From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

If Su Jiameng knew what Xu Lei said, she would probably secretly scoff. Su Jiameng has always only trusted her own strength. The so-called Goddess of Fortune never existed from the beginning. Even if there is a deity, it must be full of malice towards her!

At this moment, Su Jiameng had just entered the competition arena. The scenery around her distorted for three seconds, then revealed the backdrop for this chaotic battle. Su Jiameng didn’t waste any time and simply leaned against the nearby dirt-yellow rock to open the map.

The greatest feature of chaotic battles is that it provides participants with some time to arrange troops and formations, rather than engaging in close combat right from the start, killing each other to the death. In her words, a battle without intelligence is just a beastly fight, nothing worth watching.

This mode is similar to ancient warfare in the Ancient Huaxia during the Earth Era, where both sides arrange their troops and try to use various conditions within the venue to create an advantage for themselves. This can be considered a very interesting game, testing not only the combat power of both sides but also intellect and mind. Whoever can grasp the overall situation more perfectly can easily triumph over the strong with weakness.

Su Jiameng is not from the Mecha Commander department. Her knowledge in this area was learned from colleagues or seniors, and with continuous war practice, she became increasingly adept, forming a kind of reflexive instinct. It can be said that although Su Jiameng is just a wild Mecha Commander, her experience and instincts blow away those top Commander students in practical combat...

The difference between Su Jiameng and them is not intelligence and talent. As mentioned earlier, if we were to talk about talent and intelligence, there are indeed better ones, but the different encounters lead to vastly different experiences, which ultimately decide the large gap in reality.

”This map is indeed interesting...” Su Jiameng supported her chin with one hand, looking at the large map with a silent smile. Can she say that she truly likes this map extremely? It’s satisfying her to no end!

Because it’s a chaotic battle match, it attracts a huge audience, accounting for more than 60% of the income of the Mecha Fighting Arena, so the Mecha Fighting Arena is never stingy in this aspect, striving to make all external factors perfect. Chaotic battle maps are one of them!

For a chaotic battle match, the minimum number of participants is two thousand. With so many people competing on one map, the venue naturally cannot be small.

To increase the difficulty and watchability of chaotic battles, various large-area maps came into being. Not to mention two thousand people, even if there were twenty thousand troops fighting, it wouldn’t be a problem, it’s enough for players to bounce around everywhere. And to show the importance of the Mecha Fighting Arena, each map is carefully designed. As for whether participants can find out and make good use of it, it all depends on personal skill.

Su Jiameng didn’t immediately start looking for her opponents since the map is right here. The other side has thousands of people while she’s only one person. It’s obvious who is more likely to expose their identity, even just using one’s toes to think. Having a larger number doesn’t necessarily mean an advantage, sometimes it can also be a great disadvantage!

Being a Mecha Commander is quite an interesting job. You can advance tactically with laughter, arranging troops, withdraw and drive a mecha to smack someone in the face, proficient in paperwork, skilled in repair and chores... saying they are all-rounders isn’t an exaggeration.

Su Jiameng had a Commander partner in her past life. They worked together for two or three years. Initially, their relationship wasn’t good because there is usually a rather subtle mutual repulsion between Mecha Warriors and Commanders. Additionally, Su Jiameng had always worked part-time as a Commander, so she wasn’t keen on this newly assigned partner. However, after a few life-and-death experiences, she gradually opened up and truly accepted the other as her partner.

She thought this relationship would continue until the Human Alliance was destroyed by the Insect Race or the Human Alliance wiped out the Insect Race. Yet unexpectedly, he was just temporarily transferred out of Su Jiameng’s unit to act as a firefighter and died simply and easily.

When Su Jiameng arrived with her unit, that man who always smiled awkwardly but was extremely reliable at key moments had already been eaten half by the Insect Race, his grin unable to maintain. She swore, his smile at the time was undoubtedly the silliest she’d ever seen.

He could have been saved. If Su Jiameng could crawl back from Hell, why couldn’t he? Unfortunately, he stopped Su Jiameng’s attempt to rescue him and intermittently revealed the truth. It turns out that the Insect Race that bit him carried a special venom, capable of gradually devouring a person’s brain and memory, turning them into a puppet without consciousness, thereby controlled by the Insect Race...
