Pillar of Yita

Although Salrutaka was also a marginal deity among the Sun Gods, it had at least made a name for itself in history, while many such lesser gods had long since perished with their names and existences in the torrents of history.

The appearance of this Holy Temple on the outskirts of the core area also seemed to confirm this.

His decision to settle here was not impulsive, but because this area was scattered with many such architectural clusters of varying sizes, and the complex terrain was well suited for escape.

It seemed somewhat reckless for him to draw away the claws of Toragotos alone, but it was not an impetuous act. Miss Sicape used to tease him for liking to act on intuition, but Fang Hong knew his intuition wasn’t a heat-of-the-moment affair—it was grounded in knowledge and experience.

Before he moved, he had already envisioned an escape route and had it verified once by the Clockwork Fairy. If nothing unexpected happened, this direction should both lead away the claws of Toragotos and offer a chance to escape.

Plans were plans, of course, but to ensure everything went smoothly, a perfect execution was needed. However, as an Invoker, how could he lack even that bit of self-confidence?

He looked up at the sky once more.

The remaining dragons seemed to have learned their lesson, not daring to approach him easily anymore, but still circling at a safe distance. Seeing their golden-red eyes, Fang Hong understood that these creatures had not given up; they were just commanding their claws in the shadows.

The claws of the Dragon were converging from all directions.

At this moment, Dianmo Ran Qingzhu’s voice came through the channel, ”Boss, those monsters are after you; we’ve broken through towards Light’s Bridge.”

Fang Hong responded and turned the camera lens slightly. By narrowing the vision of the Clockwork Fairy in the sky, he clearly observed that from his position as the center, enemies were swarming towards him from all directions.

In fact, the first group of the Dragon’s claws had already appeared in the alleys not far away. Nearly every one of the island’s Dragon’s claws had dragon wings, giving them the ability to fly, so as soon as they spotted Fang Hong, they immediately spread their wings and flew towards him.

Seeing this, Fang Hong didn’t hesitate. He turned and leaped, jumping onto the roof of a more low-lying building. Dealing with one or two Dragon’s claws wasn’t impossible for him, but at this time, given the choice, he would prefer to run rather than stay and fight.

However, this move made the others sweat coldly for him. Through the view from above, everyone saw a small squad of the Dragon’s claws converging directly in Fang Hong’s direction.

”Be careful!”

On the Golande plaza, even the townsfolk couldn’t help but shout out.

They were afraid Fang Hong hadn’t seen the ambush and would charge straight into it.

Although the previous interlude had made most people smile, even alleviating the tense atmosphere somewhat, and everyone thought the Commander of the Silver Weslan had a bit of a comedic attribute, this affability made everyone feel a fondness for him at this moment. Moreover, his performance earlier had been stunning, and no one wished for the youth to end his journey here.

In the Chairman’s office of the Colin Ishurian Artisan Association, the acting Chairman Phales Copper Bay was pressing hard on the desk watching the scene, muttering incessantly and cursing the Court Sorcerers who were late with their spells.

”Those damn pampered imbeciles, they only delay things—!”

His assistant stood shivering by his side.

But the acting Chairman didn’t believe Fang Hong would blindly rush into the ambush.

Being an outstanding Combat Artisan himself, he knew they were watching the scene through the opponent’s Clockwork Fairy, so how could the opponent not be aware?

And indeed, that was the case—as soon as Fang Hong landed, he had already spotted the Dragon’s claws. But this direction was essential for his route, and the enemy was relatively sparse here. Taking a detour might not have been a wise choice.

Of course, breaking through required certain skills.

Without a second thought, Fang Hong dashed into a narrow alley. As the Dragon’s claws lost their target, they followed without hesitation.

Although neither side had lost contact, they had lost sight of each other’s position, yet Fang Hong could judge the enemies’ positions through the Clockwork Fairy—seven Dragon’s claws in total, three in front and four behind. They spread out to chase him, indicating that no matter which direction he went in, it would be difficult to escape their encirclement.

Luckily, Fang Hong hadn’t planned on escaping. He raised his right hand to launch the Flying Claw, leaping onto the roof of another building. With the augmentation of his strength, his climbing ability improved greatly in this situation, enabling him to easily leap between buildings.

Before the eyes of the onlookers, he had already ended up behind those three Dragon’s claws, while the other four would still need time to converge from another direction.

To others, it seemed he could take the opportunity to run some distance and then try to get out of there afterward.

But Fang Hong had already assessed the situation in his mind. The Dragon’s claws had the ability to fly; escaping under their watch wasn’t going to be easy. Even if it were possible, he didn’t have the time.

He needed to carve a bloody path in the shortest time possible; only then did his escape plan stand a chance of success.
