She Used Me for a Dare… Now I Own Her Mother

Chapter 549: The Silver Veil

The woman in the prime booth held his gaze for one more lingering second before finally turning away, severing the invisible thread between them as casually as blowing out a match.

Alex let out a slow, quiet breath, only now realizing he had been holding it in his chest.

His instincts were screaming. That woman wasn’t just another untouchable beauty in a VIP lounge, and Cole hadn’t spent three weeks making a fool of himself for a pretty face.

’Lilith,’ Alex commanded inwardly, his eyes narrowing through the neon gloom. ’Scan her.’

A crisp blue interface shimmered into existence before his eyes, its light invisible to the room:

[SCAN COMPLETE]

[Name: Violette Valenne]

[Identity: Regional Vice-Director — The Silver Veil]

[Realm: Middle Stage — Ascended Realm]

[Affiliation: Silver Veil Intelligence Network]

[Threat Assessment: Very High]

The panel dissolved, but the realization hit Alex with the force of a hammer.

The Silver Veil.

The entire puzzle snapped together with terrifying clarity. The Silver Veil didn’t sell girls or entertain wealthy socialites; they were the most ruthless, secretive information network, trading strictly in classified archives and political blackmail.

Cole wasn’t here because he was infatuated. An Ascended Realm monster who spent five years quietly sharpening his fangs in the dark was starving for one thing: answers. He was trying to buy the classified files that ordinary money couldn’t touch... the names of the people who murdered his son, and the location of his missing daughter-in-law.

Alex looked down at his lap. Naomi was looking up at him, her dark eyes glittering with sharp, triumphant mockery.

Sitting flush against him, her Enhanced senses had caught every micro-spasm: the hitch in his lungs, the stiffening of his thighs, and the way his fingers had frozen inside her.

To her, the puzzle was simple. The news she had delivered had struck right at his pride. The dangerous predator who thought he was the center of a high-stakes game had just realized his grand target didn’t even care enough to scheme against him.

She tilted her head, pressing her lips so close to the tense angle of his jaw that her breath brushed his skin.

”What’s the matter, darling?” she murmured, her voice dripping with venomous amusement as she tossed his own pet name right back into his teeth. ”Not used to being looked down on like that? Or are you about to start groveling for her attention, just like that old pervert down there?”

Alex didn’t flinch. A slow, dark amusement rose in his chest as he looked at this smug woman, who genuinely believed she held all the cards. She had no idea who was in that booth. She had no idea her ”perverted” boss was an Ascended cultivator preparing for a bloodbath. And she had no idea just how expendable she really was.

Slowly, the predator in him reasserted itself, the shock fading beneath a cool, calculating mask.

”Not at all,” Alex murmured, a lazy smirk curving his lips as he tightened his hold on her hip. ”If anything, Cole’s carelessness turned out to be a blessing. He wasted my time, but he left behind something far better to keep my hands full. And I’m going to thoroughly enjoy his gift, darling.”

Before she could even register the threat, his hand shifted beneath her dress. With deliberate, ruthless pressure, he pushed a second finger past her slick entrance, stretching her tight, over-sensitized core.

Naomi’s breath hitched violently. Her jaw parted to tear out a desperate cry, but before the sound could escape her throat, Alex surged upward and captured her lips.

The scream died instantly inside her mouth, smothered beneath the fierce heat of his kiss.

He didn’t give her a single second to recover. His mouth slanted over hers with bruising authority, parting her lips wider to drive his tongue inside. It was an absolute takeover. He swept through the velvet warmth of her mouth, demanding, hot, and unrelenting, tangling with her tongue while his fingers buried deep inside her began to move.

A breathless jolt tore through Naomi’s entire nervous system. Her mind went completely blank, the overwhelming rush of sensation hitting her with the force of a tidal wave.

She was being invaded from every side, completely stripped of control. Her senses short-circuited under the dual assault... his mouth claiming every gasp of air from her lungs, while his fingers curled and thrust inside her wet heat, hitting every swollen, hidden nerve with agonizing precision.

Her heart hammered so hard against her ribs it felt on the verge of giving out.

Desperate instinct kicked in. Her trembling hands slid down from his shoulders, her fingers digging weakly into the hard, flexed muscles of his forearm. She tried to push him away, tried to claw at his wrist to force his hand out from between her thighs, but the unyielding strength in his arm made her resistance laughably futile.

Even worse was the betrayal of her own flesh. Even as her hands tried to shove him back, her hips moved on their own, arching helplessly into his palm to chase the friction. Her tongue, meant to fight him off, got swept into the desperate, messy cadence of his kiss, shuddering against his with raw, involuntary surrender.

