Berserk God of War

222: Chapter 222: Just One Step Away 222: Chapter 222: Just One Step Away Su Yuexi felt utterly devastated; Brother Jing had sent her onto the Divine Spaceship, yet he himself had not come.

What concerned Su Yuexi even more was the possibility that Brother Jing had encountered an accident.

Watching General Ning turn his back indifferently, Su Yuexi couldn’t help but shout, “Then I won’t go either, I want to get off the ship.”

General Ning stopped in his tracks and coldly replied, “You are not one of the chosen ones, if you want to leave, then jump off!”

Upon hearing this, Su Zhenglong and the others’ faces turned ashen.

The Divine Spaceship had already ascended, and at this moment, not only Su Yuexi, who had lost her martial power, but even Su Yue Immortal would undoubtedly die if she jumped.

But General Ning remained unresponsive, with a cold face.

Su Yuexi bit her lip hard, at a loss for what to do.

Just at that moment, Yan Ruyu suddenly approached and whispered in her ear, “Little wench Su Yuexi, there’s no need to wait any longer, your Brother Jing is already dead, killed right inside the Golden Soul Palace of our Great Shang Dynasty.”

Wham!

Su Yuexi stared at Yan Ruyu, her face pale and her body shaking violently, her mind thundering.

Then Yan Ruyu laughed again, “Sikong Jing even wanted to kill my imperial father before leaving, utterly overestimating himself, seeking his own death.”

“Impossible, Brother Jing won’t die, you can’t possibly defeat him,” Su Yuexi shook her head frantically.

However, Yan Ruyu just sneered continuously without answering.

At this moment, beside her stood Yuwen Guan and several young talents of Shang Country who had successfully passed the third round of martial testing, each with a sinister smile.

No matter how powerful Sikong Jing was, now he was a dead man.

Killed by the black-armored soldier Sun Gan.

Suddenly, a figure in black armor approached General Ning’s side, and a deep voice rang out, “General Ning, could you please slow down the Divine Spaceship a bit, maybe Sikong Jing will catch up.”

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone, including Su Yuexi, was astonished.

Because the person asking for mercy was Sun Gan himself.

General Ning looked at him surprisingly, and countered, “Shouldn’t you harbor hatred towards Sikong Jing?”

Of course, but now that I’ve killed him, the hatred naturally disappears.

Sun Gan added silently in his heart but said aloud with dignity, “General Ning, victory and defeat are common in military affairs, and besides, Sikong Jing is a rare talent, worth waiting for.”

With these words, many narrow-minded individuals felt ashamed.

At that, General Ning also gazed intently at Sun Gan and responded, “I misunderstood you before, thinking you would seek revenge on Sikong Jing, but I didn’t expect you to be so magnanimous, very good.”

“In consideration that you also pleaded on his behalf, I will order the Divine Spaceship to halve its speed before we reach the Minglong Mountain Range.”

“If he still can’t catch up by then, he can’t blame me.”

Having said that, General Ning gave the order to slow down the Divine Spaceship’s speed and then turned and entered the cabin without looking back.

“Thank you, General Ning,” Sun Gan said loudly.

He then turned around with a cunning smile, staring at Su Yuexi and the others, and took large strides towards them.

And while Su Zhenglong and the others still wanted to come forward to express gratitude…

Sun Gan ignored them, approaching Su Yuexi with an even more intense sinister smile on his face.

“You must be Su Yuexi, right?

Your husband, Sikong Jing, was killed by me in the Golden Soul Palace.

I personally pierced through his heart, yet now I have been rewarded by General Ning…”

Wham!

Not only did Su Yuexi hear this sentence, but Su Zhenglong and the others heard it loud and clear as well, looking at him as if they were going insane.

“Now, you can go and report me to General Ning.

I’d like to see who she will believe.”

Sun Gan sneered, making a gesture of invitation.

Intentionally pleading for Sikong Jing to slow down the Divine Spaceship was out of fear that Yan Ruyu and others would bring the matter to light, and now that he himself had voluntarily pleaded, anything Su Yuexi and the others would say would become irrelevant.

It would simply be seen by General Ning as making a fuss over nothing.

