Pillar of Yita

The Artisan Competition that was only halfway through,

now seems destined to become an eternal memory of Traveler’s Rest.

But Hudi had just prepared to speak when, at this very moment, the large Transmission Crystal standing in the center of the hall next to him suddenly lit up, projecting an image that fell in front of everyone. A somewhat serious voice came from within.

”Please, everyone, pay attention. We are interrupting to bring urgent news—”

As soon as the other party’s voice faded, the projected image changed, causing everyone to be taken aback.

But someone quickly and keenly recognized the location displayed on the screen, ”Wait, isn’t that Fenris Isle?”

A chorus of sharp intakes of breath.

Because no one could believe that the island disintegrating on the screen could be the kingdom’s Fenris Isle—everyone, including Hudi, realized something in that instant. Every Invoker, without exception, made the same move: opening their community board and searching for related content.

Soon, a video heavily disturbed and shaking badly came into everyone’s view.

The scene showed, amidst deafening roars, fissures spreading and cracking open across the ground, stalactites falling, and sand cascading down like waterfalls, while those cities suspended above the abyss began to tilt and break apart slowly.

People within the ruins were frantically scattering in terror, seeking anything they could cling to. Some fell into the dark abyss along with streets that were nearly vertical; others, struck by tumbling stones, were not spared either.

Only a few lucky ones managed to quickly climb to the highest points, but they too looked down in despair to see the pillars beneath the ruins crumble, slowly dragging the tilting city with them into the abyss.

When the last frame was swallowed by darkness, the shaky scene was frantically pulled back to show a somewhat pale face of a young person in the center, who was shouting desperately in one direction,

”The relics behind us are gone, Chairman; we can’t return this way, and the Undead are attacking from above, what do we do?”

Another violent shake.

It appeared the young individual had fallen, but someone quickly pulled him up.

”Yuanfan, take Kalie and get out of here; we will stay behind to cover your escape,” a voice, calm and reassuring as if filled with innate strength, continued, ”Kalie is a Native; we don’t mind dying here, we still have a home to return to—but his sister is still waiting for him to come back!”

”Chairman!”

The shaking scene revealed a face of a determined man.

He seemed somewhat indifferent.

Next to him, a bloodied young man was vigorously shaking his head, ”Guys, I can’t leave you behind, I swore an oath before the Goddess—are we not brothers? What does it matter that I’m a Native, I’m no different from you, Chairman!”

”Alright, Kalie,” the man sighed, ”If you die here, what about your blind sister? Have you forgotten why you joined us?”

The camera shook again.

Someone in the background seemed to shout, ”Watch out, they’re coming from behind! It’s the Undead, they’re everywhere!”

”Those sons of bitches from Jiefulite, they’ve trapped us here on purpose!”

Only then did the frantic scene switch back.

In the darkness, on the sloping streets, countless Undead were surging forward, clawing and gnashing teeth; although the increasingly shattered relics caused many of them to fall into the abyss, these dark beings seemed not to notice and continued their crazed assault—a pale wave approaching.

”We can’t escape!” cried the owner of the camera, taking a frightened step back.

Instead, the bloodied young man let out a bitter laugh, ”Looks like I can’t leave either, Chairman.” His words carried an air of resignation.

The man glanced at him, sighed, and shook his head, drawing his sword, ”Then let us fight until the last moment— at least, not die at the hands of these Undead.”

Another fierce shake followed.

With tearing roars, deep within the abyss of the screen, golden cracks emerged, revealing flowing molten lava—the heart of the continent, the ’blood’ of Fenris Isle, finally bursting forth from the wound below.

And under the dazzling light, the tide of the Undead had already drawn near.

The master of the scene had only exchanged blows with one of the Corpse Ghosts a few times before being tackled to the ground by a Hell Hound next to him, which opened its rot-filled maw, its white, sharp teeth biting down in the vision.

Everyone in the Dragon Horn Hall couldn’t help but let out a gasp.

But it was at this moment,

that a streak of silver light suddenly flew through the darkness, a long spear tearing through the air and sending the hound flying, pinning it hard against the nearby rock wall, unable to move.

The master of the scene was stunned for a moment, then shakily sat up, first glancing at the spear before turning the vision to another direction. Only to see in the scene that the mass of Undead surged like waves, suddenly rising and flying into the air, as a large Lizardman forcefully carved a path through the sea of the Undead.

Behind it,

was a silvery radiance.

It was the Paladins in their silver helms and silver armor, standing side by side, loudly calling forth their Paradise Steeds and raising their long spears, their entire bodies shining with a sacred light, attacking from behind the Undead in the midst of darkness.

Though there were only about twenty knights, they had the momentum of an overwhelming force.

The master of the scene watched this scene in a daze.

Suddenly, someone shouted loudly, ”It’s the people of Silver Weslan, we are saved!”

This might be the hope in despair—reviving these people as if they had grasped a life-saving straw.

But were they truly saved?

Everyone in the Dragon Horn Hall remained silent; the words Silver Weslan weighed heavily in their hearts, but could so few really stand against so many Undead? Among them, only Hudi frowned slightly.

Because he seemed to have heard a familiar voice.

”Marlan’s Staff is ready to engage—”

”Request for Class A2 Spells to enter the field.”

That voice answered briefly and forcefully, ”Permission granted.”

In the darkness, two flickering blue lights were unfolding.

Two supremely elegant Energy Angels opened a Light Gate each, one before and one behind the tall Lizardman, coming into view of everyone, but amidst their astonished gazes, the youth who appeared between them was the true source of their shock.

Because on his face was a Silver Mask they all knew too well.

”Ah, is that...!?”

Someone suddenly cried out, ”Wait, look at that mask, isn’t that Xiaya?”

”Really, the hero of Dolifen?”

”But how is he in Fenris?”

Hudi also paused for a moment.

And Fang Hong stood in the center of the Undead sea, raising her hand high.

At this moment, at the southern foot of the Green Dragon Mountain Range—

Tianlan looked up, and under her sparkling gaze, the starlight above the firmament suddenly plummeted, falling from the ninth heaven, going straight toward the center of the range—and that direction.

Was exactly where Saint Peru Valley was located.
