From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

However... the crisis is imminent, and every moment is precious. Even with Gu Ningxuan’s talent, if fate does not grant him time, it’s all in vain. With this in mind, Su Jiameng disregarded the sudden worry and followed Gu Ningyi’s steps.

”You want to eliminate the Green Wolf Star Thief Group, which I can understand. After all, you were once an Alliance Major General, and you have a basic sense of responsibility. This can be attributed to your hatred for the Star Thieves and loyalty to the Alliance. But Yun Cuixi... why do you want him dead?” Gu Ningyi pondered this issue for a long time, still unable to figure out the reason.

Star Thieves and Alliance officers are inherently opposing forces. It’s either you eliminate me, or I seize the opportunity to kill you. Su Jiameng wanting to eradicate the Green Wolf Star Thief Group... although the reason is far-fetched, it can somewhat be explained. But Yun Cuixi?

Su Jiameng rolled her eyes helplessly, probably because the other party knew her greatest secret, so she didn’t bother to hide it. Besides, Gu Ningyi’s presence here itself signifies his stance, and she should show sincerity.

”How should I say this... My guardian bottom line isn’t the Human Alliance’s official or the Military Department, but the safety of the entire Alliance. Yun Cuixi’s existence and his actions have crossed my bottom line. Not killing him makes me uncomfortable.” Su Jiameng sneered, ”I’ve been coveting his little life for many years. Now that he’s willingly left Qiming Star, giving me a chance to strike...”

Gu Ningyi listened silently. After all that was said, no specific reason was mentioned... but it was certain Yun Cuixi must have committed an unforgivable mistake. And this mistake is severe enough for Su Jiameng to risk her life to eradicate it... the plot is serious.

”Your second brother knows a bit more about this matter, hehe... Originally, the situation was like this...” Su Jiameng briefly explained the relationship between the Qiming Star research institute and Yun Cuixi and eight others, casually bringing up the Insect Race, ”Back then, I destroyed all of the insect specimens obtained from the laboratory. But unexpectedly, they were relentless and dispatched Li You to search...”

”I remember this matter. Indeed, many students mysteriously disappeared from the Xilena First Affiliated School at the time, but I was also entangled with some issues then and didn’t pay much attention. Surprisingly... they were so audacious!” Gu Ningyi felt a sourness in his heart, unexpectedly his second brother knew so much insider information, yet hid it from him!

However, thinking of the unfortunate third brother kept completely in the dark, Gu Ningyi’s twisted heart instantly found balance. Miseries feel less severe through comparison. Relative to the pitiable experiences of his third brother, he still knew quite a lot.

Su Jiameng maintained a rational and calm attitude. Regarding the live experiments, although she was an outsider, she knew this darkness had always existed. Want to completely ban it? That’s too idealistic. She recalls when she used to take drug experiment classes, filling little white mice with drugs for observation; after a class, a black garbage bag was stuffed full of their corpses, piled up like a mountain.

In essence, although those white mice were also live experimental subjects, they were ultimately living beings... yet what can one do? Despite sympathy and compassion, such experiments continue. However, no matter what experiment... there should always be a bottom line.

Capturing innocent people for cruel experiments and watching white mice being drugged brings visual and moral shocks of different levels. Su Jiameng knew they were all equal lives, not born to be experimental subjects.

But so-called equality sometimes is just lip service. Like when people and white mice from a planet are threatened by the Insect Race, deciding whom to save first requires no thought in her decision.

Even with inner conflict and struggle, her thoughts and decisions would not waver. Thinking about this, she couldn’t help but recall fools from her previous life calling for insect races as life, as life equal to humans, shouldn’t be slaughtered... Equality? It’s based on a foundation, and that is strength! The Human Alliance is weaker than the Insect Race, yet those fools claim humans shouldn’t kill insect races...

With her thoughts wandering a bit excessively, Su Jiameng heard Gu Ningyi ask, ”Those nine, besides Yun Cuixi, who are the others?”

”One is the leader of the Green Wolf Star Thief Group, one is Yun Cuixi; the two are about to meet, might as well take them all out.” Su Jiameng answered, ”One is Shangguan Ruiqi, claiming to be the eldest son of the Shangguan Family, and one is the wife of Qian Yue from the Qian Family of the Galaxy, both happily on their way to the Yellow Springs. As for the others... still unknown.”