“Hahaha…”

Upon hearing that, Yan Ruyu couldn’t help but burst into a hearty laugh, then said to Su Yuexi, “That’s right, Su little bitch, my emperor father indeed can’t defeat Sikong Jing, but we have Black-armored Soldiers, don’t we?”

By now, Su Yuexi couldn’t hear anything anymore, her mind blank.

If before she couldn’t believe that Brother Jing would die, now she believed it, because it was the Black-armored Soldier Sun Gan who killed him.

Her teeth were clenched so tightly they made a grating sound, Su Yuexi wanted revenge, she wanted to kill Sun Gan, to kill Yan Ruyu and the others.

The mocking laughter around her made her feel as if heaven and earth were spinning, tears falling down in big drops…

“Big sister, look quick, it’s the Flying Blood Colorful Winged Horse!”

Just as Su Yuexi was about to faint, Sui Yu, who was standing at the stern waiting for Sikong Jing, shouted out loud.

In an instant, both friends and foes alike were completely shaken.

Su Yuexi’s eyes regained their brightness, and she rushed frantically towards the rear of the ship.

Soon the others also rushed over, and sure enough, they saw a Flying Blood Colorful Winged Horse, with golden light, soaring into the Cloud Layer.

And atop the horse stood a majestic and domineering person, if not Sikong Jing, then who?

“Impossible!”

Sun Gan roared in disbelief, his eyes bulging.

But he was a high-level expert of the Innate Martial Scripture Realm with strong eyesight.

No matter how he scrutinized, it was unmistakably Sikong Jing.

But Sikong Jing had clearly been pierced through the heart by his sword!

Yan Ruyu and the others, who had been overly proud, also widened their eyes and instinctively looked at Sun Gan.

What the hell is this guy doing?

“Brother Jing…” Su Yuexi gaped, not sure if she was dreaming.

Sui Yu clenched his fists and said, “It won’t do, even if the Divine Spaceship slows its speed by half, the Flying Blood Colorful Winged Horse still can’t catch up.”

At that moment, Su Yue Immortal turned quickly to Elder Wei and said, “Elder Wei, I beg you, please go and plead with General Ning once more.”

Elder Wei nodded and vanished into the cabin.

When he came back, he sighed and said, “General Ning won’t agree; half speed is already her limit.”

All of a sudden, Su Yuexi and the others became extremely anxious again.

What to do?

At this time, Elder Wei looked at Sun Gan and spoke in a low voice, “Sun Gan, why not you try pleading with General Ning again?”

Plead my sister’s case, what do they take me for?

If I had known Sikong Jing wasn’t dead, would I have pleaded earlier?

Damn it, why should I plead, why should the speed of the Divine Spaceship be reduced by half?

At the same time, atop the Flying Blood Colorful Winged Horse, Sikong Jing wore a solemn expression.

The Golden Soul Palace’s consumption of the Light Crystals was just too great.

In a blink, he burned through nearly ninety percent of the Light Crystals from the Great Shang Imperial Treasury, but there was still a bit of distance to the Divine Spaceship.

Fortunately, the speed of the Divine Spaceship had been reduced quite a bit.

There should be a chance.

Taking a deep breath, Sikong Jing injected the remaining ten percent of the Light Crystals into the Golden Soul Palace, and in an instant, both he and the Flying Blood Colorful Winged Horse were enveloped by golden light, whooshing straight towards the Divine Spaceship.

Such speed made everyone on the Divine Spaceship widen their eyes as Su Yuexi became so nervous that her palms started to sweat.

And in Sun Gan’s eyes, a cold light burst forth.

He absolutely couldn’t let Sikong Jing get on the ship; otherwise, he would surely report to General Ning that he had tried to kill him, and then General Ning might believe it.

With this in mind, Sun Gan immediately swept his gaze around.

When he saw that everyone’s attention was on Sikong Jing, he suddenly felt a surge of malevolence.

Out of nowhere, a burst of True Qi flashed in his hand, and he pushed it towards the back of Su Yuexi…

Su Yuexi, who was tense with nerves, suddenly felt a strong force coming from behind.

Standing at the very edge of the stern, she let out a cry of alarm; her body was flung viciously from the Divine Spaceship, letting out a piercing shriek.
