Pillar of Yita

The knights on the screen formed a torrent, crashing into the monsters’ formation, and at that moment, a wave of exclamations rose and fell throughout Golande Harbor — in the Iris Palace, the little princesses couldn’t help but cover their eyes with their hands.

But the claws of the dragon failed to halt the young knights’ fearless charge.

In the first clash, they were pushed back; the defense line was shattered as if it were rotting wood, with the knights acting as an unstoppable sword, cleaving through the sturdy black barricade. ”Ah, they are too young!” someone suddenly shouted, but it drew a series of unfriendly gazes, causing the speaker to shrink back.

Inside the Royal Palace, the nobles of Colin Ishurian also furrowed their brows, appearing somewhat uneasy.

Compared with the commoners outside, they certainly understood the purpose behind these young people’s actions, but the use of such tactics so early still made them anxious.

”The ’Outsiders’’ Campaign Spells have too low an accuracy; only two shots hit the target point,” someone remarked.

”So when can our Court Mages be ready with their magic?”

”Not sure, Fenris’ upheaval has already affected the magic channels.”

The nobles buzzed with discussion.

”Overload Tactics!” At the Traveler’s Rest, someone finally recognized what these knights of Silver Weslan were doing; they had put their Magic Guided Reactors straight into Overload State, and with Burst Strength fully unleashed, it’s no wonder that the monsters struggled to withstand even a single blow.

But having used the Overload Tactics so early, what would they do afterward?

However, that was a common thought among those outside the battlefield. For those Silver Weslan people engaged in the fierce combat, they had no such concerns in their minds; they only felt that their first wave of charge had worked well and had successfully carved a path forward.

”The level of these Dragon’s minions is about 16, not too high,” Virus reported a string of data calmly over the channel: ”But compared to those we encountered before, they’ve grown stronger; be careful.”

The number of monsters was so great that the gap they had just opened looked like it would ’heal’ itself at any moment.

Fang Hong, amidst the crowd, had no time to think too much and shouted, ”Turn right, open a path between the three streets, fast, maintain speed, don’t slow down, cover for the Cloth Armor Class.”

KUN’s voice was much calmer than his.

He was responsible for refining the orders, directing every squad to do what they were supposed to do.

After the young knights breached a gap in the horde, they immediately turned to the right, where a towering pyramid blocked the path, preventing the Dark Giant Dragon’s minions from gathering too much force there.

But at that moment, the system issued a warning; the Overload time was almost over, and the Magic Guided Reactor was entering a state of over-operation, its Output Power would even drop to less than half before the cooling duration was reached.

”Coolant!”

It was then that Xi, leading the way, looked back at her group and issued an order, including Dianmo and Ran Qingzhu, everyone took out a brownish Crystal and attached it to the Magic Guided Reactor, then tilted their heads back and downed a bottle of pale yellow elixir.

Coolant and Holy Power Elixir, the former was a masterpiece of Alchemists, while the latter was a product of Magic Potion Studies, common consumables at the advanced stage, but to prefix both types of potions with something that reduced the required level, that took the skill of a Master Artisan.

To guzzle down Master Level potions like water, not to mention dozens of people doing so in unison, such an act could only be a national gesture.

The military’s supply delivery was making an impact at this moment.

It was a pity that only one supply drop had been successful in the first round, and most of it had fallen into the lava below, with only a small portion remaining. There was no help for it, long-distance teleporting was inherently imprecise, and the terrain below was considerably fierce.

Fang Hong calculated the remaining supplies in his mind. He was not very lucky; all the supplies related to Combat Artisans delivered by the military had been lost, but fortunately, Ambassador Liao told him that the Colin Ishurian Artisan Association was preparing a solution, intending to make a few more supply drops ahead.

”Covering advance with Explosive Shot!”

”Clear the path.”

Including those Survivors, several Crossbowmen stopped at the same time, unfolded their Magic Guided Crossbows, and the energy Crystals on the crossbows instantly lit up.

”Three, two, one!”

”Fire!”

A volley of bright Light Arrows was shot into the sky, followed by a series of explosions. With the Magic Guided Reactor in Overload State, the crossbows were charged with an increased flow of Magic Power, resulting in Explosive Crossbow Bolts with satisfying ranges and detonation accuracy under such conditions.

Although Dragon’s minions kept coming ceaselessly, they needed time to regenerate, and Explosive Crossbow Bolts were known as one of the most powerful skills below Level 15; naturally, their effect when fired in a concentrated volley was extraordinary, and soon a path emerged through the smoke.

And KUN’s cool voice once again commanded over the channel.

”Each squad, initiate Overload State again!”

The Magic Guided Reactors that had just cooled down lit up once more within moments.

Amidst exclamations of surprise, the knights formed a wedge formation again and charged down the path that had been opened. In just a moment, they had pierced through the small rock pillar island and reached the other side of the ruins.

The second Light Bridge was close at hand.

Everyone was somewhat out of breath but thrilled beyond measure because the first island — had been successfully crossed, proving that these Dragon’s minions could not stop their advance. Fang Hong took out a pocket watch from his chest, opened the lid, and looked down; the hand had just passed one and a half circles of time.

One and a half minutes.

Accounting for the time previously wasted, there was about seventeen minutes left.

He looked up again at the path ahead.

Was there still time?
