From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

Su Jiameng didn’t know the truth or the current situation. In her impression, having a novel adapted into a television series was an extraordinary thing, and for a moment, she felt a bit overwhelmed. However, she quickly returned to normal and began to think about it.

On the other end, K3 asked nervously, ”Will Xiao Meng be angry because of my unauthorized actions? If you don’t intend to go this route, I can intervene and cancel it. After all, things are still in the preparation and planning stages, so there’s still time.”

Su Jiameng naturally didn’t mean that; in fact, she was very grateful for K3’s help. She had always been quite cautious, even though she might act recklessly at times. Most of the time, she was extremely careful, considering everything thoroughly before taking any action.

If it were adapted into a television series, it goes without saying that the impact and the spread of name recognition would definitely be more extensive than a novel.

However... when the Insect Race war breaks out, won’t this television series become a ”divine prophecy series”? As the original novel’s author, she would undoubtedly attract more attention and inquiries from the outside world. In the past, it was just a novel, and she was particularly secretive about her information. Even the information used for signing a contract was mostly false, and at that time, she could easily detach herself from it.

But now... with the adaptation into a television series, there are both advantages and disadvantages. She needed to carefully consider the pros and cons. ”Of course, I won’t be angry. I’m just... encountering something like this for the first time and don’t know how to react or what to do...”

K3 breathed a sigh of relief and said happily, ”Rest assured, with me here, I won’t let Xiao Meng suffer any losses. Moreover, the people over there have said that the novel’s plot is great, the adaptation difficulty is not high, and they are very interested and have high expectations. It’s just that... some of the descriptions and scene settings require your assistance as the author...”

In Future Interstellar, filming television series rarely uses real scenes. Most are established in a virtual network with virtual scenes, making it convenient and quick, while also minimizing filming costs. Moreover, the scenes appear very realistic. Because the filming costs are greatly reduced, so many TV series are produced and released each year, and that film company wasn’t stingy with this investment.

Compared to the necessary expenses, it is actually the actors’ remuneration that constitutes a larger proportion.

However, due to K3’s request, the investors took this adaptation seriously, and the investment level was several tiers higher than originally planned. Given that the novel frequently involves warfare environments, the funds for scene creation were naturally higher, exceeding the investment for actors.

After all, it’s the author’s imaginary scene. To align more closely with the novel, the author’s opinions must be respected. Moreover... those Insect Race creatures, with their extremely abstract appearances, can’t be fully depicted with words. The author’s assistance is even more necessary.

Su Jiameng thought for a moment and then said, ”I don’t have any issues with the adaptation, but Boss Qin... there are some things that are difficult to mention, and it’s kind of my own willfulness... but I still hope you can agree. Otherwise, I’m afraid I won’t be able to go along with this.”

K3 and Su Jiameng have known each other for many years, and naturally, he knows some secrets about her that he can’t touch. Over the years, he has tried his best to avoid them thoughtfully. And in all their years of friendship, it’s the first time he’s heard Xiao Meng say such things, so how could he possibly refuse?

”Tell me, as long as it’s not too difficult, I can agree.” K3 nodded, not making things difficult for her.

”I... want to protect my personal privacy and identity. Although the novel is signed, most of the signing information is false. I’m afraid that getting involved in this will lead to information leakage. So, if it is adapted, I hope to use someone else’s information, at the very least... not let those people know my true identity...”

Upon hearing this, the other four people recalled a detail. It seemed that apart from the members of the Queen’s fan group, almost no one knew that the author of that novel was the once overbearing woman who swept across the Qimingxing Forum. And the fan club members knew because Xu Na and Lucy inadvertently disclosed it... Although they didn’t understand why Xiao Meng was so cautious, she had her own reasons.

”I can promise them that except for the name and gender, no other information will be leaked.” With K3 overseeing, naturally these small matters could be resolved easily, but he was still somewhat curious and couldn’t help but ask, ”Why won’t Xiao Meng disclose it? If the adapted TV series becomes popular, you’ll really become famous in the future...”
