the stool and came down from the satin soft seat.

Today, Abed wore a plaid-patterned soft-cloth robe. Underneath his black curly hair, his eyes, like a desert peregrine falcon, first glanced around before looking at the crowd. He was evidently informed of the happening here before arriving, and without much ado, he said in a low voice:

”Come with me; the Princess wants to see you.”

”Mr. Abed,” Fang Hong stepped forward, speaking.

Abed raised a thin, emaciated finger and placed it on his lips, signaling them to speak cautiously.

Seeing this, Fang Hong seemed to sense something, causing his steps to halt.

Abed gestured for them to leave. Of the two ’Biergo,’ one was prepared for them. This tall beast of burden’s broad back could carry seven or eight people, and its wide feet were advantageous for walking on the sand, making it the true ’desert ship’ of Istania.

Tianlan and Gita had never ridden on a ’Biergo’ before. The two young girls were extremely curious about being on the back of such a beast, occasionally touching the scales on the back of the wingless dragon or its large, umbrella-like bony plates similar to those of a ceratopsid.