The pleasure was too sharp, too heavy, too total.

A fine tremor wracked her spine, and a pair of silent, helpless tears welled in the corners of her eyes, tracking slowly down her flushed cheeks until they melted into the feverish heat of their pressed lips.

Then, Alex tore his mouth away.

The sudden break came with a soft, wet sound, stripping the heat from her bruised lips and letting the cool lounge air crash into her mouth. Naomi’s head fell back against the crook of his shoulder, her chest rising and falling in violent, ragged shudders as she dragged in desperate, trembling lungfuls of oxygen.

Yet even as he severed the kiss, his hand beneath her dress never slowed.

His fingers maintained the exact same merciless rhythm, working the slick, drenched depths of her core with surgical cruelty.

Alex didn’t grant her an ounce of mercy.

With every unhurried stroke, his long fingers curled upward against her over-sensitized inner walls, savoring the tight, frantic spasms of her pussy clenching helplessly around his hand. Every pulse of her Enhanced vitality fluttered straight against his knuckles, milking his fingers in desperate, involuntary ripples as she drowned beneath the stimulation.

Her hips hitched against his lap, helplessly chasing the friction, trapped between the agony of fighting for air and the blinding surge of heat consuming her pelvis.

Just as the blinding heat gathered in the pit of her belly, coiling into a razor-sharp peak ready to shatter her entirely, Alex stopped. His finger withdrew, leaving behind an agonizing void where that suffocating friction had burned just a second before.

The sudden denial hit Naomi with the violence of a physical blow.

The climax died in her throat, collapsing back into her blood in a sickening, hollow wave of unfinished fire. Her pelvis gave a tiny, involuntary twitch, her slick entrance clenching desperately around empty air. The damp ache between her bare thighs throbbed with a punishing void, starved of the very touch that had brought her to the absolute edge of madness.

Slowly, her head rolled forward.

Her dark eyes, swimming with unshed tears and feverish shock, locked onto his face. The cold, detached operative had completely evaporated. Instead, she stared at him with raw, unmasked indignation, her swollen lips quivering, her chest heaving, looking up at him with the wounded fury of someone who had just been thoroughly and unforgivably wronged.

Above her, Alex sat carved of stone, without a single thread of his composure out of place.

He tilted his head slightly, the faint trace of a smile touching the corner of his lips. Reaching out with one hand, he brushed a damp strand of dark hair away from her forehead with slow, tender care, before letting his thumb lightly graze the wet track of a tear on her cheekbone.

”What happened, darling?” Alex asked softly, his voice dripping with mild, entirely innocent curiosity.

He leaned in just an inch closer, his dark eyes wide and gleaming with faux concern as his thumb brushed over her quivering lower lip.

”You look like someone just broke your favorite toy.”

Naomi stared at him, her jaw locking so hard her molars ached. The absolute audacity of the man, asking her that with a face so clean and blameless, made a hot spark of murderous fury flare right through the molten fog in her head.

”You...”

The word barely made it past her lips, cracked and breathless, trembling with a ruined heat she couldn’t suppress.

Naomi stared at him, her chest heaving as she dragged in ragged, uneven breaths. Her fingers dug hard into his lapels, her knuckles whitening with an indignation that completely stripped away the polished veneer of a veteran operative.

”How could you...” Her voice cracked, hoarse and trembling with a lethal mix of frustration and bruised pride. ”How could you do that?”

The corner of his mouth ticked upward into an infuriatingly calm, effortless smirk. He leaned back against the counter, hands resting lightly at his sides as if the entire exchange had cost him nothing more than a casual glance at his watch.

”Do what, darling?” Alex asked, his tone dripping with smooth, unhurried amusement.

He tilted his head, letting his gaze track the wild, furious pulse fluttering beneath the hollow of her throat.

”Deny you? Or simply save you from yourself?” His voice dropped an octave, smooth as warm velvet, though the edge beneath it was razor-sharp. ”Did you really want to lose every shred of your composure right here, in the middle of an open lounge with fifty people watching? With your handler standing thirty feet away, choking on his own pride?”

Naomi’s breath hitched. A sudden chill cut clean through the feverish heat still humming in her veins.

”You’re a professional, Naomi,” Alex whispered, raising a hand to casually tuck a stray lock of dark hair behind her burning ear. ”Or at least, you like to pretend you are. Tearing your defenses apart in private is business. Letting you unravel completely on a public barstool is just sloppy. And I don’t run sloppy operations.”
