Pillar of Yita

Yes, the Papalarians love life, but they adore fine food, parties, and music even more; a Papalarian without music simply cannot survive.

Their homeland, Sanxiak, is the most festive and bustling place in all of Giant Tree Hill. The laws of the Papalarians dictate that they have over three hundred days a year, a third of which are celebration days. They certainly love to work, but when it comes to festivals, they drop everything, don their finest attire, and join in various banquets.

Of course, this formal attire must include at least one decent hat.

A Papalarian without a hat is incomplete.

They have large pointed ears, cute round faces with a hint of baby fat, smiling eyes, and almost invisible small noses; and even the tallest among them is less than half as tall as Fang Hong, having to tiptoe just to reach the waist of an average person.

However, Papalarians do not like others mocking their short stature — and reportedly, this is one of the reasons they favor wearing tall, grand hats.

They are gentle children, who neither like war nor adventure, and they are afraid of the cold—very afraid and extremely so. Fang Hong had never expected to see a Papalarian here — as it is said they never appear anywhere where it might snow in winter.

But upon closer inspection, he realized that it was the Invoker.

The reason was simple.

The other party didn’t wear a proper hat, had even pinned a pair of wind goggles on his light silver hair. For a Papalarian, this was more than indecent; it was utterly scandalous.

The chubby little hands of the other party held a Heavy Crossbow almost as tall as him, laboriously dragging it to the top of a rock. Facing the relentless advance of the beetles, he kept cranking the handle, pulling the bowstring, squinting one eye, shooting left and right—but one couldn’t feel any murderous intent, instead, he looked rather comical.

Fang Hong really couldn’t understand why anyone would choose a Papalarian for a combat profession, what kind of mindset that would be—this race’s hands were so short they couldn’t even touch their own heads and had only four stubby fingers.

But that guy clearly had his own ideas.

He kept retreating and shooting until his little leather boots finally stepped on the edge of the giant rock.

”Jump.” Fang Hong reminded him inwardly, because not far behind the Papalarian was another giant rock, and he could completely jump onto it to continue shooting.

But the guy actually made a misstep, tumbled backward, let go of his hand, and separated from his Heavy Crossbow, executing a perfect roll in the air.

He fell soundly from the two-meter-high rock, landed spread-eagled, and immediately passed out—of course, a two-meter-high rock might not be much for an ordinary person, but for a Papalarian, it was probably a bit too high.

”Parker!” Fang Hong heard the Female Elf Hunter cry out in urgency.

So the guy’s name was Parker, Fang Hong thought. He was about to command his Walker to rush over to rescue, but suddenly Miss Tata took off, grabbed his hair, and pulled it back.

”Walker, gooo!”

Fang Hong turned to that direction in pain, causing the Walker to rush forward and crash into a tree stump.

”Ta, Miss Tata?”

Fang Hong lifted his head, about to ask what had happened, but as he tilted his head, he saw the other side of the battlefield, where several white feathers were fluttering—and there were even some people hidden beneath them.

Upon seeing this, Fang Hong couldn’t help but feel a surge of courage.
