Berserk God of War

215: Chapter 215: Ye Changlian Requests an Audience with Your Majesty 215: Chapter 215: Ye Changlian Requests an Audience with Your Majesty As he spoke, Sikong Jing fiercely launched a spear thrust, causing the Golden Soul Palace to tremble violently.

But that was all; there was no other change.

Sikong Jing took a deep breath, futilely tossed aside the spear in favor of a sword, and began to circulate his True Qi throughout his body.

Then, with the Beast Skill Cold Snake and the surpassing Heavenly Grade Long Night Black Burning Sword…

Boom boom boom boom!

He slashed at the doors of the Golden Soul Palace with his sword, making a series of heavy, echoing sounds.

Wow wow…

Behind him, the combined masters from the three major organizations who were about to surround him spat out blood in unison, shaken to the point where their organs seemed to be shifting out of place.

They couldn’t get close to Sikong Jing at all.

Suddenly, Sikong Jing sheathed his sword and said to the Golden Soul Palace, “Yang Tianmo, wait patiently for me, I’ll come again tomorrow.”

After saying that, he turned, with the sword in his hand, and faced the 300,000 people from the three organizations, taking bold steps forward as no one dared to stop him.

Just like that, Sikong Jing swaggered out of the Imperial Palace.

Around him, the masters from the three organizations still brandished their weapons, but still, no one dared to approach, and those walking in the front had trembling legs.

The streets had already been emptied of Imperial City’s citizens; everyone who saw this terrifying show of force had long since hidden themselves in their homes.

At that moment, Sikong Jing came to an inn and pushed open the door only to see everyone inside shivering, their faces filled with fear.

Sikong Jing approached the counter and said, “Shopkeeper, I’d like a room.”

“Feel, feel free to stay,” the shopkeeper said, poking his head out from under the counter, shaking as he spoke.

Throwing down two Gold Crystal Coins, Sikong Jing went directly upstairs to a room and slammed the door shut.

Seeing this, the people inside the inn also rushed out the door in a frenzy, screaming continuously; Sikong Jing at this point was like a terrifying demon of the Great Shang Dynasty…

At the same time, the entire inn was surrounded tightly by the Royal Guards and the other two major organizations.

Sikong Jing, however, continued to ignore everything, silently saying to himself, “The Golden Soul Palace truly deserves to be a treasure surpassing the Heavenly Grade.

With my current strength, I can’t blast it open, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be shaken.”

“I need to ascend a few more minor realms first.”

Having said that, Sikong Jing communicated with the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison at his brow with his consciousness, and then entered it.

Gazing at the vast, dark land, Sikong Jing asked, “Elder spirits, I wonder if you could allow me to observe you again?”

Boom…

One demon beast after another appeared on the land, shackled, and the Divine Turtle replied, “If you want to watch, then watch, but don’t overdo it.

If you feel tired you must stop at once, or else it will be greatly detrimental to you.”

Sikong Jing acknowledged the advice.

The beasts of Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison were too terrifying, and his current realm was still weak; watching for too long would easily lead to confusion.

Just like last time at the Luoshui Jade Line’s warehouse, just an hour’s observation nearly caused him to lose himself.

Later, when Luo Ning told him that he had directly killed everyone from Thunder Wing Trading House, Sikong Jing found it incredible.

At that time, he was truly without any awareness.

Taking a deep breath, Sikong Jing stopped thinking further and immediately entered the state of observing the beasts.

Initially, his beast heart had not awakened, but now it was in the early stages of awakening.

He saw the beasts in a different light, more distinctly.

Especially the elusive aura they emitted and their rhythmic breathing, Sikong Jing could sense it all clearly.

But to see through the ways their demonic power operated as the Blue Cold Snake did, he was clearly unable to do so at the moment.

…

Outside, the Deputy Commanders of Jin Sect, Shadow Sect, and the Royal Guards gathered together.

“Sikong Jing has entered a cultivation state; he’s probably preparing to advance his realm, getting ready to break open the doors of the Golden Soul Palace tomorrow.”

