Pillar of Yita

But the injured Corpse Executioner collapsed to the ground, still using its hands to drag its massive body, ferociously lunging in this direction, with hands bent like hooks, seemingly about to pierce through Red Leaf’s neck.

However, the latter seemed to have little experience dealing with high-rank Undead, not expecting this at all, and, scared out of her wits, she rolled backward in a clumsy manner, just avoiding the fatal blow.

Fortunately, a Papalarian Crossbowman nearby lifted up his Crossbow, and with one arrow, hit the monster’s lower jaw; the arrow stuck in its throat, shattering its cervical bones. The phosphorescence in the Undead’s eye sockets flashed once before its head tilted and fell, completely losing its ability to move.

Red Leaf got up from the ground with lingering fear in her heart.

The Papalarian generously extended a hand to her and, while feeling proud, reminded her, ”Don’t lose focus, tall miss. Undead are driven by Negative Energy, and what appear to be serious injuries to them may not be fatal. When fighting them, make sure they completely lose their ability to move.”

”How do you know this?” Tianlan was very surprised at the time.

”Ha, I’m an expert on Undead issues.”

”An expert on Undead issues?”

”Sanxiak’s notoriously infamous tomb raider,” Atira supplied the answer for him.

Elsewhere, Xiesta also faced a Corpse Executioner, and Gita, hugging her ’Magic Guided Book’, looked extremely nervous and worried.

Of course, she knew that the former’s Level was not nearly as high as these Undead.

But it turned out that such concern was unnecessary.

The Miss Maid raised both hands, firing two Wind Bullets in quick succession from left to right across the hall, causing the Corpse Executioner to pause its advance to defend. Seizing the opportunity, she took a quick step forward, raised her right hand, and the metal cheek pieces on her Arm Armor opened up to discharge a whirlwind. She delivered a right hook punch that struck the Corpse Executioner’s scythe.

The massive force of the impact made the Undead stagger, tilting backward—

And before that, Xiesta had already stepped past it, placing a leg behind it to trip it. The Corpse Executioner toppled backward, and with the leg that tripped it as a pivot, she turned and delivered an extremely swift spinning kick, squarely hitting the Corpse Executioner’s head.

With a crack, she kicked it flying, and it tumbled far away.

Only then did she turn around stylishly, retracting her leg, with her dress fluttering behind her, as the Corpse Executioner’s body heavily crashed to the ground.

However, the dark creature driven by Negative Energy struggled to get up, but from the darkness, a gunshot rang out, and a streak of golden light already pierced through its spine, leaving it completely paralyzed on the ground.

After observing the effect of the attack, Hilveld sheathed her Magic Guided Gun. The coordination between mistress and servant was clearly not the first time they had worked together like this.

However, it was the first time for the Tabopolis Knights to witness such a scene, and they couldn’t help but whistle in admiration. A beautiful lady naturally gains men’s favor, and when she possesses extraordinary abilities, it only makes her all the more attractive.

In fact, even Fang Hong was somewhat surprised.

It was only now that he understood Xiesta’s profession—a Fighter. This type of profession requires close combat, and among melee professions, it’s considered one of the most dangerous. Those with extreme confidence in their own abilities are rare even among the Chosen.

Not to mention it was a woman who appeared so delicate and fragile.

Red Leaf also looked at the mistress and servant with some surprise. During their time at the Traveler’s Rest, they had never shown such strength. But she was still somewhat annoyed as she looked at the others and angrily said, ”Are you all that idle? Keep pushing forward; the Undead are about to break in again!”

The Knights then laughed and joked as they reformed their formation.

Meanwhile, Recall had already singled out the remaining Corpse Executioners with her arrows.

Thus, along with those previously inside the City Hall, the last Chief Praetor of Dolifen, Declan Groselle’s executioners were hereby dismissed.

At this moment, the still intact skeletons scattered around the hall began to wobble and rise from the ground, and scattered figures of Undead started appearing at the door.

Realizing that time was of the essence, the group hurriedly rushed through the hall, but as soon as they stepped outside, they were greeted by a shower of bullets.

Bullets fell like raindrops all around, and the Knights quickly raised their Square Shields, with a clinking and clanging sound, but there were still many injuries and falls. Fang Hong himself was shot in the left arm in the first volley, and a bright red blood immediately flowed out.

Due to the rush of adrenaline, he almost didn’t feel the pain and pressed the wound with his hand, only to realize it was just a graze. But glancing at his own state, he had lost more than a third of his life, which made Fang Hong’s brow twitch—indicating that their attackers were no low levels.

Fang Hong immediately understood that they had encountered Guild assailants from Dragonfire when he saw those in the forest. The first person he spotted was the overbearing Big Sister, followed by that assassin who had previously crossed paths with him at the Traveler’s Rest and ended up being fooled into becoming a snack for the swamp anglerfish.

Flanking them, rows of Gunslingers—one kneeling, the other standing—were positioned within the woods, about twenty to thirty people. The muzzles flashed, and a second volley of bullets flew towards them.

Under attack, the Tabopolis Knights retreated in a panic, and amidst the chaos, Fang Hong heard a familiar groan—as if someone he knew had been shot. His heart clenched, but his mind only grew colder; searching for the shot individual, he loudly said to the others, ”Don’t retreat, hold your ground!”
