Pillar of Yita

All the money he had earned over the past half year, plus all the items he possessed, probably still wouldn’t amount to half the price of this Magic Guided Reactor. Not to mention the rest, if someone in Morning Dawn Star spent tens of thousands to buy a Magic Guided Reactor, that kind of squandering behavior would probably result in Miss Sicape beating them to a pulp.

.

”Of course,” Tianlan said proudly, ”You haven’t seen the best of me yet, Brother Ade.”

”Although Miss Fuli does spend money, she indeed knows how to make it too. If only... if only she weren’t so whimsical, in fact, some of her spending is totally unnecessary,” Gita murmured in agreement.

”Hah, what did you say?” Tianlan raised her voice, looking at the latter.

Gita was too scared to speak.

Atira gave her a glare and reiterated, ”Don’t bully Gita.”

Tianlan made a face at her. ”Lalalala...”

Fang Hong gently touched the ’Emerald Bird’ α’s baked blue dome, as well as the silver ivy reliefs along the edges, beneath which were five interfaces arranged in sequence: one large Magic Storage Crystal interface, two medium recharge interfaces, one medium main interface, and one small auxiliary interface.

The shell design of the ’Emerald Bird’ α made this Magic Guided Reactor slightly heavier than the one from the Imperial Workshop, weighing about 2.7 kilograms, but it also brought an increase in durability.

The ’Emerald Bird’s distinguishing feature is its exquisite cooling system, which is a technological advantage Colin Ishurian has over Osh, unmatched in style. It strives for stability and durability, a stark contrast to the aggressive genius designs of the ’Central Nerve’.

Comparing this professional-grade Magic Guided Reactor with his original one, the conclusion was that there was no comparison – the performance had improved by at least three times, also exceeding his original target for a Type II Magic Guided Reactor by fifty percent.

With this equipment, he felt like he was trading a musket for a cannon.

As the most crucial core equipment, the improvement of a Magic Guided Reactor benefits any profession greatly – and Combat Artisans are certainly no exception.

An important indicator for judging the strength of a Combat Artisan is how many Flexible Constructs they can control, but this actually involves two standards.

One is the talent of the Combat Artisan themselves.

The other is the level and equipment of the Combat Artisan.

The talent of the Combat Artisan is of course the fundamental basis, but levels and equipment are equally important.

Level (including skills and knowledge) determines the height and efficiency of the ’calculation’ attribute, which in turn decides the efficiency with which the Summoners System assists in operating Flexible Constructs; the higher the efficiency, the lighter the burden on the Combat Artisan, and without a doubt, they can operate more and more complex Flexible Constructs.

This is just a factor of level, and as for the focus within the equipment, in fact, it lies in the performance of the Magic Guided Reactor.

A basic rule is, the amount of Magic Power output by a Flexible Construct’s Core Crystal is the amount the Combat Artisan must output when operating it. Therefore, the output limit of the Magic Guided Reactor also determines the control limit of the Combat Artisan over the Flexible Constructs.

Like when Fang Hong experimented with five-line operations, but if it were five actual Clockwork Fairies, he actually wouldn’t be able to control them – not because he couldn’t do it, but because his Main Core Crystal wouldn’t support such a high expenditure of Magic Power.

And a more excellent Magic Guided Reactor is not only reflected in the increase of basic attributes, but a variety of interfaces also allows Combat Artisans to use more support Magic Guided Conductor items in combat.

For example, the commonly seen Magic Balance Instrument, which can reduce the Magic Power expenditure of a Combat Artisan when operating Flexible Constructs, effectively increasing the output power of the Magic Guided Reactor.

There’s also the balance compensation construct, which can further enhance the perception and intellectual attributes bonus of the Combat Artisans themselves on the Flexible Constructs. (Note: Non-sentient Flexible Constructs don’t have mental attributes, they utilize the mental attributes bonus of the operator)

Then there is the engineering Shield Generator, which isn’t for the Combat Artisan’s own use but can remotely energize Flexible Constructs that have shields.

There are countless examples like these, where an excellent Magic Guided Reactor multiplies the strength of a Combat Artisan.

”Mr. Ade, may I have a look at it?” Gita asked enviously from the side.

Fang Hong nodded and handed the ’Emerald Bird’ α over with both hands.

Gita took the Magic Guided Reactor, lovingly caressing its beautiful shell with her small hands.

”Be careful with it, that’s nearly forty thousand Lycel,” Tianlan couldn’t help but remind the little boy.

Gita glanced at her weakly, looking very aggrieved. Fang Hong’s face grew a bit hot as he whispered, ”It’s nothing, it’s not that heavy.”

But he actually understood clearly.

The admiration in the other’s eyes wasn’t for the value of the Magic Guided Reactor itself but stemmed from the aspiration for the status of an Official Summoner – tourists could not use such professional Magic Guided Reactors.

Fang Hong could totally empathize with such a sentiment, as he had been in the same shoes.

Because the change in his status had only happened two days ago.

Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but whisper to Gita, ”Actually, one day you’ll use it too, even better ones.”

Gita looked up at him with a bit of surprise, and then nodded vigorously, ”Yeah.”

She lowered her head again and whispered, ”Congratulations, Brother Ade, it’s actually a very excellent Magic Guided Reactor.”

Fang Hong noticed the subtle change in the way she addressed him, and he felt genuinely warmed inside. Although he had known these people for less than a day, the experience unexpectedly made him recall his days in Morning Dawn Star.