“What should we do?

Should we go in now and interrupt his cultivation?”

The earlier statement was made by the Deputy Commander of the Shadow Sect.

Why are they all Deputy Commanders?

Because the Commanders either died outside the Golden Soul Palace or have already taken refuge inside.

Now, we can only rely on the Deputy Commanders to lead the teams…

The Royal Guard Deputy Commander responded, “I am in the process of contacting His Majesty inside the Golden Soul Palace, waiting for orders, right?”

Thus, everyone quietly waited until an order came through, “His Majesty decrees, at all costs, that Sikong Jing’s cultivation must be disrupted, even if it means sacrificing all the people from the three organizations.”

Instantly, the three Deputy Commanders looked at each other.

They knew the Emperor wanted to stall until the Divine Spaceship departed, by then, as long as Sikong Jing could not break through the Golden Soul Palace, they would be saved.

Therefore, Sikong Jing must at no cost be allowed any further improvement.

“Order given, all forces charge!”

After a moment’s contemplation, the Royal Guard Deputy Commander issued the command and added, “The three of us will take on the Flying Blood Colorful Winged Horse.”

Having said that, the three Deputy Commanders charged towards the Flying Blood Colorful Winged Horse on top of the inn’s rooftop.

Next, ten thousand men charged toward the room where Sikong Jing was located, their massive numbers and terrifying momentum seemed to shake the heavens.

“Thinking of interrupting my cultivation?” Sikong Jing, who was studying the Ten Thousand Beasts, sneered inwardly, his consciousness immediately withdrew from the Ten Thousand Beasts Sky Prison, and then he slowly opened his eyes.

The next instant…

Roar!

A roar akin to that of a Fierce Beast emanated from Sikong Jing’s mouth, infused with a touch of the aura he had just been observing from the Black Prison Swallowing Sky Tiger.

The terrifying Fierce Beast aura, like a circular wave, violently swept all around.

In that instant, the charging ten thousand men came to a halt, then wailed as blood spurted from their mouths, with hot blood also streaming from their other orifices.

All ten thousand collapsed, and with that, they drew their last breath.

Those around were stunned, staring in disbelief at the surroundings of the inn.

Then they unconsciously began to retreat, and then retreated more.

At the same time, the three Deputy Commanders who were attacking the Flying Blood Colorful Winged Horse also clutched their chests, being impacted by Sikong Jing’s roar as well, and nearly suffocated in that moment.

Their opponent was a Flying Blood Colorful Winged Horse from the Desolate Realm, daring not to hesitate an instant, they immediately fled to the ground.

Once on the ground, they too witnessed the scene of ten thousand people lying dead outside the inn.

The hearts of the three cooled instantly.

“Just a single roar from Sikong Jing has killed ten thousand men, and they are all Transcendent experts!” stuttered the Deputy Commander from Jin Sect, his voice hoarse.

“What do we do?

Do we continue?” asked the Deputy Commander from the Shadow Sect, looking towards the leading Royal Guard Deputy Commander, swallowing hard.

The latter was also at a loss; being killed outright by the shockwave meant that no matter how many more they sent, it wouldn’t be enough against Sikong Jing’s devastating roars.

“Let’s ask His Majesty again,” was all he could say in the end.

However, the reply they received was naturally the same as before, firm in the pursuit of the goal: unleash arrows, start fires, flood the area, use whatever means necessary.

By dawn, the inn was burned down, but many people lay dead around the area.

All of them had been vibrated to death.

And Sikong Jing, as if none of it concerned him, still sat cross-legged in the charred remains of the inn, unmoving as he cultivated.

As another day passed, no more people perished, because they realized it had no effect.

With just a roar from Sikong Jing, he could end lives, making it impossible to get close.

But what could they do?

If things continued this way, Sikong Jing would emerge from seclusion.

“The three esteemed Commanders, Ye Changlian wishes to request an audience with His Majesty,”

Just as everyone was at a loss for ideas, a melodious voice sounded.

It belonged to the Imperial City’s First Songstress, Ye Changlian.
