Pillar of Yita

When these matters are concluded, it will be time for him to depart from Colin Ishurian. He will follow the trade winds southward, passing through the Giant Tree Hill, reaching Far South Continent Guda Suoke, and from there seek opportunities to step onto the First Continental Bridge.

The Forest listened to his response but didn’t care about it, only saying: ”I’ve heard that first-rate Adventure Groups, apart from Floating Ships, also have support teams on the ground, because even a ship group that sails the four seas needs a base.”

He paused: ”Furthermore, the Seven Seas Traveler probably can’t accommodate Mr. Greyrock, so what are you going to do with it? If you plan to leave it here, then next time when you return, you’ll have to come back to Istania. Although Tansnier is one of the busiest ports of Istania, but this part south of the Silver Sand Sea isn’t on Colin Ishurian’s main shipping route, if you have to return here each time, it will be very time-consuming.”

Fang Hong was struck by this analysis.

About how to handle Mr. Greyrock, the team indeed discussed it many times. Although the simplest way is to transfer and sell Mr. Greyrock directly, which is the easiest and most effortless way. However, this proposal was unanimously opposed within the team.

After all, after a year of adventure, Mr. Greyrock accompanied most of the team from Elpaxin all the way, three hundred plus days and nights, the group no longer sees it as just a simple Beast of Burden, more so, as a member of the Seven Seas Travel Group.

How could they sell a team member to others?

Yet, the Seven Seas Traveler is destined not to take Mr. Greyrock. The only method, as the Forest says, is to leave it at the Beast Pens in Tansnier and have someone look after it. But firstly, renting large beast pens for long term, and hiring someone to look after it, costs a lot of money.

The team’s funds are not very ample and adding such an extra expense makes it even harder to sustain.

Secondly, as the Forest mentioned, if they have to return to Tansnier every time, going back and forth would waste a lot of time.

Fang Hong listened to the Forest’s words, and involuntarily fell into contemplation, after a long time, he raised his head and looked at the opposite party, asking: ”Is everyone suggesting that you will look after Mr. Greyrock?”

”Yes,” the Forest nodded: ”If we join the Seven Seas Travel Group as a subordinate team, Ade can consider us as logistic personnel for the Seven Seas Travel Group, and Mr. Greyrock is originally the property of the Seven Seas Travel Group, so it’s only natural for us to look after it.”

”When the Seven Seas Traveler needs to go somewhere, Ade, you only need to tell us in advance, we can take Mr. Greyrock and rendezvous with you. This is like putting eggs in two baskets, it’s safer and more proper.”

Fang Hong was completely convinced by the opposite party.

Admittedly, this is a very good proposal.

However, this would make the Forest and others akin to the second group members of the Seven Seas Travel Group—although being part of the second group isn’t much, unfortunately, the Seven Seas Travel Group is such a new team, asking the Forest to be peripheral logistic members makes Fang Hong feel somewhat odd.

He couldn’t help but speak: ”But...”

But the Forest interrupted him: ”Ade, we also have our own thoughts on this, both Silver Weslan and Descendants of Flor have high hopes for you, even though we don’t have much insight into understanding people, we can at least see this clearly. Moreover, we’ve personally experienced your story in Dulun and Fanric, we see a potential future for the Seven Seas Travel Group, that’s why we choose this route—”

Fang Hong thought for a moment: ”But currently, the Seven Seas Travel Group’s relationship with the Super Competitive League and Descendants of Flor is at its worst, possibly facing retaliation from both, you haven’t considered this?”

The Forest smiled: ”Actually, this is precisely our consideration, and is also the original intention of the ’alliance’ founded by the Tabopolis Oak Knights. We experienced the dissolution of the Southern Region Alliance firsthand, and this pain pushed us towards this path.”

Upon hearing this, Fang Hong fell silent.

He looked at the opposite party, not yet decided, only nodded: ”Let me consider further.”

The Forest nodded, no longer countered, perhaps having seen his concerns. As joiners, they naturally do not need to worry so much, only their intentions. But as a Captain, one must consider whether he can take up this responsibility.

Yet, it is precisely this point that has led them to make a decision.

A leader willing to take responsibility for the members is sometimes far more important than the Captain’s own abilities.

Fang Hong stood from his place, glanced at everyone sitting and setting their gaze upon him, in fact not every gaze was filled with trust, besides the Forest, among most there was doubt.

But another scenario arose in his mind—

It was many years ago.

In a clearing within a forest, a group of people, almost holding the same doubts and confidence, established such an organization—today, this organization no longer exists, but its name still echoes like thunder. The original members even inherited the first title given to Free Summoners after the Stargate Era:

Pioneer.

The so-called V.E.M, East Commonwealth and Southern Alliance, are merely continuations of that distant history.

He felt some sentiment—not for himself, but for Red Leaf, Yugudola, and people like the Chairman of Tabopolis, perhaps back then, it was people like them who pioneered the era of Chosen brave to explore and forge ahead.

And now, it’s the same kind of people trying to reclaim past glory.

He took a gentle breath, though unsure if these efforts would last, yet to experience it firsthand was his fortune. He missed the Stargate Era, missed the Pioneer Era, but at least he didn’t miss Mount Holy Pact, didn’t miss the Free Summoner’s Alliance.

Although the ’Seven Seas Travel Group’ is still very weak, there is hope in participating.

Fang Hong clenched his fist slightly, though he didn’t directly respond, he already had an answer in his heart.

Then—

He heard a scream.

”That crocodile head really moved—!”

A Papalarian jumped three meters high from his position, pointing at the quietly immobile crocodile head, shouting incoherently.
