Pillar of Yita

There were some strange claw marks distributed around.

From within the darkness came a piercing shriek, followed by the rise of a massive pair of wings stretching open atop the highest pyramid. A horned creature with a form similar to that of a dragon revealed itself—but it was nearly impossible to describe this entity with the word ’dragon.’ It had seven golden-red eyes, asymmetrically arranged on what could barely be called its head.

Its body was shrouded in black mist that seemed to cascade down from the pyramid like a waterfall, and within the mist revealed a creature covered in grotesque, spiky protrusions. It still retained some semblance of the giant dragon it once might have been.

But it looked more like a monstrosity from a nightmare.

Subsequent screams came one after another from the isolated island, as pairs of wings rose from the ruins. In total, there were seven dragons, undoubtedly the ’siblings’ of Toragogtos, but now they had fallen and become twisted beings—hardly recognizable as dragons anymore.

Even Fang Hong was not sure if they could still be considered Dark Giant Dragons, at least they looked very different from Nikopolas.

”Do they have any weaknesses?”

Fang Hong turned back to ask the Night Lizardman beside Telaric.

But the Night Lizardman—Salrutaka shook his head, casting a somewhat disdainful glance at them: ”Although they have betrayed me, these were my servants. You are far too weak.”

”If that’s the case,” Fang Hong replied, ”then prepare to die, Salrutaka.”

The Lizardman gritted his teeth as he looked at him. It was hard to imagine a deity displaying such a human-like expression, likely influenced by the Night Lizardman it possessed. But after a while, he still said, ”You’re too weak. Their weaknesses mean nothing to you. Their weakness is the eyes on their heads, the Dragon’s Golden Eyes.”

”Such a waste of words, only the last part was necessary,” Although temporarily cooperating with this Lizardman deity, it didn’t mean Fang Hong agreed with it or its actions of deceiving its own followers. Its schemes were no more noble than Toragogtos’s, ”Dragon’s Golden Eyes—you call these things Dark Giant Dragons? But they don’t look much like it, Salrutaka. Is it because your power is too weak to grant them the perfect Dark Force?”

The remark seemed to hit a sore spot for Salrutaka, who snorted lightly, seemingly too contemptuous to answer the question.

But Fang Hong took note of this detail, waiting for just this reaction.

This reaction confirmed an idea in his mind; the matter of the Dark Giant Dragons was not as simple as he had imagined.

Meanwhile, Fang Hong was also giving out orders in the channel of Silver Weslan: ”Take the Dragon Strength Potion, Dark Resistance Potion. Switch the Magic Guided Conductor to the Dragon Strike Attribute plugin. Archers prepare the Wind Crystals. On my command, create a Turbulent Zone. Crossbowmen to siege mode. Fix the Chain Spears, and front-line professions get ready with the Great Shield—move forward one step—”

He raised his hand up; all eyes were already on him awaiting his command, especially given that facing a Giant Dragon was an inherently terrifying situation. Seeing his gesture, everyone instinctively stopped.

A row of Great Shields were erected on the Light Bridge, and Magic Guided Heavy Crossbows opened up to rest on the ground—warriors had been carrying the bases and Chain Spears on their backs and now took them down to mount on the Crossbow Machine, along with the siege mode attachments like the Main Crystal Device and the cooling mechanism, making it look like a miniature artillery battery.

The first Dark Giant Dragon quickly dived down, screeching. Of course, it couldn’t get close to the Light Bridge, but that didn’t prevent it from sweeping over the bridge and spitting out a beam of black light, which was indeed a Negative Energy Breath.

The dragon wasn’t huge, to say nothing of Toragogtos, who had achieved the Ancient Body State. Among these seven Dark Giant Dragons, it wasn’t a standout, barely qualifying as a young dragon. Its breath hit the Great Shields, and immediately, three or four people fell.

At the right moment, Fang Hong waved his hand, and rangers shot their arrows. The dragon tried to blow the arrows back as it twisted in mid-air and flapped its wings, causing serious trouble even if not inflicting casualties.

Dragons have always sat at the top of Eteliria’s food chain, known for their strength in various legends and stories. Even having fallen to such a state, they still retained the power from their previous lives.

But Fang Hong remained calm, commanding, ”One hundred and thirty feet ahead, ten feet above the enemy, Wind Crystals.”

Another volley of arrows flew.

The dragon tried the same trick again, but before it could flap its wings, the arrows suddenly exploded to its left and right. The air currents from the Wind Crystals instantly stirred up a Turbulent Zone in the sky.

Dragons were never famous for their agility; a Turbulent Zone was just as lethal to them, especially since these Dark Giant Dragons had lost the ability to cast spells.

Older and larger dragons might have been able to power through the Turbulent Zone, but this young one certainly couldn’t. It screamed in the turbulence, struggling to maintain flight, but its altitude rapidly decreased. Fang Hong didn’t hesitate; he immediately commanded the crossbowmen to shoot the Chain Spears, which struck the dragon accurately and dragged it towards the ground.

In this place, Fang Hong had plenty of hands to assist. A young dragon’s strength meant little against dozens, if not hundreds of people, and it was quickly pulled onto the Light Bridge. The moment it touched the bridge, a blinding burst of light and heat flashed.

The Giant Dragon screamed, its body seemed to shrink by a third, the black smoke cleared revealing a rugged body, and both wings were completely ablaze. No longer capable of flight, it crashed through the Light Bridge and plunged into the lava below.
